My wife and I have visited this townhome on 3 occasions. It's now "Our Home" in San Francisco. The owner never fails to provide sparkling, clean, quiet accommodations. The price of this luxury is 1/3rd of the Nob Hill hotels, yet, the Chestnut street location is walking distance to all that Union Street and the Marina can offer. Informational books and brochures about San Francisco, in the unit, are very helpful to "we" tourists. We do not rent a car. We Super-Shuttle to the front door. The view is elegant, the kitchen is pristine. A washer-dryer, in house, is a plus. This place has everything to make a stay in San Francisco inexpensive yet luxurious.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My husband, teenage daughter & I had the best time in our week in San Fran. Using this lovely penthouse as our base we went as far north as Stinson Beach & as far south as Carmel. We booked two bus tours. One along the Pacific Highway to visit Monterey Bay, Carmel & Pebble Beach & the other to visit Alcatraz & all the city sights to familiarize ourselves with the Bay Area. We toured both the Stanford & Berkeley campuses. We took in a concert in Oakland after eating a great meal at Lake Merritt & saw American Idiot at the Orpheum. We ended our week with what started out as the main attraction and our original reason for visiting San Fran. and that is seeing the golf greats at The Olympic Club golf course! We even fit in seeing the scenic & serene Muir Woods. This is the first vacation that we have come home and immediately made an awesome scrapbook of our experience. Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful penthouse with us. We felt we had a wonderful night's rest everytime we returned to our "home" and were ready to go again the next day. We did rent a car for three night's of our trip & realized afterward that it would have been possible to have seen all these things without renting the car. We look forward to staying at this penthouse again! Thank you very much!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

I've been coming to San Francisco for seven years after having lived there for 16 years and always staying at very nice boutique hotels but after staying at the Penthouse I'm done with hotels - here I can make my own coffee and feel as if I am home away from home (only better). The value of a night here versus any hotel in the city is over the top. The Penthouse is clean, well appointed, and comfortable and so fabulously located along a nice shopping corridor and eating mecca that I could actually move in here and stay! The host was particularly charming and helpful. And did I mention they have OFFSTREET PARKING in SAN FRANCISCO - unheard of! Well worth your time and money. Enjoy!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

After reviewing this vrbo ad and comparing hotels' value in San Francisco, this unit is unbelievable. A hotel room in this City of equal amenities costs 2 to 3 times this price, and 1/4 the room size. Union Street is a short walk. Chestnut Street is off the front entry. All the appliances look brand new and clean as can be. Susan, who booked the unit is charming, and willing to assist us with all our needs. The views are fantastic. The unit is quiet and minutes away from classy restaurants, upscale bars and boutique shopping. And the ad is correct, don't waste your money on a rent-a-car. We'll return.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

My husband and I used to live in San Francisco and we are very aware of what is availble in the housing arena. We were a little dubious going into the rental because it seemed too good to be true- but it was even more than we expected. The views are LOVELY of the Golden Gate Bridge and Palace of Fine Arts. The location is in the middle of everything while still being quiet and residential. About a 10 min walk to the marina and about a 10 minute walk to the embarcadeo, theres no reason to have a car. Even though they have a parking spot. We thought we were going to have to compromise amenities for price but this rental is the best of of both worlds. It's got a washer and dryer AND a/c! Anyone who has lived in San Fran before knows that this is a LUXURY!!! Everything is brand new and could easily accomodate a family with the sleeping porch and spacious living room. Extremely light and bright and new and private, we will be staying here on all our future trips to san fran! (If you're reading this- don't take our dates! ) :DRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We just got back from a week in this condo-it was everything stated. Very clean, well maintained and a perfect location. We were so happy to stay at the marina vs. union square. We would highly recommend staying here-a big plus was that we were able to park the car. great value!! We walked everywhere! There was some great information left for us-sue was very helpful with all of our silly questions-bring warm clothes with you-they mean it when they say its always cool there!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
