You will be staying in Hermosa Palms, a beautiful gated community on the Pacific Ocean nestled between a farm and turtle sanctuary just 5 kilometers south of the beach resort town of Jaco and a ten minute drive from the Marriott Los Suenos resort, which offers golf and world class sport fishing. Hermosa Palms includes a large community pool with a swim up bar. The pool is adjacent to the beach, which offers one of the most consistent surfing breaks in Costa Rica but is still family friendly.
The ground floor of Casa Willard features a fully appointed kitchen with a granite topped breakfast bar. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining room with a wood and rattan table that seats six. Relax in the great room, which offers three oversize couches, a large granite topped table, an entertainment center, and adjacent ground floor patio. An enclosed garage offers convenient, sheltered access to the front door.
All three bedrooms are on the second floor. The Master bedroom has a king size bed, a master bathroom, cable TV, blackout curtains, and an outdoor patio with deck furniture. The second bedroom has two twin beds and the third bedroom has a double sized pullout daybed. The second and third bedrooms share a full bath. Above the master bedroom, enjoy the sunsets, ocean views, and mountain views in the third floor observation deck.

Perfect Place for a Quiet Getaway

Playa Hermosa was just what we were looking for to relax and unwind... My wife, son and I wanted to go somewhere new where we could relax when we wanted to and do fun stuff when we wanted to, and this fit the bill. It's a beautiful home just a 5 minute walk from the pool, which is right on the beach. We felt very secure with security personnel patrolling the neighborhood 24 hours a day. And the house is beautiful, very clean and seemed brand new! A large great room contains the kitchen, diining room and living room and the master bedroom had plenty of room. Two rooftop balconies provided a beautiful view of the sunset. We were there during the "green season" and were concerned that Accuweather predicted rain every day, but it was like being in Orlando in the summer: sunny when you get up and then clouds start to roll in during the mid afternoon and maybe you have a shower. It was not a big deal. And there were plenty of attractions a short drive away: my wife and son loved ths shops in Jaco (a surfing mecca), and we went to several national parks where you could walk through the rainforests and see all sorts of plant and wildlife. A couple days we just relaxed and went to the pool and read. So relaxing! And all the people, the grounds crews, the security guards were friendly. Really, all the Costa Ricans ("Ticos" they call themselves) were very friendly. The only negative thing was that groceries were more expensive than we expected, which basically meant that it made more sense to eat out rather than buy food to prepare at the house. Hey - that's not a big problem! And there were good restaurants just down the road. I would also strongly recommend a GPS with your rental car. And don't attempt to drive in the mountains at night during the rain! It was really scary! But all in all, we had a great vacation and we would heartily recommend it to our friends and family!

We went for a family vacation in July 2011 during the "green season." The costs were lower and it was sunny all day! This home is BEAUTIFUL, great kitchen, plenty of space, comfy beds, gated community, relaxing pool! The location is an easy drive to Manuel Antonio and we went there twice during our week there. The owner was so helpful, giving us advice on places to go and see. Very responsive!
