Sprawling Ranch located on beautiful Swan River. Great house for two families vacationing together. Host a family reunion on the back deck with beautiful views of the river. Launch your kayak or paddle board from the private dock or just sit and enjoy the wildlife in its natural habitat. Large yard great for a game of bocci or Whiffle ball. Location is convenient to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and the bike trail. South Village beach is a short paddle away or West Dennis Beach is just a short car ride away. Large outside deck with a gas grill, great for cookouts after the beach. Private outside shower, a must for your Cape Cod vacation. Washer and dryer, all bed rooms have window AC units. An outside patio with plenty of outside furniture & a gas fire place for evenings under the stars. A great house waiting for some special summer memories. All bed linens and towels will be provided for use of our guests. 7 night minimum

It was a great house with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating and fun activities for all. The kayaks and canoe lent itself to fun memories and the central location to other parts of the Cape was perfect. A well stocked kitchen was essential for our Lobster dinner and the seafood feasts we enjoyed during out stay. We would all stay there again and a repeat trip has been discussed!

Fantastic Family Vacation house

We stayed with my family of six and my brother’s family of five and it was the perfect set up! The house is divided into two sections so it’s great for multiple families, with a shared kitchen and dining area. Being right on the river was fantastic. We kayaked everyday and the kids caught crabs and shrimp off the dock. They also had cornhole which was fun. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed, the deck was beautiful and a great place to hang out. The house was super clean and homey. We loved every minute!

Great central spot and accommodation

Perfect for 2 family’s or a big family reunion. Decor of a dog in the back yard would be great to keep the Canadian geese off the back yard.

A Wonderful Home

My family and I, 11 people in all, needed a large home and this house was perfect. We had stayed there before, so knew it would fit our needs, but were pleasantly surprised by some of the upgrades, especially the deck and fire pit. It is a big, very suitable home with everything a family needs to be comfortable and enjoy the beauty of Cape Cod.

Great location! Great size! Great vacation!

Mother Nature sent a tornado our way, a little scary but all was safe and no damage to the property. What was refreshing was how the owner kept in close contact with us throughout the ordeal. The size and location of this house was perfect for what we needed!

Great family reunion

Great Cape House

We enjoyed our stay at the Cape. Plenty of room in the house. It was very clean. Nice back yard deck as well as stone patio with gas fire pit. Dock in back on the river was a great place to enjoy morning coffee and nature watch. Great location.

Beautiful Home with more than enough room for all of us.

We visited earlier this month and enjoyed our stay. Everything from the house, the location, communicating with the owner and the beautiful views of the river was everything we wanted. The house was perfect for my family and my sister’s family. The deck overlooking the river was gorgeous and a great place to enjoy dinner altogether. This house is perfect for two families to vacation together.

Annual family vacation

Our family gathers every summer fora Cape vacation. After outgrowing our previous rental, I was so happy to find this lovely home situated on Swan River. The owner was accessible and answered all my questions immediately. Upon arrival we were all so pleased with the layout, cleanliness and beautiful setting! The house had everything we could have needed- just perfect for our family!

What an absolutely beautiful place!! I brought my family here to celebrate my mother’s 80th and my two daughter’s birthdays 40 and 30! My mother has been coming to the Cape since she was 14. My sister and I went there as kids, and I brought my kids there when they were young! We couldn’t have had a more perfect place to celebrate this past week!! Hope to be back soon!

Lovely stay by the river

This was our second stay at the property and we really enjoyed our stay. The location right on the river is perfect for enjoying water sports. We utilized the provided canoe and kayaks to explore Swan Pond. The owner was very responsive when we had a minor issue with equipment for the canoe and kayaks and were overall great to work with. The layout of the home was great for our large group of seven. There are two separate living areas and ample dining space indoors and out. I recommend this property for a lovely stay on the Cape.

