"Harbor Cutie" has been enjoyed immensely by our family during weekends and the holidays. Built in 2000 with 3 bedrooms / 2 baths, this retreat (sleeps 6-8) is centrally located in the coastal town of Bodega Bay.
This charming escape offers a 180 feet of unobstructed and expansive spectacular view of the Bay, and is across the street to Porto Bodega Marina where you can purchase fresh locally caught seafood or book fishing, crabbing, and GIANT Squid trips depending on the season. Multiple excellent restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and art galleries are also within easy walking distance or a short drive away.
We are also only minutes from beautiful Bodega Head, the Bodega Marine Lab, Salmon Creek and Doran beaches. Step over to the Bay for Kayaking, Clamming (low tide only) or just to explore the bay to get your feet wet! Schedule Boat trips, Kayaking trips, and Horseback riding to the beach and possibly walk to your adventure from our house. Or you may want to try a moderate hike to Salmon Creek beach accessible from our property.
Our retreat has new, modern furnishing, most amenities of a home away from home, luxurious 1,000 thread count sheets in king & queen beds, portable child bed/crib, plasma TVs, internet access, and books, as well as toys/ video games for the children and adults. Relax with a glass of wine on the front deck while watching passing boats as well as numerous unique birds. This is truly a superb location for those who enjoy being closer to the water...
Plenty of *parking spaces, basketball, and play areas on the 2,500 plus square feet of newly installed driveway with bay view. The whole yard is securely enclosed by 3 feet high, 156 feet wide fence and have optional locks which makes it very safe for family with small children. The Unique Benefits at this House
Large usable outdoor space for children to play safely and a huge 600 square feet deck to have a family meal while taking in the panoramic bay views. Walking distance to many restaurants, fishing trip departures located right across the street as well as hiking to many trails and beaches from our home.

We purchased "Harbor Cutie" when it was just a house with open land and overgrown weeds. In addition, there were huge eucalyptus trees which had broken branches that kept on falling down every time there was a bit of wind. But the panoramic bay view and LOCATION sealed the deal!
For the safety of our children, we removed the old trees, paved the front yard, and installed the surrounding fence. We also installed over 600 square feet of deck with a gazebo and pergola along with benches for the family to enjoy the outdoor in comfort.
We love it here because of the view, the beach and because of the relaxed feeling we got every time we come here. From inside the house looking out, we can see the soothing water and the coming and going of the tides and of fisherman boats every day which makes "Harbor Cutie" a truly unique location!
This is also the place where my children first explored nature, learned to ride their bikes without training wheels and helped mommy dig for soft shell and horseneck clams! My son tells me "Habor Cutie" reminds him of "The Little House" by Virgina Lee Burton. This house is special and will survive through the generations and she "may never be sold for gold or silver"!
(Well, we'll have to see about that!) :-)

We LOVED Harbor Cutie!! It is a great home with everything we needed and more, very well stocked & cozy. It is really kid friendly especially with the finced front area, lots of room to play and the deck/gezebo was great to look out at the harbor view and relax with a glass of wine. The beach pass was nice to have also we put it to use at Doran Beach, the kids had so much fun finding star fish, crabs, and even little hermit crabs on the rocks. My mom had a wonderful Birthday weekend, and it was so nice of Jodie to leave her a bottle of Wine that said "Happy Birthday" Thank you Jodie! We had a great experience, we would totally come back again and recommend this house to others as well

My family totally enjoyed staying at Harbor Cutie. It was our first visit to Bodega Bay and found it a lovely spot to explore and eat delicious seafood. And our stay at Harbor Cutie made it all the more enjoyable. It surpassed my expectations of what makes a place child-friendly. My boys (aged 5 & 2) loved riding on the outdoor plasma cars, playing basketball and scootering. And inside, they loved the game system. We brought our Wii along, but they spent so much more time playing the Nintendo system & games already there. There was also a great selection of DVDs (loved that Hitchcock's "The Birds" was there, given Bodega Bay's starring role in it.) I was surprised by all the other toys too -- puzzles, games, books. Like I said, it completely surpassed my expectations for helping to keep 2 active little boys busy. Loved it! I can't wait to return again. And the owner was super-responsive and helpful throughout booking and in prepping for the trip. She provided recommendations for restaurants, shops, etc. It was a fantastic experience!

