Constructed in 2003 and birthed from a dream, this magnificent 3500 square foot, Douglas Fir custom hand crafted log home with attached and heated 600 square foot two-car garage, sits on a heavily wooded half acre lot. The "cabin" has four bedrooms, three and a half baths with loft, and four decks, two with views. Drive up to this amazing home along custom built stone retaining walls that blend with incredible rock work and stone work on the house.
The main floor includes the master suite which has it's own private balcony overlooking an aspen grove, a wrought iron gas stove, queen size log bed with bear cabin themed linens, a futon that can convert to a bed for 2, jacuzzi tub for two, and glass block enclosed shower with large walk-in closet, vanity and double sinks.
The great room is divided into two areas with a rustic wood stove, dining room with seating for eight at the main table and four on the additional table, breakfast bar for two, full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, large back deck that has a 7 person hot tub, front porch with carved bear bench, and an elegant Kokopelli themed half bath.
Basement includes wrought iron gas stove, wet bar, 42" Sony flatscreen TV with a Digital Home Theatre remote that controls the following components by radio frequency: Comcast Digital Cable, Sony DVD, Sony 5-CD player, Sony Home theater Amplifier, Bose 5 speaker surround sound home theatre system and iPod docking station. We also have a large selection of board games, a foosball table, a queen sleeper sofa, a private moose themed bedroom with a log queen size bed, 3/4 bath, and laundry facilities.
The loft provides views of the Breckenridge Peaks, has a Business Center (WiFi desktop computer, printer/scanner/copier and a photocopier machine), a library, an open loft bedroom with a queen size bed and a futon that converts to a bed for 2. It has professional carvings of an eagle and a Mountain Lion. The upper level also has an Eagle Theme bedroom with a log queen size bed with views of the Breckenridge Peaks, and a Jack and Jill full bathroom.
House is wired with a sound system that can be heard throughout the house as well as out on the back deck.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Building a log cabin in the Colorado Rockies was always a dream of mine. I moved to Colorado in 2000 and within two years my goal became a reality.
Building the cabin was a project of love. The structure was built by a log home specialist based out of British Columbia, Canada using Douglas Fir. Once the construction was completed, I realized that this is a home to be shared with others. It is my goal to provide a unique and embracing atmosphere that will give my guests memories to last a lifetime.
Most guests say that the photos "don't do it justice" and "it far exceeded our expectations". Through signing the guest book we learn what a wonderful time our guests have had, knowing that we are meeting our goal.
