We built our log home as a family project, so it holds many fun times and warm memories of our two sons and their families. The entire interior is beautiful beetle-kill pine which is the background for a large moss rock wood burning fireplace, hunting trophies, and outdoor memorabilia. Vaulted ceilings throughout and large windows allow for a feeling of spaciousness. A custom pine entertainment center holds a flat screen TV/DVD, books, etc. for your use. Warm colored upholstered couch and loveseat plus a leather rocker make the setting for easy and cozy conversation. Large windows in the living and dining area allow for beautiful views of the Ten Mile range and National forest.
The dining area is an extension of the living room with a large pine table that seats ten and is complimented with an antler chandelier. Our updated, open, and fully equipped kitchen has a build-in microwave, glass stove top, double oven and dishwasher. There are plenty of pots and pans, dishes, toaster and coffee pot. Six upholstered bar stools surround the counter top. The kitchen faces the living/dining room so everyone plus the cook is included in the activities.
On the main level is a large 'Western' bunk room which sleeps four in bunk beds with denim comforters. There are two closets and drawers for your personal belongings. A small loft within this room is a great play area with parent's permission. Many a game has been played and Legos have been popular up there. Across from the bunk room is a full bathroom with double sinks. The Master bedroom with a king-size bed and double closets is also across from the bunk room. A bathroom with shower adjoins this room.
Downstairs is the 'Rec' room with a large heated hot-tub that holds six, an entertainment center with a TV, games and a great place for kids to play. There are two bedrooms downstairs. The 'Bear' room with a king-size bed and the 'Fishing' room with a queen-size bed, both are theme decorated. A third bath with shower is available for this area. In the corner of the rec room is a small kitchenette with refrigerator, sink, microwave and coffee pot for early risers who might want a cup of coffee before others arise.
Our large wrap-around deck offers superior views of the mountains, star lit skies and a ski-lift swing. A front-wheel or 4 wheel drive is recommended and the drive-way will be plowed for your visit. There is plenty of parking and wood for the fireplace will be stacked on the deck. Our smoke-free and no pet policy allows comfort for those with allergies.
We are 10 minutes from City Market, the 'Breck Connect Gondola', and the many restaurants and shops in the charming Victorian town of Breckenridge. If you need to rent skis, boards, ski clothing, etc. we recommend CARVER'S. They offer our guests a 20% discount if you provide the coupon upon renting our home. Ask for Thad, the manager.
With the winter decorations, lights, carriage rides, ice skating, and first class skiing, Breckenridge truly is a 'Winter Wonderland' Come visit and enjoy our home!

We have a group of friends (all adults) that gather from all over the country for an annual ski trip each year. This is our first trip to Breckenridge as a group and now we know this beautiful cabin will be our destination on future trips to Breckenridge. Everything in the listing is accurate and the home owners were extremely helpful in answering questions. We would all highly recommend this property to anyone. There are lots of games, puzzles, and fun decor - ** warning ** your the inner child may come out. It certainly did for us. We stayed recently in this homely log cabin and loved it! The cabin is just what you would think a Colorado mountain home should be. The interior had exposed logs throughout, the fireplace was warm, the kitchen was well equipped, and the appliances are like new. We came to ski, but enjoyed visiting and relaxing indoors just as much. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They genuinely wanted us to feel at home, and with hosts like that, we did! We will return!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

Our family of 9 met here for Christmas. It was the perfect place for us. The house was just as it appears in the listing... there was plenty of room for all of us, the house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was stocked with basic food items and there were plenty of towels and washcloths supplied. The washer and dryer also came in handy. The owner was available and very kind and helpful. The property setting was beautiful and a short distance away from the actual town of Breckenridge. The views from the front windows were fantastic! My family spent each day skiing or snowboarding, then dinner around the table with the fireplace crackling in the corner. It was so cozy! There is a City Market grocery right in Breckenridge that was even open on Christmas Day. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to bring their family together for a wonderful vacation.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

We had such an amazing stay here. From our first entry into the property, we could tell this place was gorgeous and well-maintained as advertised. There were many things that stood out: the kids loved the loft for hanging out, the kitchen was well equipped and spacious, plenty of dining space, and comfortably slept our party of 10. The bunk room was a hit with the kids too. The owners are an absolute pleasure to work with as well!! Had a great time with the guys on our ski vacation. Having been to the cabin several times in the past, once again it didn't disappoint. Accomodations were terrific. The cabin was more than comfortable for the 6 of us. We were also very happy with the ease of access to downtown Breck, and the parking for the high speed gondola to the peaks for skiing. The hot tub was a big hit, especially after a long day on the slopes. It was a wonderful experience, and can't wait to go back next year.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

our whole family visited Breckenridge several times and we stayed @ Crew's Rest every time. We have warm memories of wonderful Christmases spent there. Our 3 children and their families stayed with us. And YES there was room for everybody under one roof !!!! Lots of skiing, sled rides,tubing down the driveway,long hikes and at night, after a comforting dinner it was time to play games,share the days experiences or simply listen to music by the roaring fire. Best Xmas vacations ever!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

About the owner: We have been home owners in Breckenridge for over 35 years and have seen many changes take place. With our two sons, we built our home and have enjoyed many years of winter and summer activities. It is a special place for our three grandson's to visit, either skiing, fishing with Grandpa or taking in the Peak 8 Fun Park. It now serves as our retirement home during the summer.
