"Our recent stay in San Marcos, Texas was with an added enjoyment of this property. From the unpacking in the beautifully decorated interior to the first afternoon of watching the deer eating the grass in the yard to the fox coming to greet us, we found our stay extremely relaxing. We recommend a stay in this quiet cottage which is minutes from downtown San Marcos and closer to the Texas State University campus. A short drive towards downtown provides a stop to see the llama and goats and the family of deer crossing the road. The owners are very pleasant and helpful with insightful information of places to visit or restaurants to dine. Whatever the length of time you stay, it will go by swiftly and leaving you wanting to stay longer."

"Perfect size, perfect location. Was in town for SWT homecoming and could easily walk to the square and many other campus hangouts. The only time we used the car was to go to the game. Thanks for the gift certificate, food and drinks were amazing. One word of caution, they offer a covered spot in front of the house to park in, that can be beyond tricky to back out on a very busy road were people are not to happy to stop and let you out. But you can park in the palmers parking lot and it is very easy to get in and out. P.S the iron gate decided to not work Saturday night but a quick trip through the courtyard and we were free. I'm sure it will be fixed for the next arrival."

"We had an amazing and very peaceful time. The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful home. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for eating and cooking. There is also a propane grill or a charcoal grill for your use. We did use the propane grill twice and it worked perfectly each time. Also, all appliances in the kitchen worked great for cooking. The master bedroom has the most comfortable king size bed. We did spend most of our time outside, utilizing all three porches. The home does have wifi, which was great for streaming music from pandora. There is a TV in the living room, but we never turned it on. The wildlife you will see: geese, ducks, peacocks, horses, chickens, woodpeckers, and chickens. We had the great pleasure to meet Terri the owner, who is the nicest person. She even brought over some fresh eggs, yummy!!! We did not want to leave. Definitely worth all 5 stars and would love to go back. Thanks again Terri."
