Why the Owner Chose Lake Placid
Lake Placid has it all. Four seasons of the year there is ALWAYS something to do outdoors. We spend much of our winters downhill skiing at Whiteface mountain, cross country skiing just about ANYWHERE, and snowmobiling the hundreds of miles of trails the Adirondacks has to offer. The rest of the year we enjoy boating or paddling the lakes, golfing or hiking the many high peaks in the area.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The Homestead is PERFECT for larger groups, big families or families vacationing together. TONS of room to spread out. Without question, the "fan favorites" are the huge decks, and oh yes, the 8 person hot tub! Kitchen is a great place to hang, if you love board games like we do, you'll be spending plenty of time in the "game nook"...
Owner's Map of Lake Placid
Our names are Kim and Tom Rath, and we LOVE Lake Placid! We met in college at Purdue University (Go Boilermakers!!), moved to the Adirondacks and the rest is history; fell in love and now have two wonderful daughters. We spend most of our time in the Adirondacks, we just hate to leave...