We had a party of 6 adults stay for two nights. It's very kid-friendly, so if you have kids it would also work out great. The house was clean and well-maintained. The living area will accommodate 6 adults, so if you have more than 6 adults then it might be crowded. One room has 2 twin beds, one of which which fit a guy who is 5'11", plenty big enough for an adult. Before heading out, the owner was very helpful in getting us ready for our first stay in Bodega Bay. She was very good at communicating with us about the house. We had a cute gift basket waiting for us. We took a great little hike from the house directly to the beach, which was laid out in the house welcome book. The view from the house was nice, it is right on the water as the picture shows. We ate dinner one night at the Sandpiper restaurant (a 2 min drive.) It was a nice casual restaurant w/ some non-seafood alternative for those who don't like seafood. The snapper was good, and the "golden platter" (a bunch of fried seafood) was pretty good too. My crab cake was "fishy" but that was my only complaint. We got oysters at the Tides market, which we then BBQ'd - highly recommended! The house has a weber so you can BBQ all you want. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting a nice relaxing vacation in Bodega Bay!

Our family of 7 (5 adults + 2 kids 6/8) stayed at Harbor Cutie for 3 nights during spring break. We had a great time. The house was right across from the water and it was fenced in so our kids can play in the large paved front yard. They rode their scooters and played basketball while the adults can sit on the deck to enjoy the beautiful water view, chat or read a book. Our little one cried when she got home because she missed "Harbor Cutie". She is already asking if we can go back next spring break. The house itself has an open floor plan and very conducive to family gatherings. It has everything we needed and just what we're looking for. It is also clean and comfortable. Jodie was great to work with. She is organized, prompt and answered every question I had. I would recommend this home for any family (especially those with children).

What a great place for a girls weekend. We had a blast. Six friends stayed in the house and we never felt cramped. We loved the family room as it fit all of us perfectly. We enjoyed the drive up the coast to various beaches and even spotted a few whales way out yonder. We had perfect weather on Saturday and enjoyed sitting out front on the porch or on the swing. The home was clean and well stocked. The homeowners have thought of everything. We highly recommend Harbor Cutie.

We made a last minute decisions to go to Bodega Bay for Super Bowl...Jodie was so accomodating contacting us in the middle of her family celebration to discuss the rental of this property. We loved the location and the very sweet home. We found it very inviting and well stocked. The view of the bay both during the day and when the harbor lights are glowing was an added bonus. The variety of outdoor sitting areas (loved the swing) made morning coffee and afternoon Happy Hour very peaceful. I am anxious to return with my grandchildren. The fencing, outdoor basketball court, drawing easel and games will add to moments spent at the house and a respite for the little ones after venturing along the coast and playing on the beach. Thank you for sharing your home and I hope you remain on the VRBO site for future visits.

The house had beautifully selected decor and it was very clean and tidy. It was graciously stocked up with lots of games for our children to occupy themselves with. The house was very roomy. We also really enjoyed barbecuing, and the view was lovely.

The Harbor Cutie is a GREAT place to stay! Unfortunately, we booked our stay on a super rainy weekend in October. We decided to chance it anyway but it has been rather windy and rainy since we arrived so we haven't ventured out for play since we have two young children and our elderly parents. Fortunately, this house is so well stocked with games, TVs, video games, DVDs, WiFi, comfy beds, and kitchen supplies! So despite staying indoors most of the weekend, we have had a relaxing and fun weekend away from home! In fact, we have probably had more quality family time because of it! Jodie also gave us some great restaurant and grocery store recommendations so when we do venture out, we have had great success! We'll definitely be back when the sun comes out - or not...

we had avery comfotable stay at the house its clean and well maintained. The kitchen is very good for cooking( we made dinners and also used the Bbq), lots of dishes ,pots and pans. We didnt expect so many toys and games; End up playing every night. If you have little kids its impotant that the house is closed in and you dont need to worry that sombody will run outside. Nearby there are many trails , we went hiking every morning and its all within couple miles from the house. On the top owner is very helpfull answering questions and accomodating our needs. I would definately recommend staying.

We had a great stay at Harbor Cutie. This owner is the most organized and attentive owner we have ever rented from. The front area was nice and spacious for the kids to play and ride bikes. This is a kid friendly home. The 3rd bedroom with twin beds was perfect for the kids. They enjoyed the toys and books as well. Thank you Jodie!!
