Our cottage is sure to give you the up north getaway you are looking for! Whether you are the adventurous type that wants to waterski, or the fisherman looking for great Bass or Walleye fishing, or you just want to relax on your 100' of private sandy beach, we are certain our cottage will fulfill your vacation desires. My husband and I bought this cottage in October and remodeled it in December 2016. We have new stainless steel appliances, flooring, furniture, beds, bedding, and towels. (For this reason, we don't allow pets at all or smoking of any kind at our property). Our home is situated at the end of a private cul de sac, only 15 feet from the beautiful sandy beach and water's edge. Our neighborhood offers a private park just at the end of our quiet street where you can have a family game of baseball, volleyball, disc golf, and let the little ones swing and play on the play structure. The fun you can have here is limitless! We have a paddleboat, canoe, kayak, paddle board, private dock, corn hole, croquet, a grill for your catch of the day, and a fire pit for s'mores and sitting around after a long day of swimming or waterskiing. The location couldn't be better for your up north getaway! We are less than 5 minutes from the famous Boone's Long Lake Inn, and about 10 minutes from the "Best Ice Cream Parlor" in America....MOOMERS! We are only about 15 minutes from downtown Traverse City. Close to many wineries, restaurants, Interlochen Arts Academy, and about 30 minutes from the breathtaking Sand Dunes. We are so excited for your next family vacation to Long Lake Cottage; sure to be filled with great memories.

About Jason and Suzy
Jason and I have five children. Family vacations are extremely important to us. We bought this unique property in the fall of 2016 and realized the importance of sharing it with other families to create many lasting memories. Life is so busy and so fast, we know the value in taking time out to spend it with the ones you love.
Jason and Suzy purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Jason and Suzy chose Traverse City
First and foremost, Long Lake is our favorite lake in Northern Michigan. The fishing and swimming are awesome. It is very clean and close to downtown Traverse City. It has a few great islands to hike and explore the wildlife. You can even order a pizza from the Long Lake Grocery and have Nick deliver it to you on his wave runner! Aside from that, this property has one of the nicest beaches on the lake. It is so serene in the cove and just a perfect getaway spot.

Cute & Cozy
Suzy and Jason, the owners, were simply awesome. They were attentive and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Unlike a great deal of rentals, sheets and towels were provided. In addition, they left all ingredients needed to make s'mores. The cottage was so cute, clean and cozy. You walked in and a sense of relaxation and peace washed over you. It was a wonderful cottage inside and out! We had a wonderful time and several of the ladies said that they would like to come back with their families. I would highly recommend this cottage.
Cheryl, you and your group of friends are welcome ANYTIME! We would love to host you again. What a pleasant group of women! It would be fun to get to know all of the rest of your families. Thanks so much for coming and staying at our cottage. Suzy and Jason
The cottage was very nice and well maintained. Nicely decorated inside and out.
My husband, daughter, 2 grandchildren and myself all loved the cottage. It was clean and well maintained. We swam in the lake, rode bikes, visited the park down the road, fished off the dock and that's not all. A kayak, paddleboard, paddleboat, and a rowboat was provided and we took advantage of it all. Jason and Suzy also had beach toys and life jackets for our use. My grandchildren played for hours with the beach toys. Ingredients to make s'mores were on the dining room table and yes we did that too over the fire pit on the beach. Jason and Suzy were very accommodating and answered any questions we had. FYI... The weather did get hot (90's) the last day we were there so we turned on the air conditioner which cooled everywhere in the cottage (very nicely) but the 2 bedrooms. The fan provided though helped a lot to conquer the heat. Overall experience is we had a fantastic time and would go back.
Great place for a family vacation!
The cabin was cute and cozy and had everything we’d need. We loved the lake and had a great family vacation.
Thank you Sarah! Your family was great to have. Please come again! Jason, Suzy and kids
Great location, well kept, right on a small beach.
House was well kept. Right on a beach with fire pit and plenty of space. Only negative was water pressure was a little lacking. On good well water, but consider bringing some drinking water if you are not used to well.
Beautiful and Accommodating
We had a wonderful long weekend and were so thrilled we found this cottage, which is right on the water. The owners were so nice and thought of several touches to make our stay feel like home. We wished we had more time there!
Exactly what we were looking for!
Our stay on Long Lake was fabulous! The owners were incredible hosts and welcomed us from the moment we pulled up. They were available to help with any question or concern that we had and even surprised us with some special treats.
The cottage is perfect. Cozy, comfortable, clean, quiet, and right on the water. Exactly what we were looking for! The lake is clean and clear and not crowded, even during the first week of August. We loved swimming, exploring the islands in the lake, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding, and it was great for our small kids.
It's only a short drive to Traverse City for restaurants and shopping plus we had a great half day at Sleeping Bear Dunes. Definitely worth the short drive!
Overall, it was an amazing week, and we hope to return!
Oh thank you Sarah and Joe! We really enjoyed having you and your family come and stay at the cottage! So happy it was everything you all were looking for! We hope you will come back and see us again and catch more fish next time. Thanks again,
Suzy and Jason
