The 'Lobsterman's Catch' cottage is a 3 bedroom cottage resting in a tiny fisherman's village on Orrs Island which is one of the three islands located in beautiful East Harpswell, Maine.
The cottage is tastefully decorated with a "lobstah' theme. It includes a large kitchen with granite countertops. Kitchen has stools and enough table sitting for 6, included is a separate breakfast area for a total seating of up to 14 people-perfect for a dinner party. Cottage is equipped with guest towels, and all the pots and pans for a lobstah dinner. Two bedrooms have queen size beds and one bedroom has two twin beds (trundle available) for a total of 7 guest.
The cottage is yards away from Lowells Cove, where you can swim,explore, and enjoy the beauty of what the ocean can bring. Sit and relax on the front porch swing that over looks the cove. The yard is large and is a great location for kids and pets to run around and play. It is a quiet,peaceful,unique part of Maine with many coves and small islands.
You can also visit the many landmarks which include The Cribsone Bridge, The Giant Staircase, and Lands End Gift Shop. It is also within a short driving distance to other attractions such as L.L Bean, Bowdoin College, Popham Beach and Portland, Maine.

Fantastic Vacation with Children

Orrs Island is a unique and interesting place to vacation, and this cottage suited us perfectly! Our two families, including children (aged 6,4 and 3) fit comfortably in the cottage, and its location, set back from the quiet road allowed the children to have fun running wild and free while the adults relaxed on the porch. The cottage was equpiied with all the materials, linenes and towels advertised. We ate lots of great seafood, visited the Lands' End shoreline and gift shop, explored a "secret paradise" rocky beach and took a day trip to LL Bean. It was a fantastic vacation- just the right mix of relaxaion and activity!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

Our family of 5 stayed here last summer. It was just perfect. The Webers are wonderful hosts. The house is adorable and clean and spacious and lovely. As a chef, I had a blast in the enormous kitchen! The kids spent every afternoon collecting snails in the bay (and we spent every evening and early morning listening to the snails escape the pails on the porch!). Our 4 year old loved playing with her dolls on the porch swing. The area is quiet and serene. It was a very relaxing home. We were able to do easy day trips to Portland and other towns, and still relax in the afternoon at the house.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.

My husband and I stayed at this rental for our third wedding anniversary, and could not have chosen a better place. It was beautiful, serene, and private. The house was very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed (and more). The Webbers are very gracious hosts, and they were willing to go out of their way to help us with anything if we needed it. Thanks for a memorable stay!
