Location, location, location. This house is within close to a multitude of amenities at the Lake. Located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, Northstar is 4 miles away, with Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Mount Rose within 20 minutes away to the house.
In the summertime, head to one of the best beaches on the Lake. Kings Beach is 2.5 miles away and is a state park with long white sandy beaches. Here you can rent a kayak, jet ski, and other water toys, or just relax on the shoreline with a good book. Some of the best lakeside restaurants and golf courses are here, along with shops offering local artist fares. Nightlife? yes.. Crystal Bay is 4 miles away and offers gambling, nighttime shows, and Tahoe nostalgia of the Frank Sinatra days at Cal Neva.
This chalet style home with loft is great for large families or groups of friends. It has an open floor plan with 22ft ceilings with large windows looking out to the forest. Located in a quiet pocket of homes surrounded by forest land, you'll see more people out walking than cars driving by. All the roads dead end at trail heads that the forestry service maintains which allows unlimited hiking and biking in the summertime. In the wintertime, the front yard becomes a nice sledding hill for the kids. In the summertime, the kids will love playing in the meadow, and the hiking the trails
As you walk in front door, you are greeted by a large open living area called the "Great Room". In Tahoe we think cooking is a main hobby, so houses are built with open areas that comprise of the living, kitchen and dining room. You can cook and socialize at the same time.Your family or group will enjoy the spacious living area with sectional, scattered ottomans, and a wood burning stove with brick hearth. This faces a large TV with satellite reception that allows access to all the premium TV channels and 30 stations of continuous music. The dining area has a 12 top timber trestle table with benches and is perfect for entertaining at. The kitchen, surrounded by countertops, and barstools, overlooks the dining and living area, and is large enough to accommodate a number of chefs. The kitchen has another table in it with barstools, and ample cupboard space with all the amenities you may want or need during your stay. Off the dining area is a sliding glass door that exits out to a sunny wrap-around deck. The deck has just been remodeled with expansions and wrap around seating. Its great in both winter and summer. The deck and house sits low off the street, so you have privacy with a nice yard, and a meadow behind the house. Patio furniture and barbecues make the summertime outdoor activities worth looking forward to. Off the side yard is deck with forest views and separate deck with Hot Tub. You can soak in the tub for hours, enjoying the meadow views.
Down the hall from the living area, is a full bathroom, laundry room and two bedrooms. One room has a queen bed and has a sliding glass door that exits out to a private deck with a view that looks out to a the meadow the house sits on. The other bedroom, has a pillow top King size poster bed, and meadow views.
Up the stairs are two more bedrooms, and a loft. The Master bedroom is large and has a King bed, and twin bed, TV/DVD and bathroom. The high A framed beam ceilings, and the triangle windows above the bed really makes this room special. At night you can see stars, and in the morning you can see the colors of the sky's sunrise. Off the Master is a alcove with twin bed,and another full bathroom with skylights. The loft is adjacent to this with 2 twin beds, and doubles as a game room. There is a full size foosballs table that is a hit for children, and extra room to play cards etc. There is also a private 4th bedroom here with a queen bed witch shares the high beam ceilings, and towering windows.
Each room is unique with custom made duvets, window coverings and throw pillows to give you the charm and comfort you'd expect from a mountain home. The furnishings were custom ordered to compliment the "Pine Lodge" decor. The open areas and high ceiling ,allow you to socialize with family or friends, without feeling closed in.
The location, amenities, and comfort of the home offers a great vacation home that will add to your Lake Tahoe experience.

The Unique Benefits of this House
This house has a great feel to it. I used lots of cabin accents with red and happy decor. The beamed ceilings and open floor plan add to mountain feeling, and I use the large wrap around deck for entertaining. In the summertime, I keep the slider open and its an extension of the living room.
The neighborhood is super quiet, and go walking daily on the multitude of trails. It feels like your 're away from everything here, yet you are close to tons of things to do. The Lake is just down the street and great Brockway Golf Course. I like the variety of peace during the day, and playing at night at the casino's., or dropping down into Reno for sport shopping. Truckee and Northstar Village are 10 min away and have really been built up to make for a fun time. Great restaurants and shops, along with the big ice skating rink in the winter and roller in the summer.
I enjoy relaxing in the hot tub here. It is on the side deck with meadow views. The beamed ceilings and open floor plan add to mountain feeling, and I use the large wrap around deck for entertaining. In the summertime, I keep the slider open and its an extension of the living room.

