About the property

This modern ocean view 2-bed / 2-bath (920 square feet) condo is on a tree-lined street in one of Tacoma's best neighborhoods (North Slope). It has a Jacuzzi bathtub and is on the top floor of a quiet, safe, 11 unit building. The property is next door to The William Ross Rust Mansion, one of the largest mansions in Tacoma. This historic neighborhood is filled with stately 100-year-old houses, and views of Commencement Bay. Walk to grocery, restaurants, cafes, movies.

The condo is minutes to downtown, Old Town, the Ruston Way waterfront, the hip 6 Ave. Commercial district, UPS, UW, the hospital and Point Defiance Park, Zoo, Aquarium, and is a few blocks south of the prestigious private Annie Write School.

The condo is substantially remodeled with a new fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, garburator, Keurig coffee maker with gourmet coffee, a drip coffee maker); two new bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi bathtub/shower and one with a shower. The unit has a balcony overlooking tree lined Yakima Ave. and a good view of the bay (ocean).

You will be staying in the entire 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo. The condo building is built on a slope. There is one set of stairs to access the front door from the parking lot. There are no stairs in the condo.

There is a new smart TV with cable, WiFi, High Speed Internet, and en-suite laundry.

This condo is a dedicated short term furnished executive rental.

The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a comfortable mattress, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.

The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a comfortable mattress, and has a hidden washer dryer.

The living room has a sofa and chair, and a sliding glass door to the balcony.

The dining room has a table and chairs for 4.

The front door access is from the outside (the building has no interior hallways or elevator). Free onsite parking is available in front and behind the unit. I recommend you use the rear parking for this unit, as no stairs are required for access from the rear parking.

There is plenty of closet storage. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap), a hair dryer, iron, ironing board and coffee are provided.

The bus stop is in front of building on Yakima Ave.

Within two minutes by car (or a 15 walk) you are at the best Tacoma has to offer: restaurants, coffee shops, stores, grocery store, the Ruston Way waterfront walking path, the Tacoma Little Theater, downtown, the convention center, hospital, and the Movie Theaters.

Slightly further and you are the Museums of Glass, the Tacoma Art Museum, the Washington State History Museum, the universities (UPS & UW), the Rialto and Pantages Theaters, and Point Defiance Park, Zoo and Aquarium.

Seattle is 40 minuets north on 1-5. Portland is 2.5 hours south. Mt Rainier National Park is 2 hours away. Olympia National Park is 2.5 hour drive.

Quiet neighborhood. Close to good restaurants.

The condo was very clean. Beds were comfortable. It was very quiet. The view from the balcony was wonderful. Had all the amenities we needed. The owner was helpful and very nice. Be careful driving on the cobblestone street. Highly recommend this condominium.

Comfortable, quiet condo in a very nice neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay in Ron's condo. It is located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood that is walking distance (10-15 min) from groceries, restaurants, and coffee. The condo is ideally located; easy driving throughout the city to tourist spots, 6th Ave (great restaurants), and the main interstates. The condo has plenty of room to feel comfortable; one potential downside is the bathroom in the master bedroom is small but is a full bathroom. This comment was made numerous times and it cannot be stressed enough....the cobblestone street next to the entrance of the parking area is ROUGH. You HAVE to go slow, I mean around 5mph. This is a historical area of town and with its charms it does have a "bad" side. We would definitely rent this condo again!

Nice condo with a great view.

Ron was very helpful and made check in and check out very easy. The house was stocked with all of my needs in a very quiet condo building. The location is great and walking distance to bars, restaurants etc. I would definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area.

A pleasant stay

We enjoyed staying here. The condo is nice and comfy. We loved reading and looking at the bay view on the deck. The location is great - beautiful, quiet and safe neighborhood, easy to get around, close to stores and restaurants. The owner Ron has been very responsive and helpful.

NOTE RE CLEANING COSTS:
The $70 I charge for cleaning is what it costs me to pay a cleaner for 2 hours. 90% of guest’s checkout cleaning is covered in the 2 hour fee. But occasionally a guest is abnormally messy. Consequently, we have instituted a policy where we will deduct from your $200 deposit any additional cleaning required, at the rate of $35 per hour, to return the condo to its pre-rented condition.

This is a quiet condo building with mostly adult and senior condo owners. This condo is good for couples, families, friends traveling together. Parties, partying, loud music, noise will not be tolerated. This is a no smoking unit.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
