Two miles to the east is downtown Colorado Springs with its hopping Tejon Street, great shops, good restaurants, the Climbing Wall, Kimballs Movie Theater, The Fine Art Center, Colorado College, The Pioneers Museum and the home of the United States Olympic Headquarters. A bit further to the east you may visit the United States Olympic Training Center. Twenty miles to the north is the United States Air Force Academy, the most visited site in Colorado.
Drive ten minutes to the south and youwill find the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the only mountain zoo in the world, the five-star Broadmoor Hotel and the famous Seven Falls and Cheyenne Canyon.
Drive two blocks to the south to Hightway 24 and you will be on your way west to the entrance gate of the Pikes Peak Highway in Cascade, Colorado (closed in the winter), and on into Woodland Park, Colorado, a great little mountain town and home of the soon to be new equestrian center and Pike National Forest. From there it is less than an hour to Cripple Creek where the history of gold mining in Colorado awaits you, along with many casinos, even more spectacular views, a train ride and family friendly donkeys. In between, in every direction, are miles and miles of hiking and biking trails.
Along with the terrific location in a private, quiet neighborhood in historic Old Colorado City, this bungalow offers a serene ambiance where you may relax, curl up by the fire and read something from the family collection of books relating to the history of Colorado, pile up the pillows in either bedroom and enjoy a movie from an equally terrific collection of movies or just nap to the sounds of a favorite CD.

ReviewsWrite a review
This beautiful little Taos-styled home is charming and very comfortable. The beds are wonderful, the place is very clean, and the garden is private and well designed in the tradition of the Southwest. The owners are extremely nice and very accommodating and they have endowed the property with various works of art and books. In the past, for over a decade, we have rented executive suites for extended stays in various parts of the country, and we enjoyed this home better than the other places we have rented. Parking is on the street and old downtown is only a block away with its fascinating shops and great variety of restaurants. Definitely a special place to stay which we highly recommend!
