As New York City dwellers we were looking for a truly secluded country setting where our kids and dog could play, roam and explore. We also wanted a traffic-free route that would take less than 90 minutes door-to-door. We love the Clinton-Corners, Rhinebeck area because it's beautiful, friendly, and offers so many cultural events and gourmet treasures. The farmers market, orchards and wineries are fantastic -- and how can you beat the $5 first run movies in Red Hook and incredible ice cream at Holy Cow?
Most of all, though, our home gives us a place to relax and unwind in the most spectacular setting.
Visit the Dutchess County Tourism website for lists of local restaurants, sites, outdoor activities, music other events.

We rented the house over New Year's Eve weekend (December 29, 2011 - January 1, 2012) and loved it. The owner was a pleasure to deal with leading up to our stay, very communicative and very reasonable when we had questions or requests. The house is exactly as it's described in the posting and was exactly what we wanted. It's spacious, comfortable and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen is fantastic for cooking for groups and the house is in great condition. We highly recommend staying here!

I recently stayed here with two other couples and had a wonderful time! The house is exactly as pictured, large & spacious. We spent most of our time together in the kitchen/dining/living area. It is perfect for that. No matter where you are sitting you are part of the converastion. If we weren't there eating & drinking, we were in the hot tub, which was awesome. The house had everything you could need and is immaculate. We ate in one night, cooking was no problem in the large kitchen. One night we ate in town at the Beekman Arms. The food was delicious! I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this house.

My family and I recently enjoyed a beautiful Fall weekend at this lovely home. You feel right at home when you arrive and we felt immediately relaxed! We enjoyed the amazing kitchen for our large breakfasts and the dining room/ family room provided an excellent backdrop for a memorable family dinner! Everything at this spacious home is easy to use/ find and the owners have provided all information for the area restaurants and sights, which were all located nearby. Wish we could have stayed longer as we did not have time to use all the amenities, including a hot tub and children's jungle gym! They looked like fun!

We are leaving tomorrow and we hate to call it a week. It has been such a nice get away for our family. We came from Portland Oregon to meet our son and his family who live in NJ. This was the perfect place to get away and enjoy the Hudson Valley, and specifically this great home that is perfect for us all. Hot tub for the adults, big safe yard for our 3 yr old little guy. It was the best. The house has everything you could want and more. We hate to leave but will always look back and smile about our time together in this wonderful setting.

My family and I travelled from Sydney Australia for our Easter Holiday, and we were so happy with our accomodations. The house was immaculate, spacious and felt like a home away from home. The grounds were fantastic for us as we have a very active 2 1/2 year old boy. We loved playing ball and running around the property with our son, but at night enjoyed some time alone in the exhilrating hot tub. It was a bit chilly out but the hot tub warmed us right up! We spent many days in the town of Rhinebeck going out for meals and having a shop. It's only a short drive into town. The owners were incredibly gracious, helpful and very efficient, a pleasure to speak with. I would reccomend this holiday home to anyone, as its suitable for both a family or a couple looking for a romantic retreat. Also, if you want a fun night out, Manhattan is only about a 2 hour train ride away.

We stayed at this home for a long family weekend. The four children delighted in the tire swing out front and the adults appreciated the hot tub under the stars in the evening. We had a wonderful warm weekend and ate out on the back deck and slept comfortably and quietly. Instructions from the owners were clear and they were responsive and flexible with us. We mostly ate in but one evening drove into town to pick up pizzas for dinner. We truly enjoyed our family retreat.

We had such a wonderful weekend! The hot tub, the stars, the fireplace all added to the charm and serenity. The nice kitchen appliances and nice bath products helped too. Cooking was enjoyable and I lvoe that I had so much space to move around. It was easy to get to and easy to go into town. We had a delicious meal at Gigi's and enjoyed the farmers market and hiking too. The mud room made it a breeze to keep the house clean. Thanks for such a relaxing weekend and for being so accomodating. We have rented many homes on VRBO, and yours was one of the best we have been to.

From start to finish, this home was a terrific experience. The home and surrounding landscape are truly serene and beautiful, the owners are easy going and great to work with. This home has ALL the amenities that made us feel at home. The kitchen and dining area is surrounded by windows and gets great natural light. Off the kitchen is a totally secluded deck with an impressive hot-tub & BBQ. We did some exploring through quaint Rhinebeck and Hudson, we did go into town and had a relaxing and delicious lunch at Arielle’s! We spent a most memorable weekend with our children and their spouses and we celebrated our daughter’s 30th birthday! Thank you for the wonderful memories!

From start to finish, this home was a terrific experience. The home and surrounding landscape are beautiful and owners are easy/great to work with. We love to relax and cook. This home has ALL the amenities down to an antique waffle-maker that brought me back to childhood breakfasts with my grandmother. The kitchen and dining area is surrounded by windows and gets great natural light. Off the kitchen is a totally secluded deck with an impressive hottub & BBQ. We did some exploring through quaint Rhinebeck and Hudson but honestly the time spent relaxing around the house was most enjoyable for us.

We had a wonderful long weekend in your beautiful home! It was comfortable, cozy, quiet and peaceful. It was so great to be so close to the city but feel a long way from crazy "city life”; to just relax, take a hot tub and read by the fire. We also enjoyed taking a local hike and the shopping in Rhinebeck. The fantastic, organic, farm-to-table restaurants made our trip complete! I can't wait to come back during a different season. Thank you so much!!
