  My friend & I had a great time. Loved the cabin,quiet and view. Would love to come again, but later in the summer. Too cold while we were there. I wanted to write in your book, but forgot. Tried to send an email, but it didn't go through. Thank you for your hospitality & sharing your property with us. We will be back!

  This is an excellent place to relax. My wife and I had to delay our trip because she was diagnosed with and went thru treatment for cancer. The owners were beyond understanding and moved our stay twice. Would highly recommend this to any couple for a quite getaway.

• Relaxing stay

  My fiance and I stayed in this cabin for a relaxing stay in the mountains and to go hiking, and that is exactly what we got. The cabin is perfect for a couple, and there are tons of hiking trails nearby (In fact, there is an 8 mile trail within walking distance!). We enjoyed playing the board games provided as well. A fair warning though, you DO have neighbors on both sides. Plenty of privacy though.

  A delightful experience! Ken and Marsha were fantastic hosts, they met us in the town and led us to the cabin, where we were met with a brief tour and an open invitation to call them whenever we needed. The cabin had everything we might have needed; it was very well provisioned. The entire place was quite clean and tidy, as well as looked identical to the photos. The area is calm, quiet and peaceful. At times the most noise in the entire areas was a wind chime hanging on the porch. Plenty of opportunities to take to the great outdoors and enjoy some of the local hiking trails and the nearby town of Estes Park (only about 15 minutes of driving with beautiful views for the entire trip down). Over all, a fantastic experience! If given the chance I would certainly return again!

  We had 3 lovely days at your cabin, and it was all we had hoped for- clean, comfortable, cozy, lovely and peaceful surroundings, and cannot forget being able to listen to the river rushing down below. And I loved the antique fridge! We especially loved dining, or drinking our coffee at the large picture window, and just taking in our lovely scenery. The old outhouse was a fun touch. We did manage to stop by the general store in town before leaving, and did share one of the giant cinnamon rolls. Pretty good stuff. I'm so glad we chose your cabin, as opposed to one in Estes Park. We loved that we were only 10 minutes out, but far, far away from the traffic and crowds. We also really appreciated how friendly the neighbors were as we explored, and attempted to fish our way down the river on the first evening. Thanks Marsha and Ken for being such wonderful hosts!

  What a wonderful place to stay in the mountains! Very nice cabin, Wonderful owners closeby and a great place to be in the woods. This is our first time using VRBO. Have used Real Estate firms before. Very happy with our experience. The owners were very trustworthy and made it a very easy and satisfying experience for us. We are very happy that we did this and hope to go back again!

  We recently spent three nights at HobertHaven and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We went in late spring but the weather decided it was winter and gave us about 8 inches of snow before we departed. That was okay as it provided a perfect scenery for playing cards and cooking together and listening to some of the great classical music that is provided in the cabin. We were able to explore Estes Park and Loveland during our time there and found a good restaurant in Loveland to enjoy. It is not too far to Boulder from there either and on our way out we stopped there to look around and have lunch at the Tea House which is a great treat. I want to return in the summer or fall sometimes and have time to do some hiking in Rocky Mt. National Park which is just minutes away from the cabin. Although we have been to this area repeated times over the years, one can always find some new trail or area to explore. The beauty of the region is unsurpassed and there are many animals to catch one's eye if you are looking for them. We spotted a small bird called a Ruby Crowned Kinglet and, thanks to all the good nature books in the cabin, were able to identify it before we left. The cabin is well equipped with everything one might need in order to enjoy your time away. Many spices and supplies make cooking easy so you just need to stop at the grocery store on your way in and buy your food and then you can cook as you desire. I enjoy cooking and my wife enjoys what I cook so we have a perfect combination and loved sitting on the deck with coffee overlooking the river down below and listening to its quiet roar going past us, that is what true relaxation means to us. I would recommend to anyone who may want a perfect place for a getaway in nature's bounty to think about coming to HobertHaven. Thanks to Ken and Marsha for providing this wonderful place for others to enjoy.

  We spent a week at the Hobarthaven cabin in mid-July this past summer and thoroughly enjoyed it! The area is spectacular, with Rocky Mountain National Park nearby, but I think we enjoyed the cabin and surrounding area as much as the park. It was a nice diversion from the very "touristy" area in the town of Estes Park, and we would highly recommend it!

  After the chaos and stress of trying to plan a wedding, this was the perfect place for our honeymoon! The sights and sounds were phenominal! We saw big horn by the Alluvial Fan, elk everywhere, moose on the Grand Lake side of Trail Ridge Rd., a bobcat, fox, and a bear on our way home last night! Big footprint on the deck our 2nd day here. Also another "cat like" animal on our hike out back! Your hospitality and the fresh flowers were anything by ordinary! Sad to leave but will return sometime. -- June 7-14, 2009

  We had 4 perfect nights at your charming cabin. We wouldn't change a thing. We love the views, river sounds and cozy comfort. I especially like your lovely handmade quilt!! We are so thankful you are willing to share your treasured cabin with us. It will remain in our memories forever along with your welcoming personalities. Thank you to the people who recommended trails. We followed their advice and loved the diversity of the walks. we especially liked Lumpy Mountain and the Fern trail.
