This modern ocean view 2-bed / 2-bath (920 square feet) condo is on a tree-lined street in one of Tacoma's best neighborhoods (North Slope). It is on the middle floor (no stairs) of a quiet, safe, 11 unit building. The property is next door to The William Ross Rust Mansion, one of the largest mansions in Tacoma. This historic neighborhood is filled with stately 100-year-old houses, and views of Commencement Bay.
The condo is minutes to downtown, Old Town, the Ruston Way waterfront, the hip 6 Ave. Commercial district, UPS, UW, the hospital and Point Defiance Park, Zoo, Aquarium, and is a few blocks south of the prestigious private Annie Write School.
The condo is substantially remodeled with a new fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, garburator, Keurig coffee maker with gourmet coffee, a drip coffee maker); two new bathrooms, one with a walk in bath / shower and one with a shower. The unit has a balcony overlooking tree lined Yakima Ave. and a good view of the bay (ocean).
There is a new 40” smart TV with cable, Wi-Fi, High Speed Internet, and en-suite laundry.
The condo is a dedicated short term furnished executive rental.
The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a comfortable mattress, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a comfortable mattress, and has a hidden washer dryer.
The living room has a sofa and chair, and a sliding glass door to the balcony.
The dining room has a table and chairs for 4, and there are an extra 2 chairs (total 6 chairs).
The front door access is from the outside (the building has no interior hallways or elevator). Free onsite parking is available in front and behind the unit. I recommend you use the rear parking for this unit, as no stairs are required for access from the rear parking.
There is plenty of closet storage. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap), a hair dryer, iron, ironing board and coffee are provided.

The bus stop is in front of the building on Yakima Ave.
Within two minutes by car (or a 15 walk) you are at the best Tacoma has to offer: restaurants, coffee shops, stores, grocery store, the Ruston Way waterfront walking path, the Tacoma Little Theater, downtown, the convention center, hospital, and the Movie Theaters.
Slightly further and you are the Museums of Glass, the Tacoma Art Museum, the Washington State History Museum, the universities (UPS & UW), the Rialto and Pantages Theaters, and Point Defiance Park, Zoo and Aquarium.
Seattle is 40 minuets north on 1-5. Portland is 2.5 hours south. Mt Rainier National Park is 2 hours away. Olympia National Park is 2.5 hour drive.

Great place to stay at and venture out to Washington.
Updated property with a nice view of the Sound. Sleeps up to six with two bedrooms and two baths. One bathroom has walk-in tub/shower. Very useful for anyone with an issue getting in or out of a tub. Enjoyed the area and we could jump on highways quickly. The neighborhood has beautiful older homes that are stunning. This was our 3rd VRBO and probably the best. If you like Starbucks coffee you can have it in the morning. They provide you K-cups.

This was a wonderful stay! The condo has a cozy and comfortable layout with a beautiful view of the water. The fireplace at Christmastime was a wonderful bonus. The condo is clean and the owner was very thoughtful with all supplies provided. Location was excellent. Close to shops and neighborhoods and parking always available. The owner was extremely responsive as I got ready for the visit and he patiently addressed my questions sent on behalf of me and my mom. My mom can't wait to stay here again soon. A wonderful experience all told. What a find!
WE STAYED FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS AND FOUND THE CONDO VERY COMFORTABLE. WE COOKED AND ALSO WENT OUT FOR SOME FUN DINNERS AND PLACES THE OWNER SUGGESTED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT, THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS WONDERFUL, GREAT RESTAURANTS WONDERFUL GROCERY STORE CLOSE BY.

NOTE RE CLEANING COSTS: The $70 I charge for cleaning is what it costs me to pay a cleaner for 2 hours. 90% of guest’s checkout cleaning is covered in the 2 hour fee. But occasionally a guest is abnormally messy. Consequently, we have instituted a policy where we will deduct from your $200 deposit any additional cleaning required, at the rate of $35 per hour, to return the condo to its pre-rented condition.
