Only a short 1.5 blocks away from Alki Beach, one of the most popular destinations in Seattle. Alki Beach offers a bit of everything for everyone.

Our Location

Alki Beach offers miles of walkable and bikeable paths along the beautiful coast of Puget Sound where you'll find breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains and downtown Seattle. You'll find both rocky and sandy beaches perfect for looking for sea glass, sunbathing and watching the pink sunsets around a campfire.

The house is just a few minutes walk to Alki's most popular restaurants, coffee shops, and the seasonal bike and kayak rentals. Stop by Pegasus Pizza and Pasta for a Tom's Special at West Seattle's number one pizza restaurant or enjoy a bowl of Seattle's favorite clam chowder at Duke's Chowder House. You'll also find burgers, sushi, tex-mex, pho, sandwiches, salads, ice cream, and of course fish and chips.

Walk around the corner and in five minutes you have access to a large grassy field, tennis courts, and two playgrounds, Alki and Whale Tail Park. Behind the play field and Alki Community Center you'll find the entrance to Schmitz Park where you can take an easy, quiet 1.7 mile hike through West Seattle's 53 acre forest.

A couple of blocks away hop on the Water Taxi Bus for a two mile ride along Alki Avenue to the passenger only Water Taxi Ferry that will put you at the pier in Downtown Seattle in under 15 minutes. You'll have access to the Seattle Waterfront, the Seahawks, Sounder and Mariner's stadiums, and Sounder Seattle Art Museum and the famous Pike Place Market. Near the boat dock back in West Seattle you'll find two of the city's favorite restaurants, Marination, and the upscale Salty's Seafood.

Bus lines to Sea-Tac airport, Downtown Seattle and the Alaska Street Junction are about two blocks away.

Our Townhouse

We have a three story home built in 2006 with a gated courtyard in front and garage access via the alley in the back.

The ground level: a charming courtyard with four chairs and an umbrella, the entrance, a small bedroom with a comfortable sofa bed, closet and a slider door to the courtyard, and garage for one car.

The second floor: half bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, dining area for six, and living room that overlooks the courtyard.

The third floor: master bedroom with queen size bed and large closets, second bedroom with two twin beds and roomy closet, one large full bathroom, and a laundry closet.

About Maggie Downer

Our family roots in West Seattle go back five generations, and although we are now residing overseas we still think this is one of the most special places to live. We bought this house for us to return home to in the summers so our children too will have a connection to this area. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.

Having grown up a few blocks from this home, I couldn't wait to return to this neighborhood. Living here gives one access to the great outdoors while at the same time providing everything a city can offer; a diverse culture, great restaurants, shopping and plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.

What makes this townhome unique

I have spent countless hours at Alki and it's beauty never ceases to amaze me. We love waking up to the fresh sea smells and popping out for an early morning walk. We are in the center of the city and yet steps away from a park with hundred year old trees. And in the evenings when we are usually home with the doors and windows open the smells of the bonfires drifting by never gets old.

Perfect!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming townhouse. It was clean and had everything we needed to feel right at home. I enjoyed mornings with coffee and a book by the fireplace, walking less than two blocks for a stroll on Alki beach, and frequenting the wonderful shops, coffee houses, and restaurants. We saw all the sites in Seattle and looked forward each night to coming "home" to our Alki Beach house. We could not have been happier! I would highly recommend this home and hope to visit again soon.

Great location!

This location is walking distance to fabulous views of the Puget Sound, lots of restaurants and coffee shops. It was great having the garage parking as the street parking was often full. The condo is very clean with has a well-equipped kitchen (although we did not use it as we enjoyed trying the numerous restaurant choices).

Great and convenient place to stay

We had quite a nice time at this townhome in Alki Beach. It was great to be able to sit by the fire with the family and just hang out after a day in Seattle. We come up to Seattle twice a year and never experienced Alki Beach. The very best views of Seattle skyline are from the beach area, just a block away. Driving access to this townhome to and from Seattle was easy. A smoke alarm battery needed to be changed upon arrival and Dale, the property manager, was very quick to come out and get that fixed. He was helpful and available throughout our stay, even though it was Christmas weekend. The road in front of the house is narrow with parking on two sides, leaving only one lane to travel. We thought this would be a problem but it really wasn't. We could park close to the townhome, which was convenient. There is a garage at the back of the townhome but access was too limited for our large mini van. A small car or sedan would have no problem getting in to the garage.

Clean and Roomy with a Great Location

This is a great place to stay. You are within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, bars and shops. The drive into downtown is about 10-15 minutes. The beach house itself is nice and clean and had plenty of room for us. There's also a one car garage that we were able to fit our small SUV inside. It's also located in a cool neighborhood and, in my opinion, a great location for any kind of Seattle visit. I would not hesitate to recommend this beach house to any one and I would certainly stay here again.
