Wonderful hosts, great location
David and Lyn are welcoming hosts, and the location is great - short walk using the greenbelt walkways to both Shipwreck beach (and the Grand Hyatt) and to Poipu and Brennecke beaches. Easy driving access to Koloa and to the newer shopping and dining locations in Poipu.
The suite is essentially a single room with a bathroom (dual sinks, separate shower/bath/toilet). Food preparation facilities are limited (small fridge, toaster oven and microwave), and unfortunately any dishwashing must be done in a bathroom sink. The room is clean and comfortable with a ceiling fan and large sliding doors for ventilation, but it can get warm if the breeze dies down.
Super friendly hosts!
My boyfriend and I stayed for just a couple of nights in Kauai, but we were greeted by David and his wife, Lyn, who were great hosts! Any questions we had, they were happy to answer, and had recommendations for local activities, etc. We didn’t get the chance to use the pool, but it looked nice, and the tennis courts as well. Super close (walking distance) to the beach/ shops, etc. One downfall was that the entrance to the room faced what is now a house being constructed next door. There is a fence, but if you want a room with a view, this would not be it. We didn’t spend much time in the room, since we had little time to explore, and it was perfect for what we needed!
Just as described in a great location!
We loved staying here! David and Lyn were the best hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect - the Hyatt and beaches are almost in the backyard - within walking distance to restaurants. We can't wait to come back. Thanks again, David and Lyn!
Stephen and Nancy were excellent guests. We of course will be only too delighted to again be their hosts.
Sincerely recommended to any prospective Hosts.
Good location. David and Lynn very welcoming
Good location. David and Lynn very welcoming
Youssef was only with us for one night - but he was an excellent guest and is welcome back anytime.
What a beautiful and quiet place to stay...
David and Lyn are wonderful hosts. I traveled alone, so it was nice to stay in a home versus the resorts. Lyn even brought me cough drops and ibuprofen when I was feeling a little under the weather....what a great time in Kauai I had...
La Toya was a delightful guest and a pleasure to host. We sincerely hope she finds the time to return to our Island sometime.
Wonderful hosts!
David and Lynn are very thoughtful, caring hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The room is spacious, beds are comfortable, and the neighborhood is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. We visited Waimea, the Kauai Coffee Plantation, watched the monk seals as sun set by Brennecke's Beach, took in the Farmers' Market at Kukuiula Shopping Center, the extremely interesting and well organized Kauai Museum in Lihue and visited Allerton and McBryde Gardens. Easy to get to all these, and more, from their home.
Thank you for your comments. We are so delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. We hope you return before too long.
