  • Perfect Tahoe Retreat

"We couldn't have been happier with our stay! The first thing we noticed when we walked in was how clean, quaint, and well-equipped the rental was. The decor was so cozy and inviting and we were immediately disappointed we weren't staying for more than two nights. We knew right away that we would be coming back. Jeff was organized and communicative and was fast to get back to me. We had some issues with figuring out the TV/DVD/Streaming Internet because the instructions in the binder didn't match up with the current setup, but I emailed Jeff and he called me back in less than five minutes of me sending the email. We were up and running in no time. The beds were all very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and blankets for everyone. Be aware that one of the three bedrooms is actually a large loft with four twin beds. This is not a downside for me, as it's absolutely perfect for kids, but if you are expecting to travel with three couples and want the privacy of a third bedroom, you won't have that. The place felt fresh and clean and I barely saw one speck of dust or cobweb. I also liked that there was a fresh kitchen sponge at the sink and little bottles of shampoo and body wash in case we forgot ours (we did). The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed to prepare all of our meals, and even the dishes, glassware and silverware were nice quality. The grill looked really nice even though we didn't use it. There were bicycles as well. The bookshelves were full of games, puzzles, books, and DVDs to enjoy. It really felt like we were staying in a friend or family member's cabin. We particularly enjoyed seeing Jeff's beautiful artwork as well. All in all, a perfect stay. We look forward to going back soon!"

  • Great choice

"We've had our first trip to Lake Tahoe this month of August. Traveling 7 persons, 5 adults and 2 kids (8 and 3 yo) we decided to rent a cabin so we could spend our vacation all together rather then be separated in some hotel rooms. Our choise of this cabin was great! First, the pictures on the website do justice in reality: everything was as described. Second, the location of the cabin is fantastic! Beautiful forest, fresh air, gorgeous atmosphere to relax. Rooms and baths were clean, everything arranged for you to feel welcomed. We didn't use the sauna. Nice to have one though :) There were extra clean linens, pillows, and towels available (we didn't use the extra ones), extra blankets. I liked the kitchen and everything in it, very handy! Having a bbq grill available on the patio it's just super! We bought charcoal from the local store and enjoyed our evenings by the fire. So relaxing! The stereo system was nice. We didn't use the tv, just to have more family time. The fireplace was beautifully done; however, didn't use it either. We spent our evenings mostly on patio by the fire. There are even some family games, some incomplete, but fun! :) The garage is open, no doors, but not a problem at all, is like a covered parking. A couple of big stores are near by where you can buy groceries, souvenirs, everything you need for the stay. They even sell hot soups to go. We were buying hot soups for lunch, not bad at all and very convenient. The cabin is really close to Heavenly Village, a place full of cafés, gift shops, gondola ride (breath taking), general store. Beaches are close, around 10 mins drive. We were at Zephyr Cove (Queen Tahoe cruise, we didn't take this time), Sand Harbor Beach (such a beautiful view!), and Emerald Bay. There are a couple more beaches we didn't have time for, definitely next time :) Gary, the owner, was very responsive, by e-mail, text messages, and phone. He even allowed us to check in earlier then 3 pm; well, we've arrived around 2pm anyway since we've stopped on our way in Hawthorne at the Military Museum and spent there some time. Quite fascinating place! Anyway, Gary was always in touch, which we really appreciate. It was a beautiful vacation in such a gorgeous corner of nature and our stay at this cozy cabin just made it more comfortable. We definitely will come back to this place again!"

  • Beautiful, clean and well equipped.

"The location is ideal, just a block away from the lake and a couple of blocks away from shops and restaurants. There was heavy snow and yet the roads in the area were cleated which was very important to us coming from the desert and used to a completely different type of weather. The layout of the cabin was also ideal and it accommodated our family perfectly. We can't wait to spend out vacations there once again."
