Our 6500 square foot villa has FIVE BEDROOM SUITES in two spacious buildings: The Caribe House and Bali Wing. The gorgeous horizon pool is the centerpiece of the villa. When not lazing in the pool, why not launch our fleet of six double kayaks from our 30 foot SEASIDE PATIO and paddle two minutes to the beach? Or relax on the lounge chairs by the water's edge when not snorkeling or kayaking and watch the pelicans diving into the Caribbean Sea? At sundown, you'll be drawn to magnificent sunsets each evening before making the decision - prepare dinner on our professional gas grill under the flower-covered pergola or go out to eat at one of Virgin Gorda's many enjoyable restaurants? The Main CARIBE WING offers the GREAT ROOM with a beautifully furnished living room, dining room, gourmet kitchen, and entertainment area. There is an outdoor living and dining area as well under the verandah. In the Caribe Wing there are three colorful suites: two kings and one queen suite with two queen beds. One king suite has a kitchenette. All suites have private baths, outdoor showers, and balconies.
The BALI Wing has a king bedroom suite with kitchenette and a queen suite with two queen beds. As in the Caribe Wing, each suite has air conditioning, a ceiling fan above the bed, is individually decorated, has a private deck or patio, and a glass outdoor shower with views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea!

Year Purchased: 2000
We first discovered Virgin Gorda in 1980, rediscovered it with our three children in 1992, and we started vacationing there regularly. All were smitten with the beauty of the land and sea, and annual trips turned into 3 times a year. Every trip we dreamed of buying a piece of land and building a home. One Christmas holiday, we sent the children back home on the ferry to the airport. We were staying a few days longer on our own. Driving back to our rental, we saw a tiny sign nailed to a tree, "Lots for Sale." We immediately toured the land and bought one of the lots! Three months later, we had designed a house and started construction. Six months later, we moved in! Our kids named the house, "A DREAM COME TRUE" because as a family we had wanted this for so long. We sacrificed a lot to achieve our dream, but it was worth it! The family is expanding and still loving our home.
All of our guests tell us that we are batting 100%! Many say that it is the most beautiful vacation home they have ever stayed in, and that is very rewarding to hear because I am a very involved home owner. I make five trips a year to make sure our home is in excellent condition, like a 5 star hotel. I do all of my own reservations and our home is kept in pristine condition by two full time maids, a handy man, a gardener, and a pool man. The TODAY Show featured our villa on December 24, 2008, and I'm very proud of that!
Because our family rented villas for many years before we built our own home, I try to make sure that our home offers great VALUE in addition to luxury and beauty. That is why we never charge extra for high speed internet, our kayak fleet, maid service, or concierge service. When it became difficult to bring shampoo on plane trips, I added quality shampoo and conditioner to the villa. I send a "Guest Questionnaire" to all of my guests after their vacations, and all my feedback is positive. Guests who rent our home can count on our villa exceeding their expectations!
Why the Owner Chose Savannah Bay
I've seen most of the Caribbean islands, and none compare with Virgin Gorda, the gem of the British Virgin Islands. Islands Magazine ranks it in the Top 10 in the world, and for me, it is about the beauty. The beauty of the land, the sea, the people. Nothing can be built taller than a palm tree. Our family loves what we have discovered under the sea, the shimmering turquoise color of the ocean that changes color a thousand times a day. BVIslanders enjoy one of the highest standards of living in the Caribbean and crime is almost unheard of; their literacy rate and employment rate are 95%. No wonder we long to return whenever we depart!
A Dream Come True is built on the shore overlooking Savannah Bay Beach and Pond Bay Beach, which is one bay north of Little Dix Resort, voted the #1 Caribbean Resort in 2008. You can snorkel, swim, kayak, or walk to Savannah and Pond Bay Beaches from my villa. These pristine, world-class beaches are never crowded. We have a waterfront verandah with chaises and a thatched roof pergola where you can relax and a boat house for our kayak fleet. Another wonderful beach is Mahoe Bay, and you can walk to that down a drive way in 5 minutes. It's great for babies and children, and it also has terrific snorkeling with sea turtles amongst the coral fans. No boats can moor there because of the reef. There are about 14 gorgeous beaches on Virgin Gorda, so you can visit two a day! The National Park Beaches are about 10 minutes away and have The Baths. Another reason why we chose this location is SUNSETS! The sunsets are legendary and spectacular! Our horizon pool is a favorite spot for watching the sun slip below the horizon and light up the sky.
We chose our building lot because of the panoramic 180 degree VIEWS and the wonderful tradewind breezes. You can hear the ocean as you fall asleep each night. Every room in the villa, every deck and patio, has a full ocean view! It is heaven on earth!

GARDENS: Our gardener, Mr. Bridgewater, has planted more than 30 kinds of flowering troplcal plants that look lovely weaving their way in and out of the 200 year old cactus plants. We have plumaria that smell so beautiful! Brides use them in their wedding bouquets. We also have mangoes, papayas, lemons, grapefruits, breadfruit, avocadoes, and limes growing for guests to enjoy.
CONVENIENCE: A Dream Come True is located only 10 minutes from Spanish Town, the location of grocery stores, shops, banks, restaurants, the ferry, and the airport.
MANGO BAY RESORT: A Dream Come True is managed by Mango Bay Resort. You are welcome to use their facilities. The Guest Services Manager will act as your personal concierge and make dinner reservations for you and travel arrangements. If you charter a snorkel trip, you have the convenience of being picked up at the jetty at mango Bay Resort rather than driving into Spanish Town.
GIORGIO'S TABLE: Enjoy an elegant dinner seaside at Giorgio's Table Restaurant, which is located within Mango Bay Resort. Luncheon is also served at this landmark new building.
