Charming Waterfront Cabin On The Oconaluftee River in Cherokee NC!

This is the perfect little cabin if you're looking for a romantic getaway. Our 1 bedroom/1 bathroom cabin is beautifully decorated and designed for relaxation. The front porch has a view of of the Oconaluftee River.
Sit on the porch and enjoy your morning coffee while you watch the Canadian Geese and Otters play around in the water. Just maybe you will get lucky and see the elk that walk the driveway. Bring your Kayak or Canoe for more enjoyment of the river. Steps are located near the cabin to access the river. . Wi-fi is available along with a Roku device for online streaming. Netflix is available. No local cable TV.
Plans to ride the train at Smoky Mountain Railroad? SMR is about 10-15 minutes from this cabin.
Cherokee Harrah's Casino is 10 minutes from the cabin. ( Depending on traffic)
We also have a larger house on the property. Property VRBO ID is 860635- This property is great for a large family who needs extra space. Both of these locations are about 200-250 yards apart. So bring your family for special occasions. No pets allowed due to the owner and guests having pet allergies!
To access the river, steps are located at cabin 73.

This was an amazing trip! The cabin we stayed at was so enjoyable to be on the river and we had a great time. Explored the area and got to see some very wonderful natural aspects. Would definitely do it again.

The cabin was super cute and right on the river. Everything was clean and comfortable. Day checked in with us often, to make sure we were doing well. The only downsides was there is no couch in the cabin and the driveway is super steep. We would definitely stay here again.

Yes the river was very peaceful and beautiful. No bugs bothering us. The home is comfy and cozy and we found it to be a new get away. So thankful I spotted it on VRBO.

Although the directions were a little confusing, the host reached out to us before it was an issue and was very helpful. The only thing that would have made the stay better would be an easier way to walk down to the dock. Overall, even with the confusing directions and difficulty getting down to the dock I would recommend it to others and I would stay there again.

The studio is cute and overall we were pleased with the overall amenities. However, there is no stove and the counter top burner did not heat well. The AC unit is loud and the bed mattrass not very firm .The walkway to the river also unstable especially after a rain. Still we were very pleased with our overall experience and the studio. The studio was clean and well organized with some personal touches. So we gave 4.5 star out of 5.

Great location close to anything you could want or need. I highly recommend this place. Secluded but within mins of town. The water was crystal clear. The place itself spotless and perfect for a couple getting away. If you’re going to Cherokee don’t pass up on this place!
