Adorable Folly Beach home restored! Those looking for the 'old beach' atmosphere with modern amenities will fall in love. The home is on one level with NO STAIRS making it ideal for those with children or for everyone tired of carrying all of your beach equipment, groceries, and luggage up stairs.
The cottage has tiled floors throughout, lots of bead board, granite countertops, gas Jenn-Air range, side by side w/d, two screen porches and an in-ground POOL! The spa/pool is jetted and HEATED (winter) making it very relaxing and enjoyable year round. It is 15.9 x 10.9 boasts seating for as many as the home sleeps, and is just under 4 feet deep. What a terrific spot (with view) for unwinding and cooling off- or in the winter, heating up!
The home has 3 bedrooms (King, Queen, Set of Twins) and 1.5 baths. The large living area has a sleeper sofa and opens to the back yard (with spa pool). The dining room seats 8. Designer decorated in beach chic decor, you can't go wrong!
Boaters: The home is very convenient to the public boat landing and has ample parking for a trailer (the driveway will park 6 cars). This is a very inexpensive option to bring your boat or jet skis, have a wonderful home at the beach and enjoy downtown Folly. You can even see your family and friends boating off from the home!
Once you stay in this one, you will want to come back!

This home is simply adorable, from the giant magnolia tree in the front yard to the gorgeous live oaks in the back. The view of the river and marsh are so relaxing. My favorite spot was the back screened porch with a cup of coffee first thing in the morning for the marsh view through the live oaks. The interior is very nicely decorated and the kitchen is well appointed. The master bedroom had a terrific memory foam bed. The pool was big enough for our kids to play but not too big or deep to have to worry too much. There is a very nice swing set in the front yard under the giant magnolia tree which was a big bonus for our kids. This is the first time we have not stayed in an oceanfront property, but the river view from the backyard while relaxing in the private pool with a drink certainly made up for it. We opted to go the County Beach for our beach trips and it was great, but we did have to drive. Next time we will bring our bikes! Very lovely and quiet neighborhood for morning walks and bike rides. Lost Dog Cafe is a stone's throw, as is the library. Quick walk to the Center Street restaurants. Had a little chemical imbalance in the pool upon arrival but Ulf came very quickly to remedy the problem. Neely also brought us a new hammock for the hammock stand, which my husband dozed in with a book in the backyard. We would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We had the pleasure of staying at 106 W. Indian early in May. We had a family wedding in Charleston and needed a place for 4 nights for 6 adults. We found this darling cottage and it fit our budget. The place was quaint, clean and met our needs perfectly. It has 2 screened in porches and a very large hot tub. Ceiling fans in all the rooms and AC if you choose to use it. We just kept the windows open. The property managers were very helpfulland made our stay. The house is within walking distance to the beach and fishing pier. It is also just a few minutes from everything in Charleston. The wife and I along with our 2 adult children and their significant others had a blast. Thanks Again: (guest name not disclosed for privacy)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: My husband, Ulf, moved to America from Wiesbaden, Germany at 16 to play tennis. After studying under Nick Bollettieri and later graduating from Ohio State University, he worked in construction for Homewood Homes as president of one of their subsidiary companies. He moved to Folly Beach in 2000 and works as a real estate agent. Ulf and I met while working for the same company. I'm a native of NW Georgia who graduated from the College of Charleston. We have two sons, Max and Buzz. Plus our wonderful dog, Jack. As long time residents of Folly Beach and the Charleston area, we feel there's no better place on earth! Countless amenities, activities for all ages, and top of the line restaurants and nightlife. In addition, Folly boasts an unsurpassed landscape which offers a wealth of outdoor activities and gorgeous scenery. We hope everyone enjoys the area as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Other Folly Beach Properties:
My husband bought this home before we married as his first investment on Folly. We used it as a long term rental until living in the home ourselves. Once we stayed in the home, we realized what a wonderful location and property it is! The home couldn't be more convenient to downtown Charleston and all of Folly's amenities. We have two small children who love to walk to the playground, the library, restaurants and of course the BEACH!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
-The city library is a very short walk (the rear gardens with Koi ponds are diagonally across the street).
-Center Street restaurants, bars and souvenier shops are 1/2 a block walk.
- The public boat landing is a very short distance away, making it very convenient to put in a boat or jet skis.
- There is a local park which is about a block away which sits on the Folly River with pic nick tables and a dock perfect for crabbing or fishing. It also hosts local festivals and music.
- There are two playgrounds which are within walking distance.
- My favorite breakfast and lunch restaurant (The Lost Dog), is a short walk through the library gardens.
-The beach is 5 blocks away (and the Folly Beach fishing pier)!
