My sons and I did a long term rental for the summer in this condo. We spent 4 months here and it was a great experience. The condo is perfect and we have no complaints. The layout is supreme and garage access to the unit is icing on the cake. This place felt like home. I promise, you will enjoy this place and it beautiful views- Jimmy Orr 10/11/2012Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our recent stay at the Twin Elks Lodge townhouse was very enjoyable. There was excellent access to catch a bus to peak 7, 8, or 9 right out in front of the townhouse. We could also shoot off the four o'clock run ski to within 50 ft of the door to the townhouse. The walk to Main St. to shop or eat was less than 5 minutes. The pictures and the description of the townhouse were accurate and the property was clean and well maintained. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for easy access to both the slopes and town for a reasonable price.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.
Owner response: The location is absolutely the BEST aspect of our townhouse!! It is so convenient to everything!!

My wife and two of our children, ages 15 and 13, stayed for 5 nights for a primarily cycling trip. The townhouse is in a great location, only 1 block from Main Street, and the heart of the business district I might add. Easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Since it is a townhouse, having the private garage was perfect for putting our bikes in a secure location when we weren't riding them. The furniture is very nice and comfortable. You can tell the place is well cared for. We found everything to be in good working order. The check-in and check-out procedures went very well. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a 2-bedroom unit that has all the features I have mentioned and is priced fairly.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much! We DO LOVE the location! In fact, that is the primary reason we chose this townhouse above many others that were available at the time! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to opening up our home again in the future to you..... and hopefully, to your friends and family that you refer to us!! :-)

The good: location (easy walk to Main Street, short walk to bus to get to peak 8 or 9, nice, roomy living room for relaxing after a long day. Nicely equipped kitchen, heated garage, owner very helpful and responded immediately to all emails and phone calls. The not as good: bedrooms very small (but beds were comfortable), not enough room for storage. Hot tub across the street not hot enough and kind of tucked away in between buildings--not social or with a particularly nice view. These were very minor issues. Would definitely recommend staying here. We were 3 adults and 2 kids and had a blast.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our family of four (wife and I, two teenage boys) stayed here for a spring break vacation. This condo is ideally located - close to the slopes, with a bus stop 100 feet away. At the end of the day, you can ski to within 1.5 blocks away. Center of town is a 5 minute walk. Any and all of the modern conveniences are available here. The condo is very comfortable, nicely decorated, and comes with an owner that goes above and beyond your expectations. They make sure your vacation is enjoyable, relaxing and hassle free. You're staying in their "home", not a condo. The place is ideal - can't go wrong here. We highly recommend it.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We absolutely love our townhouse in Breckenridge! We think you can't beat the location! And one of the most rewarding aspects of owning a wonderful place like this is being able to share it with our guests!

This is a very cozy, comfortable condo. We loved having the drive-in heated garage, especially in the am and pm when you're putting on and taking off gear. Also, knowing your gear is safely stored at night and not in your way in the condo was great. The location for catching the bus to the lifts is ideal...just a few steps away. We never located the trail to ski back in the afternoon, but taking the bus back was fine. The condo was also an easy walk into town if you didn't have a car. We had a great time and were very comfortable (with four of us).Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: To ski-in to our townhouse you ski down the 4 o’clock run towards the “town” area when you arrive at the split. This way down you will stop at the street and then it's only a 1.5 block walk to the condo – mostly downhill. By taking the “gondola” route at the split you wind up at the very bottom, and then it’s a 2.5 block walk back to the condo - mostly uphill.