My wife and I found this is a great place to stay, it combines quietness and privacy with easy access to all you need in Kings Beach. The cabin has great living space, is very comfortable and the owner Sandy is very welcoming. Facilities for self-catering are excellent, with major food stores close by and many restaurants if preferred. Access to many hikes are within a few minutes walk and they are stellar, truly amazing. So this cabin is the right place to relax and enjoy all that Lake Tahoe has to offer. We certainly hope to return soon.

My family and friends just got back for a stay at this home and we couldn't have found a better home. The house was large enough for our group of 10 adults and 4 kids and the kids loved sledding right in the backyard! We were close to everything, and really appreciated the quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We even had a BBQ 1 night. The hot tub was private and we spent lots of down time there. We'll be back here soon.

This was our first stay at Morganhaus and it everything we hoped it would be. My friends and I go to northshore every year for a get together ski vacation and without a doubt this was one of best homes we have stayed in. The kitchen was fully equipped and included a separate prep area to enable multiply cooks to work together without bumping into each other. The dining table was huge and could seat 8 without any problems. The house is truly in a quite neighborhood providing a nice quiet atmosphere. We received 6 inches of new snow our last day and the roads were snow plowed early in the morning making it easy for us to get out and enjoy the day. I highly recommend the Sandy's home to all - regardless of whether you are planning family together or just looking for a quite place to get away from it all.

We have stayed here twice, in summer and ski season. Great location in Lake Tahoe just minutes from shopping and short drive to ski. The layout and the rooms are perfect for families and couples sharing large house. In the summer, there is GREAT mountain biking right out the back door! We will definitely go back, thanks Rick

Our family vacations in Tahoe every year. We have been coming back to this wonderful mountain home for 3 years in a row. It has everything our family could ever need. Fully equipped, just like home! Our kids love to ski at Northstar and this is the perfect setting for our vacations. We love the views right up the street of Lake Tahoe and there are so many wonderful spots to hike, bike and sled! At night the adults enjoy an evening away from the kids and there is always a new restaurant for us to explore. We could not ask for a better location! The rooms are always very clean and the place is very tidy upon moving in for the week. We highly recommend this vacation home for you and your extended family!

We went for a family reunion and the vacation rentals were perfect. The homes were very clean and neat. We would like to thank you for being accessible to answer all of our questions, we do apologize for late night call to locate a pizza shop. When do you sleep? We recommended your home to our friends and they were very pleased with their stay as well. We look forward to our next visit to your home and will refer all who ask to you and your homes

We had a wonderful stay at the Morganhaus this weekend. The chalet was located in a great neighborhood near Kings Beach and had all the amenities you could need for a great weekend in Tahoe. The hot tub was perfect for soaking sore muscles and the layout of the place gave everyone enough room to relax and enjoy the company. No noise in the hot tub after 10PM, but after skiing this wasn't a problem ;) BEAUTIFUL views of the lake when you walk up the road a very short distance. Well worth the money!

Love, Love, Love it!!!! She loves the Lake (Danville) Review submitted: February 22, 2010 Date of arrival: August 23, 2009 I have rented houses from Sandy for several years now.I believe this is year 8. Morganhaus has become the favorite. The time spent there is so relaxing. Being in the Sales arena as my profession, I need the down time to decompress and regroup. As I descend over the hill on highway 267 looking at the lake it bring a sense of joy and excitement to being back here. Morganhaus is so inviting with it's sunny deck in the morning to it's warm and welcoming hot tub in the evening. Everything is always so clean upon arrival. Stores, beaches, gambling and golf are just minutes away. There is a group of six of us who come every year with an additional relative or two who may appear. We all look forward to our stay and will be back in 2010!

Santa Barbara, Cal) Review submitted: March 15, 2010 Date of arrival: March 6, 2010 This was our first stay at Morganhaus and it everything we hoped it would be. My friends and I go to northshore every year for a get together ski vacation and without a doubt this was one of best homes we have stayed in. The 4 bedrooms plus loft area is more than adequate to handle large groups and families. The kitchen was fully equipped and included a separate prep area to enable multiply cooks to work together without bumping into each other. The dining table was huge and could seat 8 without any problems. The furnace went out on the first night (as will happen in homes) and Sandy responding immediately by having some wood delivered (for the wood burning stove) and a repairman out the next day. Luckily, each bedroom had tons of extra blankets to get us thru the night. By the time we were back from skiing - the house was toasty warm again. The house is truely in a quite neighborhood providing a nice quiet atmosphere. We received 6 inches of new snow our last day and the roads were snowplowed early in the morning making it easy for us to get out and enjoy the day. I highly recommend the Sandy's home to all - regardles of whether you are planning family together or just looking for a quite place to get away from it all.
