  • Artist's Paradise

"My wife is a writer and I am an "artist and philosopher." We are world travelers, and have been everywhere. This cottage is a paradise: peaceful seclusion situated on the edge of the jungle, with an unobstructed view of the mountains and sky. Dramatic weather is all around, but the cottage is dry and cozy, with all amenities in perfect working order. Art, furnishings and cupboard all in excellent island taste. Wildlife (and wild chickens) abound. The Dolphin Fish Market in town, and the Farmer's Markets are everything else you need to know. We have never been happier on our travels."

  • Wonderful home on ocean!

"Beautiful home, very roomy, highly recommended! You could not go wrong staying here for your next vacation. We were delighted to find this home has everything needed to make you feel like your at home, and the location is fabulously scenic, right on a river outlet that flows into the ocean. We loved sitting on the huge shaded deck while watching the ocean waves. Sitting on the sunny deck to catch some rays was also a joy. The winter ocean was intense with huge waves like we have never seen crashing on shore and the sandbar changed its shape daily. Leaving the doors open at night, we fell asleep to the crashing waves, talk about heaven!!! We were even treated to the locals surfing. We ventured across the river on to the sandbar and looked for shells and hung out. If your not into the tourist scene this is the place to be! Great hiking trails right up the road, only minutes from the Napali coast, caves, many other beaches and awesome views. Our regrets are we did not stay here for our full two weeks while we were in the Hawaii Islands, which we would have preferred. We stayed at other places around the same price, but the other places did not even compare. We will come back one day with more friends, or family, and will for sure stay here! Our stay here was the highlight of our 2 week vacation!!!!"

  • Quiet and Comfortable

"This was our second trip to Kauai, and we wanted some time on the North Shore to experience the sights and activities we had glimpsed before. This is a lovely, quiet, private cottage, even though it is right next door to the owners house. Paula made us feel very comfortable, and we appreciated the delicious granola, fruit, yoghurt, milk and coconut water. There is everything you need for the beach and picnics, and the cottage is well appointed. We liked the DVD collection for evenings. There was several days of rain on the North Shore which made things feel very tropical, damp and often quite cool. However when the sun came out...the North Shore shone! We still explored the beaches, towns and markets in the rain, and 3 different hikes on the Kalalau trail. The Na Pali Coast is beautiful and a swim at Ke'e Beach is the perfect finish to a hike. A great place to explore the North Coast, you feel like a local driving down Powerhouse Road!"

  • Wonderful Holiday Stay!

"My wife and son (1.5 yo) had a wonderful week long stay at Hale Huna! Well kept, clean house with plenty of privacy. The home is tucked up in the hill and is on a wonderfully landscaped piece of property. The pictures do not do justice. There are 2 rooms plus a den that has an additional single bed. All the amenities are listed and everything is in great shape. Plenty of snorkel gear, coolers, chairs, umbrella etc. Highly recommend this property, it's the nicest house on the street and in a great location on the island! The owners were easy to deal with and everything was excellent with this rental."

Of course, if you want to stick to the natural scenery as much as possible, picturesque Hanalei Bay is a short drive away and is th perfect place to watch surfers do what they do best. If staying in an area surrounded by scenic hiking paths, tropical fruit trees, and the salty sea breeze sounds perfect to you, Wainiha condos will exceed your expectations.
