Mountain Wolf Chalet offers lots of room and European charm with an amazing location right next to the slopes. Ideal location for easy access to skiing. One shuttle stop (4 minutes) to Peak 8 for ski lifts, summertime activities, or strap on your cross-country skis or snowshoes and visit The Nordic Center right next door.
This spacious, 2000-square foot chalet sleeps 11 with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a sleeper sofa in the living room, and a rollaway cot that fits in the fourth bedroom. Two master suites (one upstairs and one downstairs) each has a king bed and its own full bath. One master suite includes a gas fireplace and jetted tub. The other has a wonderful view of Baldy Mountain. The remaining two bedrooms are downstairs with queen beds and share a bathroom.
The upstairs includes a living room with a beautiful rock fireplace, fully stocked kitchen and dining room. Enjoy a glass of wine in the privacy of your own hot tub on a deck with views of the slopes. An attached garage means easy and warm loading and unloading.
The chalet was built in 1997 and was recently designer-decorated in the European Alpine style our family loves. You are surrounded by pine trees in a relaxing setting next to The Nordic Cross Country Skiing Center of Breckenridge.
The best part is you can hike to Peak 8 lifts or hop on the last stop of the free shuttle. The shuttle is also available to ride into downtown Breckenridge with great restaurants and shopping as well as summertime activities. Another fun option is to walk to the newly-built gondola and take the aerial route to the village. These easy transportation options give family and friends lots of flexibility to come and go as they please.
As wonderful as winter is, many people believe Breckenridge is at its best in the summer and fall months. The Peak 8 Fun Park is walking distance from the chalet, and offers a slalom Super slide, mini golf, climbing wall, power trampoline, bounce house, zip line, mountain biking and hiking. Within a 10-minute drive you can enjoy world-class fly fishing or golf at the nation’s only Jack Nicholas-designed public golf course (27 holes)!
And for those who want to sneak in a little work in between activities, the downstairs master has a work desk and there is wireless, high-speed internet access in every room of the chalet.

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful mountain home with us. Spacious, warm, friendly, clean and beautifully furnished, it provided heaps of room for two active families with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Plus some very special touches. Relaxing under starlit skies in the hot tub after a tough day on the piste was a highlight and the location close to Peak 8 a short flat walk to the shuttle stop was ideal given the young ages of our kids. We loved Breckenridge too. It provided a delightful northern hemisphere pre-Christmas experience for the whole family - we're all from Australia - and the friendly service and good value encountered in the local restaurants helped contribute to a fantastic holiday. Thank you too Loretta for your very helpful advice and guidance. We really hope to stay at Mountain Wolf again one day in the not too distant future. All the best.

If you were to ask us if we would stay in this ski home again, we would definitely say yes and hope to return next New Year's Eve too. This home is in a perfect location to downtown and Peak 8 where everything is happening. There is only one stop between you and the base of Peak 8 where you can rent ski apparel, get lift tickets, eat lunch, and catch the gondola to downtown and Peak 7. We had hardly any wait time for the shuttle since that was our only mode of transportation. We flew in, chartered a van from Fresh Tracks and then took shuttles and the gondola during our stay. So conveneint considering this was New Year's Eve Weekend. And the home was immaculate. It was absolutely perfect for our family of nine. You can stand in the kitchen and cook and look out all the windows into the snow and mountains and the upstairs bedroom has a perfect view of the mountains at moonlight. Needless to say, we were there when the winter storm came in and the electricity went out at 4:30 for about five hours. We thought we were going to get cold. But we were just as warm because there were gas fireplaces and radiant heat I think because we actually got hot. We were able to cook with the gas stove and take showers with plenty of hot water for nine during the power outage. It was perfect because it snowed and we could watch all activity going on up to the mountain. The accomodations were just perfect and the place was so clean, thanks to Gracie. Also, the people of Breckenridge are so nice. Cannot believe how helpful and pleasant everyone is from the time you get off the plane. Definitely rent this place because you will not be disappointed.

Yes! If asked if our family from Florida would again stay at Mt Wolf Chalet (MWC), the answer would be a definate YES! Being from Florida, our family can be catorgorized at "Annual / Spring Break" skiers (once a year for one week) MWC comes very well equiped and is very, very comfortable. So well equiped that we ate at home every night (except one) thus saving a ton of $'s. Be the 1st on the lifts with a short & easy bus ride in the morning, ski all day, have lunch on Peak 8 or Peak 9, close down the lifts, then come back to MWC via a short & easy bus ride for an evening of R & R. Our family was fortunate enough to have one member of the family that is/has retired from the sport and so was designated the "designated driver" - to drop the rest of the family at the base of the mt's or even to the base of Snowflake lift ( the easiest drop-n-ski!) Then there is the private HTTM (Hot Tub time Machine) to relax in after a hard day on the slopes. Can't say enough about the steam and the stars after a day on the slopes. All in all, our family had a great time and would return to MWC in a heartbeat. A good value, extremely comfortable accomodations, well equiped, and close & convenient to the slopes. I must throw in a plug Black Tie Ski Rental - fairly priced and they come directly to your place in a well equipped ski van and fit your ski equipment directly on you at your place.
