Experience Keys living the way it used to be! Quietly tucked away in the heart of Key Largo, this gulfside property is a unique vacation spot, where you and your family can relax beneath the swaying palms, swim, fish, and play on the beach. Our friendly "compound" includes 2 other rental houses, plus a small marina, which allows for a boat to be launched and kept here at no additional charge. A fishing jetty, tiki, hammocks, picnic tables, BBQ grills, plus an always interesting assortment of other guests and tenants add to the laid-back, "keysey" charm.
We are also convenient to Key Largo's main attractions, like John Pennekamp Park, many fine restaurants, sport fishing fleet, and shopping. Pets are welcome and we also have wireless internet on the entire property, including the beach. Canoes, kayaks, and paddleboat supplied at no charge.
Inside, the home is decorated with nautical-style decor. The kitchen has granite countertops and task lighting. Two bedrooms (one king and one queen) - each with ensuite bathrooms, and a sleeper-sofa in living room - allow for four to six guests. This house sits back app 40 yards from the water and has a slight waterview from the deck.
As an added bonus, the owners live closeby, and there is a full-time property manager and staff to make sure your vacation goes smoothly and you leave our keys paradise with many wonderful memories.

The Unique Benefits at this House
We offer 3 rental houses and a houseboat, a sandy beach, and dockage. Our small marina is home to some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet. This is a place where everyone says "hello", and there are spontaneous gatherings at sunset. Many of our guests stay in touch with our local tenants and establish long-term friendships. Ours is the type of place that old-timers say reminds them of the Keys of the past - easygoing and "keysey".

We spent 2 weeks in March at the Deckhouse. It is a beautiful location. The rental was very comfortable and whenever we encountered a problem, the staff (John and Corey) were there when called. We would like to come back next year for a longer stay. The rental was gorgeous...I would recommend it highly. But don't take my time slot.

We stayed in the houseboat last April, then decided to rent the Deck House for the month of Feb from which we just returned. We cannot say enough about what a nice environment Dream Bay is. The owners, staff Kate/Eric/JP and "locals" (or locos?) are the best - made us feel right at home. We brought our boat with us and found everyone eager to help us putting in/taking out (thanks, Joe), plus got excellent fishermen advice (thanks Freddie/Mike). The sunsets are phenomenal right off the beach, or on a personally escorted tour by Amanda through the "cut" in the mangroves. The area is great as far as restaurants, happy hours, attractions, etc. by boat or car. We even had a fenced-in yard for our dog. I wish I could mention all of you guys here - thanks for another great vacation! You were truly appreciated! Jack, Becky & Mom (and Lucy, too) PS: Please don't fight over Jack's TN Volunteers sweatshirt that he left on the chair by the Bay House - feel free to auction it off to the highest bidder, or I suppose you could use it as a boat rag if you think it'll get more use:)

Our family has just returned after spending 1 month at Dream Bay Resort in the Deckhouse. One must know that this "cottage" is actually a run-down trailer. It's poorly maintained and was very dirty when we arrived. Cleaning of the floors and toliets needed to be done before we could start our vacation. Issues were expressed to the owner, but nothing was done to make repairs. Although the trailer was horrible, the setting is georgous. The beach was a huge hit with our family as were the unforgettable sunsets. We will return next December to Key Largo, but certainly not to this "resort" Annie, the babysitter was wonderful and did a great job with our kids and dogs. I would certainly hope the owner takes care of the many electrical issues before anymore renters are booked.
Owner response:This guest arrived with 2 kids and 3 dogs. She complained about cleanliness after her children and dogs had already tracked dirt in and out of the house. We never have complaints about cleanliness - our staff is meticulous -but I offered to refund her cleaning fee, which she accepted. She asserted she was a clean freak and promised to "leave the house in better condition than when she came.". Well, this was untrue. She left the house absolutely filthy! Piles of dog poop were all over the backyard and the house was full of dirt. They broke a blind, a statue, picture frame, and other items. The towels were left filthy. The amount of repair and cleaning needed was excessive, so I charged her security for damage, which I rarely do - only in extreme cases. She had my daughter, Annie, babysit for her several times, and she gave her a personal check, rather than cash, at the end, which will likely bounce (my guess). Who tries to stiff a young girl? There was only one outlet not working. They blew a breaker and that's why the others weren't on. A simple fix. She never communicated any problems. In short, this client is deceptive and her negative review comes from knowing her security was being charged.

Just returned after having 16 fantastic days at this place. The accomdation was fabulous - what I would call a typical keys home. A wonderful place for relaxing and chilling out. The area is lovely there is plenty to see and do. John is a great guy and very helpful. My advice just go and check it out its great !!

My boyfriend, myself and our 2 dogs had week long vacation in the Keys. We had a great time. The property is lovely and very relaxing. The Cullen family was warm and accomodating. The cottage has all the comforts of home and then some. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet getaway to stay at any of the available rentals. Thank you again for everything!
