Enjoy the benefits of our prime location! Leave your car in the driveway as you enjoy a short stroll, just one street over to Pine Ave., the islands 'Main Street',where you will find shopping, restaurants, the theater and galleries.Or walk just 200 yards to enjoy a day on the beach, beautiful sunsets or a nice dinner at The Sand Bar Restaurant. In the mornings, head on over to Ginny and Janes, a local favorite, and enjoy their fresh baked goods and coffee. The Historic Anna Maria City Pier is also just a short 5 minute walk down Pine Avenue. Discover the Bay side of the island and it's beautiful stretches of sandy beaches and restaurants. The island offers a free trolley service.

We were thrilled with Angelfish cottage during our recent stay - our first visit to Anna Maria Island. Beautifully remodeled, spacious and spotless, this house really made us all (including both my mother AND my teenage son) feel right at home! Owners Derek and Nikki have thought of everything visitors might need, and the location just a block from the Gulf beach was fantastic! I also really appreciated the email check-ins on arrival day to make sure we'd gotten in okay and were comfortable. Walking proximity to nearby shops, restaurants and the local community center made it so we rarely had to leave the tip of the island. (In fact, many days, we had to force ourselves to leave the cozy sunroom!) The appliances and amenities were modern and convenient (flat screen tv with cable/dvd, wifi, dishwasher), which was great for the days we stayed in. When we went out, our favorites eateries were lunch at the quirky Ginny's and Jane E's and the new Anna Maria Donuts on Pine (beware, they're dangerously delicious). We have fallen in love with Anna Maria, and our stay at Angelfish cottage made all the difference for this first time island experience. This three bedroom cottage was a wonderful place to spend our week in Anna Maria. It has been tastefully decorated to give you the feel of the island, itself, and everything was new and clean. The layout of the home made it feel very spacious, light and airy. It is in a very quiet location, yet just a very short walk to the beautiful beaches and just one street over from all the quaint shops and restaurants. Everything we needed was there and the WiFi internet was very fast and dependable. We spent a lot of time riding the bikes that were provided and grilled out several times on the grill in the back yard. There was an outside shower to wash off the sand when we returned to the house each day. The owners took the time to make sure we were having a great time and were available to ask questions if we had any. We loved an ice-cream shop that was in walking distance called Two Scoops. We went every night!!!!!!!!!!! Their sandwich's were awesome, as well as their ice cream. We also tried the Waterfront Restaurant for lunch and had a wonderful meal for Valentine's Day.
