* Bedroom three (full bed with a slider to the deck & to spa) has TV and full bath.
*Private Loft with full-size bed.
* Private Loft has two twin beds.
* Full kitchen with everything you need for gourmet cooking serving 10+ people.
* Living room has 61-inch HDTV-DVD/CD player, sitting area extra couch, foosball
* Laundry room has washer and dryer.
* Outside eating area-front and back - hot tub, gas & charcoal barbecues
* Backyard has walking area in nature (forrest land, babbling brook, large area for outdoor games, fire pit *(in designated area-not in forest Land). We are a very short distance to Heavenly Ski Resort, and down the street from awesome mt bike trail. Your Backyard is a forest playground.
This is now a shared property-meaning homeowner is on property-your privacy is respected.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Please make sure parking passes are returned to hook in garage. Fine of $100 will incur as they are difficult to replace.
Pick up pet poo, any bottles, cans, litter, anything not of nature, and do not throw cigarettes in the forest.
Heat down to 60, spa on eco, move back any furniture moved, covers put on outdoor furniture, fireplace & upstairs heat turned off, inform us is propane empty. Start dishwasher general pickup Thanks
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Parking policy 2-car garage other vehicles park on opposite side of street. 4 car max for vehicles.
SLT now only allows shared rentals. Erik or Wendy will be on property for any of your needs Your privacy is respected.

Nice place in a great location

Our family enjoyed our stay. The owners were easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The house itself is large, comfortable, and peacefully situated in the woods. Very close to the CA Lodge at Heavenly and near some great hiking. Also only a quick trip into town if needed. Overally really enjoyed our stay.

This property has the perfect outdoor space. We enjoyed the backyard with hot tub and fire pit. Lots of furniture to accommodate everyone. Location close to everything. Even provided beach chairs and towels. Very accommodating.

Snow wonderland

Very spacious location with wonderful hosts that go out their way to make you comfortable. The ‘Tall Tree lodge’ makes very good use of space and does provide ample bedroom space for families. It does require a fair amount of steps to get up to the house, so consider that if there are folks with ADA needs but otherwise very comfortable and warmly inviting once there!

Relaxing Paradise

Fun place to stay!! Lots of little areas to spread out and explore. Close to all of South Lake. Owners were amazing and super responsive. Our kids thought it was the coolest house ever. One thing to note, there is a TON of stairs up to the house and inside. It would not be good for a new walker, older person or anyone with an injury.

Great place, great location!

Property is even better in person! Listing was accurate and it is in a great location! We really really enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table, using the hot tub, and having a nice fire one night. House has everything you need to fly in for the weekend and have a great time. They even welcomed us with some frozen pizzas and beer! The property is very very quiet but only minutes away from plenty of fun activities. Thank again, I would recommend Tall Tree Lodge to anyone looking for a wonderful place to share with a large group of friends or family!!

Perfect Location!

This great home has everything you need and more. The owners make sure that you feel like a friend coming to visit their property and are available for any concerns. The home backs up to National Forest property and you feel like you are on the edge of town although you are right in the heart of it. The property is very well maintained and the owners have made some impressive updates, i.e. heated steps up to the property. We look forward to staying here again.

The cabin is large and well laid out for groups of families with kids given the 2 large, private master bedrooms and the smaller kids rooms w multiple beds. Given the huge amount of snow this year, it was bit harder to get to the Heavenly California lifts than expected, but we still walked to/from and it was easy to make a car drop off as well. Owners were easy to communicate with and have equipped the cabin with plenty of extras to make your stay comfy. If you’re looking for sleek, new & state of the art- look for a different place; but comfortable, close & secluded… then this is your place.

Can't wait to come back

This was was absolutely perfect for our long weekend getaway. We came up with 6 teenage boys for a birthday celebration and the house fit us perfectly. All of the boys took the upstairs bedrooms while my husband and I stayed downstairs. The huge open downstairs was great for hanging out. There were so many outdoor seating areas as well. The hot tub and firepit was great after a long day. There were definitely a lot of steps to get to the house, but this wasn't a big deal for us. The host was very easy to communicate with and showed us around the house when we arrived. This house is old and has been lived in well so don't expect it to be squeaky clean.

Why they chose this property

We chose this cabin, and named it "Tall Tree Lodge" because of its awesome location and the majestic trees that surround us. Lay in your hammock and gaze up at all their glory. That is what we first fell in love with, and you will too. You are close to everything, yet away from it all. The cabin is just the icing on the cake, perfect for our family of four, and great when we want to have lots of friends up. Space enough for all. We hope you will enjoy it here as much as we do. We pride ourselves in making our home yours, and our goal is a stress free vacation that you will want to return again and again.

What makes this property unique

During the winter, the back is your private winter wonderland, complete with sled hill. Enjoy sitting in your hot tub watching the snowflakes gracefully dance down. Summer time, hike up the hill behind the cabin, play a game of horse shoes, bocci ball or mountain croquet. Sit and enjoy the stillness, nobody to disturb your peace. Hike up the hill to the "beach" It is a wide open space with beach like sand, and beautiful. Kids can frolic around on the rocks. Feel like taking a dip,or enjoying the beach, the water is a close distance down Ski Run. Or, take a bike and ride on the bike trail to the lake, less then a mile away!
