Our Asheville Mountain Cottage is very close to Asheville, NC, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake James and many other great places. Quick access to I-40 and uncongested roads leading to extensive mountain activities. This home has beautiful mountain views but it is not isolated requiring long difficult driving. The surrounding property has plenty of hiking trails and nearby streams for fishing and playing. The yard is grassy and open for young children's activities.
Three Bedrooms with one king, two queens, one bunk and a futon in the living room. Two full bathrooms with shower tubs and an eat-in kitchen with all the accessories.
Just a few minutes away are fun and enjoyable attractions such as The Biltmore House, the Grove Park Inn (the fireplaces there are tremendous on a cold night), Lake James, Navitat Canopy Adventures (Zip Lining), first class golf courses, mountain fishing, Mt. Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi River), North Carolina State Playhouse, art museums, music venues and challenging to easy hiking and camping. It doesn't get any better than white water rafting in the French Broad River during the spring & summer months. Snow skiing and snowboarding are just 45 minutes away.
Downtown Asheville is ten minutes from our cottage and once there you will experience great dining, music and shopping. Some of our favorite places to eat are; Sunny Point, Early Girl Eatery, Over Easy Cafe, French Broad Chocolate Lounge, Laughing Seed, Tupelo Honey, Bouchon French Bistro, Dobra Tea, Heiwa Shokudo Japanese Restaurant, and many, many others. Enjoy a fun night out to enjoy concerts at the Orange Peel or the Civic Center. Usually on Friday nights there is a drum circle event downtown and street corner music. Places to shop seem endless if you are a male but just the right amount if you are a female. Another great place in the summer is the Sky Bar where you can view the surrounding city and mountains from a unique outside venue. Take in a baseball game at the historic McCormick Field. Fun times can be had by all and your days & nights will seem to pass quickly so plan your mountain adventure carefully so you can take advantage of all that Asheville and the surrounding area has to offer.
We sincerely hope that you will enjoy your visit and that our Asheville Mountain Cottage was a relaxing and comfortable part of it all.

Warren Wilson college has great hiking trails with spectacular views and is 2 miles away. Black mountain is 15 minutes away and is a quaint town with lots of unique shops, downtown Asheville is 10 minutes away, you could not ask for a better location..easy to drive to , close to everything Asheville has to offer in a very safe area. Owner's Map of Asheville
We grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina but for the past 15 years have lived in Florida. Going to the mountains of North Carolina especially the Asheville area is like a breath of fresh air to us. The beauty, serenity and peace of the area never ceases to amaze us. There is always something new and interesting to do there and the most wonderful organic fresh food you have ever put in your mouth from local farms. Chefs from all over the world have opened resturants in Asheville that would appeal to the most discerning "foodie". We have two grown daughters, one whom attended Warren Wilson college in Swannanoa NC, a hop, skip and a jump from the cottage. As well as two dogs and three cats . We hope to retire to the Asheville area one day and take in those beautiful sunsets.. " We like calling Carolina home" and so might you.

My family enjoyed a long weekend at this home. It was very clean and fresh and had everything we could ask for. We did alot of cooking and the kitchen was well stocked. We really enjoyed the location, close to everything and sitting on the large wrap around deck and drinking our morning coffee gazing at the mountains. The fire pit at night was awesome, and the kids loved it. Tony the owner was very helpful as we got lost on the way there and called Tony. He gave us excellent directions and was answered all our questions. We hiked to the top of the mountain the house was located on and just enjoyed hanging out there. We definitly plan a return trip to this house when we have more time to take in all Asheville has to offer. The Joey Smith Family

I have rented this cabin on several occasions as I travel to Asheville frequently. After staying in hotels and other cabins in the area, this one is at the top of the list. It is close enough to Asheville and attractions that you can enjoy all Asheville and the surrounding area has to offer with very little driving time and you do not need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to reach it in the winter months. You feel tucked away in a beautiful mountain setting on a winding paved road that leads up to the house. Our familly enjoyed sitting on the large deck taking in the sunsets and the drum circle in downtown Asheville on Friday nights. The firepit on the deck is very nice on cool evenings to gather around. This home was very clean and up to date and easy to navagate if you have difficulity walking. The owners were very nice to work with and helpful. I highly recommend this home.