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo this past weekend! You can tell the owners took a lot of pride in their renovations - everything was done top of the line. The new beds were very comfortable, and the space was enough for 4 people very comfortably. The location was incredible - 20 steps from the bust stop up to the slopes, and 2 blocks from Main Street for walking to dinner at night. We really didn't need our car! Since this was our first trip to Breckenridge, we didn't know what to expect regarding location, and this condo was perfect.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We recently stayed in the townhome for a family ski vacation with our two boys. The townhome has a nice layout, with the living area upstairs and the sleeping quarters and garage downstairs. The heated garage is SO nice! We had rented a mini-van and it fit nicely in the garage and still left us room for ski gear, boots and shoes. The kitchen was well-stocked with pans and cleaning supplies. Everything was very clean and in good condition. The bedrooms were a little cramped, but that was a worthwhile trade-off for a king bed in one room and a queen and trundle bed in the other. The two bathrooms worked well for us. We never ran out of hot water and had enough room for everyone to be getting ready at the same time. The bathrooms were a little dark and could use a little stronger lighting, but it worked fine for us for a short stay. The upstairs living area was our gathering place and we enjoyed our time together there, watching movies and television after the ski day was over. As for the most important aspect of the townhome, it was convenient for skiing. You have to understand that this is not a ski-in, ski-out location, but it is right next to the bus line. It was a very short walk (100 feet?) to the bus stop. So lugging equipment was easy and the buses run every 20 minutes, so it was a breeze to get to the different peaks. On one side of the street you have the bus to Peak 9. On the nearer side, you have the bus to Peaks 7 & 8. Couldn't be easier. Plus, you are close enough to town to walk to Main Street. Great location! The only disappointment with the townhome was with the rental company, not the owner. We weren't allowed access to the hot tub or game room, which really disappointed my boys. And we had a problem with the thermostat that the rental company sent someone out to look at, but they didn't fix the problem. However, none of these things detracted from a great vacation and a rental unit that worked well for our family.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Dear Craig, So sorry you had difficulty with the company who took care of you while visiting our townhouse! We are handling your concerns and things will definitely be resolved ASAP! We did get the hot tub/game room issue resloved already. They changed the locks and we now have a number push-pad with a combination that works! Thanks so much for your patience with these issues and hopefully next year you won't have anything of concern to deal with!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: My four siblings and I just inherited a beautiful vacation home from my parents in Avalon, NJ and also were able to purchase another vacation home in Breckenridge Colorado! We are very excited to be able to rent both of our vacation homes out so that others can enjoy two of the most desirable vacation resorts in the USA! We all grew up loving the outdoors and experiencing many fun and exciting times at the beach and in the mountains and want to share our experiences with you!
Why the Owner Chose Twin Elks Lodge:
We chose to buy a home in Breckenridge because of it's location in the Ten Mile Range and the elaborate trail system it has! The Town of Breckenridge is located 9,603 feet above sea level in a U-shaped valley on the western slope of the Continental Divide. The Town boasts world-class amenities for residents and visitors alike. Your day can be filled with everything from a class in the Arts District, to a yoga class at our Recreation Center, to a ski at the Gold Run Nordic Center, to a concert at the Riverwalk Center, to a game of hockey at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena, to a play performed by the Backstage Theater- the possibilities are endless. Of course, the Breckenridge Ski Resort continues to be one of the most visited amenities in Breckenridge. But/And don’t forget the summer! Locals always say, 'I came for the winters and stayed for the summers.'
The Open Space and Trails programs in Breckenridge provide unparalleled access to the natural beauty of Breckenridge year-round. It is still a small Town, but with big town amenities! Breckenridge has as much to offer off the mountain as it does on any of its 155 trails. It is the largest historic district in Colorado and features a wide variety of restaurants/bars (76), shops/boutiques (203), activities, culture and attractions to entertain you.
Breckenridge hosts hundreds of events every year. Many events are organized by the Breckenridge Resort Chamber, the Breckenridge Ski Resort and the Town of Breckenridge.
As a family we have enjoyed rafting the Colorado's white waters with spectacular mountain and canyon scenery and have had many fun and exciting thrills paddling the day away. And you just can’t beat the mountain biking that Breck has to offer! There are a 101 things to do in Breck so don’t wait a minute longer!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Our condo is your home -- you'll love staying here as much as we do. It is a beautiful, well maintained two bedroom condo with everything so close and so conveniently located! The condo was just totally remodeled with all new carpeting and paint. It features comfy new furniture, cable TV, DVD player, and free high speed internet with both cable and Wi-Fi. The kitchen is well-equipped if you want to eat in, but restaurants and bars in all price ranges are within two blocks. A supermarket is a few blocks away, too. A washer and dryer are in the unit. The gas fireplace feels wonderful after a day of skiing.
After you arrive just park the car in your private heated garage and don’t take it out again until you are ready to go home! The FREE Breckenridge shuttle has a stop steps away from your door and is a 5 minute ride to the base of Peak 8! Or you can walk to the new gondola and ski-in on the new Skyway skiway. At the end of the day you may ski to the condo via the Four O' Clock run and Sawmill Road or the new cut-off from Four O' Clock run to the parking lots.
Then after a great day of skiing, hiking, biking, rafting, etc., etc. (whatever you choose to do) come back and enjoy sitting on the deck overlooking the pines, or relax in the hot tub, or curl up with a good book or movie in front of the fireplace.
For fun in the evening, you will only be a two minute walk from the heart of downtown Main Street to enjoy shopping, restaurants, and the night life of Breck.
All that said.....the best thing about staying at our condo in Breck is the year round fantastic climate: Winter Temperatures: 28 degrees daytime / 15 degrees night time ....Summer Temperatures: 70-80 degrees daytime / 50 degrees night time ....Average days of sunshine per year: 300 You just can’t beat that anywhere!
