This beautiful Gold Rated open home is located on the 13th fairway of the Turtle Point golf course. All bedrooms open onto a deck or porch and all but one are screened. Three bedrooms are master kings and two have twin beds.
The community pool is 50 yards from the front door and the ocean is 500 yards. Kiawah Island is located 21 miles from beautiful Charleston, South Carolina, and offers fine and casual dining, miles of bike and walking trails, and a very beautiful, family friendly environment.
The home is light and airy and offers the perfect setting for a wonderful vacation. You can golf, hike, bike, or swim or simply sit on one of the two porch swings or one of the several rocking chairs and relax and read.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We had previously owned smaller homes on Kiawah and we were looking for a larger place for our growing family of grandchildren. We fell in love with this home because of it's open interior, closeness to the pool and beach, the large front and back porches, and the expanded parking. It is a great home for large families and children.
We have several loyal renters who return every year and have become good friends.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Parking is very restricted at Kiawah Island and we have parking for a total of 4 cars; 3 in the garage and 1 in the driveway.You can see the pool from the front porch and listen to the ocean from the back porch when the wind is quiet.
Breakfst, lunch and dinner is available and within walking distance

Judy and I met in college and have been together for almost 50 years. Our only problem is that she is a Michigan graduate and I am Ohio State.We discovered Kiawah Island while vacationing at Myrtle Beach and we immediately knew that this is where we wanted our second home. We bought our first house with 4 other couples in 1978 and have gradually moved larger until we have our dream house and location. We love being close to the pool and just a short walk to the ocean.

My family has been coming to Kiawah since the late 1980s. This is easily the best property/value we have ever rented. The location is perfect as it is behind the second security gate and yet, located in the center of the island. This allows for easy and convenient access to the beach (a par five or 5 minute walk away). Once you are at the beach, it is rarely if ever crowded. An easy stroll to the Sanctuary for coffee or cocktails is available or, a long, enjoyable walk to the Ocean Course clubhouse for lunch makes for a great day (Tip: early morning is the best time to see dolphins close to the shore feeding). We rent during the off season which is a great time to visit Kiawah. In November, we regularly enjoy temperatures in the mid-70s during the day. Additionally, its not uncommon that during a 1-2 hour walk on the beach we see less than 20 people. The house has everything you would ask in a rental property. It is always very clean. The kitchen is well-stocked with a more than adequate array of cooking and dining utensils. We love the open floor plan that flows from the kitchen through two dining ares into the family area. An expansive screened porch on the main floor allows for comfortable seating for 10 people. We appreciate that each bedroom has its own bath. The Master suite is extremely comfortable complete with its own private screened porch. The Wi-Fi service in the house can easily accommodate multiple computer users. Of course you have all of the amenities that Kiawah has to offer at your disposal. In addition to the beach, there is world-class golf, miles of bike trails, first-rate dining options and a community pool right around the corner from this property. Because this property is located past the second security gate, you can drive anywhere on the island without having to phone ahead or getting a special pass. Additionally, there is easy access to Charleston, SC, Bohicket marina and Savannah, GA is only a 2 hour drive away. We have rented this property two years straight and, for all of the above reasons, we intend to continue to rent for years to come.

My family had a fabulous time at your house week. The house worked out perfectly for us! My sister and I have two toddlers with different schedules so it worked out for the boys to have their own rooms and the grandparents did not get woken in the night because they were on the other side of the house! We loved biking to the beach everyday and we really enjoyed the porches. We liked that it was pretty safe for the toddlers - the leather chairs and durable seat covers were a blessing. We used the downstairs fridge/freezer quite a bit for drinks. The property was very clean and well-maintained. We hope to return for another family reunion next year!

This is a wonderful house on Kiawah Island. Nine ladies stayed over a long weekend. We loved the screened-in porch for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. The kitchen is well equipped and easily accomodates three to five "cooks" in the kitchen at a time. The spacious living room is where we get together to play games, read and catch-up with one another. The bedrooms and baths are large enough for nine women to display all their make-up etc. Most of the women walked daily to the beach, which is a short and pretty walk. We also play tennis daily on courts that are a short drive from the house. I highly recommend this lovely home for the perfect get-a-way..

My family has been coming to this house for the last three years. We absolutely love it. It is clean and well presented and large enough for all of us and extended family too. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and there is plenty of common areas to allow people to gather together or find their own quiet corner if they need it. I love that it feels like Mike and Judy's home. We have watched their grandchildren grow over the years on the photos on the wall. The location is great. We are so close to the pool that we can walk their in swimsuits. The beach is short walk or bike ride away and the golf course view is very peaceful. We enjoy watching for deer on the golf course as the evening draws in. My children love the porch swings. My husband loves the BBQ and I am happy that this is a wonderful family vacation in a home I would be delighted to call my own.

Our family had a fantastic time during our stay at 18 Ocean Green. The layout of your home is very spacious and open. We have been vacationing in Kiawah for many years and I realy loved this house. It was clean, each bedroom had a nice bathroom, The dining room table was very family friendly for all our dinners and playing games at night. The porch swing was great to relax on. The pool was fun and a short walk. Easy bike ride to beach too. Mike you were a delight to work with, You had me laughing many times. We would definitely love to stay again in your fabulous home. I even took special care of the flowers they were beautiful my week there but... boy was it HOT. Thanks for sharing . "Buckeye Deb"
