Fabulous family house on lovely Bass lake
Our family enjoyed a long holiday weekend here. The lake was perfect and the house had all we needed to keep the kids occupied and happy. We took full advantage of the kayaks, shallow lake entrance and hot tub. When a last minute change threatened our trip, the property management was quick to offer solutions and coordinate our needs. We wholeheartedly recommend!
Very relaxing and beautiful place. We had a blast. Very close to town as well so we got to go to a local spa and do a candle making class. Such a beautiful area.
We stayed her with our daught, SIL, and two toddler grandkids. There was plenty of room to soread out, snd the 3.5 yr old enjoyed the arcade games. We used the kayaks and peddle boat several tumes, it's such a beautiful lake to oaddle around! The kids enjoyed playing in the water, it stays shallow so far out and is really perfect for little ones. There is a gate there, but we also brought one of our own, which we used to block the stairs off. The dock is a little rickety, and had some nails lofted up a bit in spots, wo watch tour step on the dock. All in all we had a great visit, and would stay here again.
Beautiful location and home. Host was excellent.
My only recommendation would be to have a couch upstairs as this was our gathering spot at night.
But otherwise great experience! Thank-you
I booked this property for my family as we were in the area for my wife's celebration of life memorial service. The house worked out beautifully for us, the only drawbacks that I noticed was the stairs going up and down for the living spaces if anyone were disabled and the vehicle parking limitation. Neither were an issue for us, but something to consider before booking. Overall a very nice property with numerous activities to enjoy. Would book again.
Ejector pump was too loud. Woke guests up
Sliding doors upstairs don’t lock. Not good
It was advertised as having 2 beds in one of the bedrooms and that was incorrect causing a guest to sleep on the bad sleeper sofa.
House was nice but one of the poorest VRBO’s I’ve ever rented. The kitchen did not contain the basic necessities for a family of 6 staying the required 7 nights. Because we were traveling with young children we had all our meals at home. The kitchen had very few tools to prepare meals. No serving utensils, no spatulas or wooden spoons, no tongs and very few pans and no measuring spoons. Beds were very uncomfortable. House sleeps 8 but only had living room seating for 5. Outside doors hard to open and close - downstairs sliding door almost impossible to lock. Dock is falling apart. Air conditioning very noisy when it starts up. For the price paid property was a disappointment.

Hi Adele, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- We believed the kitchen was well-stocked, but we’ve now added additional pans, mixing bowls, serving utensils, and measuring cups/spoons to better accommodate families- The beds are medium firmness memory foam with cooling technology, chosen to suit a wide range of preferences. We’re sorry to hear they weren’t to your liking- While the living room can seat 5-6 people, the dining and patio areas offer additional seating for 8. The living room space is limited, but we’ve also included a cozy rug where the kiddos can cuddle up as well onmovie night- One section of the dock had fallen down, but it has now been securely bolted back into place and is fully functional- The sliding doors are only 1 year old and in great shape, but required some adjustments, which are being completed this week- The A/C is also new (1 year old) and functioning properly, and sounds like any standard air conditioner. We apologize if this took you off guardWe appreciate your feedback so we can continue to improve and help this homeowner provide guests with the 5-star service they are known for. We hope to host you again soon!