A Perfect Fit

The house layout was awesome. It allowed 3 separate family groups to each have their own space while also allowing for 2 large gathering areas. Outdoors, the deck and patio were perfect for our large group and the availability of kayaks and a canoe were a big hit. Youngsters learned to fish and catch rock crabs from the dock, something I'm sure they will long remember. We also appreciated the close proximity of beaches, shops and restaurants.

Great Space for Multiple Families

The house was a great space for multiple families. There were plenty of rooms, bathrooms, ACs, tables, and seats. We loved being able to all fit at one table inside and out! We also had a puzzle table set up for the whole week and still had ample table space. The kitchen was well stocked and the grill was used. Access to the water and use of paddle craft were fun. No lifejackets were provided, so I'm glad we brought our own. While we appreciated the bug-free yard and maintained landscape, we did not appreciate two landscaping companies and a pest controller coming on three separate occasions to work on the property without prior notice. After the 3rd company arrived, we contacted the property manager, but received little sympathy. In addition, the cleaning crew walked into the house an hour before check out, so we weren't quite packed up and they started anyways. The last critique would be there is a second house on the property that was not mentioned in the description. It's a small cottage that shares the driveway and water access. While the guests stayed to themselves, it was unexpected to see men outside the kitchen window when we had teenage girls walking around the house and yard in bikinis. We felt the discomfort and surprise could be avoided if this info were disclosed on the posting and on the paper with all the house info hanging in the kitchen. In our haste to leave, we forget a pillow there and the host mailed it to us in a timely manner. Overall good stay.

Excellent Time On the Cape

My family had a great time on Cape Cod. Dorothy's house more than met our needs (8 adults and 5 children) and is a good location. We recommend highly.

July 2022 Vacation:

What a wonderful property. By far the best equipped property we have rented on the Cape. The property is just as listed and the Host is great to deal with , very responsive. We had 7 adults and 6 grandchildren and had plenty of room to spread out. The location is ideal, close to many beaches and lots of activities for the kids. Two wings on the house with separate bedrooms gave each family their own space. Plenty of common areas in the middle, Large deck and yard completes the house. Would gladly stay here again.

Wonderful vacation home!! Beautiful

We had 13 people staying at this lovely and super clean home. The configuration of the home lends itself to having two large families staying here since the bedrooms are on opposite wings. The home has two family rooms each equipped with very nice furniture and large TVs. The bedrooms are configured so that adults don’t have to sleep in bunk rooms but have actual Queen or King beds. There is one bedroom with its own en suite. There’s a wonderful large deck looking right out on the Swan river with it own very nice dock. The home is well equipped with paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and bikes. Also, the kitchen is large and extremely well equipped with newer appliances and a newer Gas range - all Whirlpool. A new Webber grill is off the deck. We absolutely loved staying here and the owners are the very best! They keep the place immaculate!! We highly recommend this wonderful home!! We will certainly be back!!! Love, love, love it!!!

Great vacation house!

We loved the layout of the house, which is divided into three sections, so families could be somewhat separate, as far as making it possible to go to bed and wake up at different times without disturbing everyone. The location on the river with all the paddleboards, kayaks, beach chairs, etc. in the shed was perfect!

Great Location - 15 min from everything

Great home, large and roomy with plenty of everything you may need. Great fishing off dock and kayaking, the firepit was a wonderful extra. Layout of home was great, kitchen was fully stocked. I can sum it up in three words... Family, Fun, and Love.

Great stay

We had a great stay at this house. Enjoyed the access to the Kayaks and Canoe. Used them everyday to row down to the beach. Saved on parking and easy access.

Large house, great location

We stayed with one other family (8 of us total, was supposed to be 13 but the third family couldn't come due to the pandemic). The house was large, clean, decorated nicely with a lot of beachy themed rooms. Dorothy was responsive and easy to communicate with. We spent a lot of time using the canoe, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. Great place to stay!!

We always have loved Cape Cod. A very special place to enjoy the beach and family company. Many wonderful memories on the River which we would love to share with you. We haven't rented for a few years even though we had many regulars come year after year. Two of our children have relocated to Cape Cod and purchased their own homes therefore making it unecessary to have this big house to ourselves.
