Nice place. Clean and great beach location.

We were already familiar with Navarre Beach since we had rented another location just 2 blocks down for the last 7 years, but unfortunately it is no longer available for rental. We arrived early June at this location. Clean, practical and as we expected for a comfortable week vacation. Navarre has great places to eat locally and some entertainment, but if you want larger or more commercialized venues, you will have to drive to either Destin or Pennsacola. Not us-we want relative quietness and relaxation, which is what this beach provides. It appears to be semi-private, but actually is a public beach. This location is far enough away from the hi-rises at the other end of the island that you won't have crowded beaches or traffic problems. Don't worry, Walmart is just a few miles away, and there are plenty of fast food places within a mile or two. Whether you want to beach lounge, boogie board, look for shells or chase ladyfish (fishing) you can do it all, right out the back door and across the dune. Caveat: bring ALL your own beach stuff, this location doesn't provide any like we were used to. Great for families, not as great for teenage kids wanting to "party" or flirt with the opposite sex since it isn't a crowded beach. If you have little table-banger kids, be advised the dining table is glass. I'm a light sleeper, so I loved how dark the master bedroom can be made. The master bathroom is a little smaller than we anticipated, but the one downstairs (near the the dining room/kitchen) was bigger, so not a bad trade off. The three wood decks are awesome for viewing the ocean from the top 2, or for getting out of the sun and/or rinsing off on the bottom deck. Expect to see dolphin out in the surf at least once if you stay for a week. If you like to fish and know what to use, there is a good chance you will catch several varieties of fish, nearly any time of the day. Hint: a kayak works great if the water/wind isn't too rough. Overall, it was a nice place, clean and convenient. I would recommend it to friends/family. I agree with the other reviewer that the check in/out time is a little out of line (4 pm in, 7 am out) but Ed C said if the previous renters get out in time, you can most likely get in earlier. The pet allowance is nice if you have one, since not all places will allow a pet. Hope you have fun. We did!

A Great Family Vacation!

There were 7 adults and 2 miniature dachshunds in our party. We had a wonderful week with direct beach access and beautiful views. The townhome was well-equipped, comfortable, and convenient. We provided our own beach equipment (canopy, chairs, ice chest,etc.) as they were not included in the amenities. Our entire week was outstanding! This was also very convenient for our dogs. If you are looking for a restful and relaxed family vacation, this place will provide you with everything you need!

Clean, secluded, well furnished townhome on the beach

This townhome was perfect for us (6 women on a girl's getaway). It has been recently updated, so the place is really clean. It is in the residential part of the Navarre beach, a few blocks from the National Seashore. If you are looking to get away from the crowds, this place is perfect. It's a haul into town, but that's the cost of being secluded. The kitchen is great and fully stocked; there is a charcoal grill on the deck. The deck is perfect for your morning coffee. Each bedroom has its own full bath. One Queen bedroom on the first floor; upstairs is the Master with a king bed and a balcony overlooking the gulf; one other BR with two full beds and a day bed. Plus there was a rollaway and a sofa bed. Check with the rental agent regarding what items will be provided, and your check out time (which is way too early) -- he was very helpful.

Owner response:I wish to say Thank You for your review. My only response is about the check out time. Because some renters won't exit at the check out time, the time for leaving had to be set back. Otherwise, the cleaners do not have time to have it properly cleaned prior to the early arrival of the new renters who arrive hours before check in. I attempt to accomodate each of my renters to work around their time frame but it does get somewhat difficult at times.
