Esta encantadora cabaña está a cuatro casas de Oakland Beach en una calle lateral tranquila que termina en el sendero para caminar / andar en bicicleta. Justo después del carril bici está Oakland Beach. Hay vistas de la bahía de Narragansett desde el sur y el oeste. La casa ha sido completamente renovada con hermosos detalles.
Primer piso --- La cabaña tiene un porche encantador donde puedes rockear y saludar a los vecinos y algunas noches escuchar la música en vivo de Top O'the Bay. Al pasar por la puerta principal, te recibe una cómoda sala de estar. Hay una gran televisión en esta habitación y el sofá se abre a una cama queen size con un colchón Tempurpedic, ¡en realidad es muy cómodo! El baño completo tiene una gran ducha a ras de suelo. La cocina cuenta con granito negro nuevo con gabinetes blancos que lo hacen amplio y luminoso. Hay una segunda sala de estar frente a la barra de desayuno para socializar y una mesa de comedor con capacidad para 6. También hay una lavadora y secadora estándar en esta área.
Patio trasero: las puertas corredizas de vidrio dan a una vista occidental del agua y a una hermosa terraza grande con muchos asientos para ver la puesta de sol. Hay una parrilla para su conveniencia y un agradable patio cercado con césped. Una ducha al aire libre se encuentra en el lado norte para que pueda enjuagar la arena.
Arriba: la cabaña tiene dos dormitorios y un baño completo con bañera de hidromasaje. El maestro tiene una cama King-size con una terraza que da al oeste. La otra habitación tiene dos camas individuales que se pueden mover juntas para hacer una cama King también. Hay mucho espacio de almacenamiento.
Este es un lugar encantador para relajarse, vacacionar y disfrutar de todo lo que Oakland Beach tiene para ofrecer: nadar, caminar por el agua, pescar y comer excelentes mariscos.
Durante el verano, la cabaña se alquila semanalmente (se recomiendan alquileres más largos) y durante el otoño, invierno y primavera se alquila solo a largo plazo.

The host is attentive and communicative.! We have two dogs and this place, just steps from the beach worked out well for us. We walked the beach everyday and it’s beautiful. Iggy’s the famous RI restaurant is very close by for takeout or dine in !

Anne was a great and responsive host during the time at her lovely beach house.The house is very large with plenty of room to eat, relax, sleep and enjoy the patios right near the beach.We didn’t have a car for the month, but the bus got us everywhere with close grocery, restaurants, pharmacy and downtown Providence.The one critique is the house is a little run down. While most everything works, several repairs were needed and the furniture (besides a new couch) is quite old. However, we would still recommend this house to any guests looking to enjoy Warwick, Providence and even Newport.

July on the beach

Location location location!! I throughly enjoyed my month on the beach. This house was perfect for me and my dogs. The fenced in yard was such a great perk! The house was clean, bright and airy. Ann was helpful and responsive and all of the neighbors are friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to return!!

Great location with potential, but needs TLC and some updates

The location is great—quiet and close to the beach—and the home had plenty of space for us to unpack and settle in for the month. Ann was very kind and responsive throughout our stay.Unfortunately, the previous tenants had clearly left the home in poor condition. While Ann made an effort to clean before our arrival, we ended up spending half a day deep cleaning—dirty pots/pans, unclean toilets, and grimy surfaces. We ultimately left it in better condition than we found it.Several items were broken on arrival: the grill, sofa, master bed frame, and bathroom sink handle. Ann said she was ordering replacements and a plumber was coming, but nothing happened until the 4th and last week of our stay and then only somethings were fixed. The new sofa (which we assembled and moved out the broken one) came 3 days before we left; the plumber came 5 days before checkout. The TV died and a replacement arrived a few days after, which was nice.The lawn is mowed by a nice gentleman, but weed-whacking trimmings with thorns were left behind. I raked the yard so we could safely walk barefoot. The patio table was buried in overgrowth and too dirty to use. This house has great potential, but it needs more consistent upkeep, furniture updates (of the four sofas, only one was truly comfortable), and better turnover cleaning. A partial refund would be fair given the effort we put into making it livable.

Spacious & comfortable beach house

Was there from August 1st to August 31st, 2022. Pluses are close proximity to the beach, owner, though long distance was readily available by phone, & house was comfortable and spacious. The minuses, however, are: the lawn was sorely neglected. Grass & weeds were tall & gangly upon arrival. Grass was mowed 2 days before my departure. The owner said “she had not been pleased with the lawn man lately”. Not a good first impression. In the kitchen, the freezer door did not shut properly, causing constant ice buildup, which made it even more difficult to close. There was an obvious electrical problem in the kitchen. Several outlets were not working and the garbage disposal didn’t work for the entire month. The circuit breaker panel indicated that attention was needed. When this was discussed with the owner, her reply was: “oh,yes! That has been a problem in the past”. Several of the vent outlets were black with dirt & grease. The worst was on the wall behind the dining room table. In the bathroom the shower stall had a considerable amount of black mold on the floor & up the walls about 3 feet. I scrubbed it as best I could with dish soap & Clorox but several black areas remained in the grout. There was no working wall switch to turn off the ceiling fans in the family room area. They had to remain on all month because I am too short to reach them. The smoke detectors had no covers or batteries. There was no carbon monoxide detector. I was pleased to find a quilted coverlet on the sofa because I had my dog with me. When I removed it to wash it before leaving, I was surprised that the sofa itself was soiled & stained, & hoped the owner realized I wasn’t responsible. The pillows in the house were very old, stained, & had a stale odor. The wooden frame on the lower right side of the door leading from the back deck into the house was badly damaged. It looked like someone smashed it with a hammer up about 7 inches. All above issues aside, I enjoyed my month at the house. I feel, however, that it needs some TLC that an absentee owner cannot provide. I believe a reliable local caregiver or handyman available by phone to help where & when needed as well as a cleaning woman who does more than a general cleanup after renters leave would be all the house needs to keep the guests and therefore, the owner happy. Great location for quiet beach

This is a great location for quiet easy access beach time and the home had an awesome kitchen and grill to prepare meals. Nearby restaurant and grocery stores were very good also.

Lovely house and lovely host!

We (2 adults 4 teenagers) spent a week here. Loved the layout of the house. The boys took out the kayaks every day and disappeared for hours. The beaches were very peaceful, not crowded, and the water calm enough for kayaking. We did many of the activities away from the house (boat ride from Newport, bicycle path from Bristol, Rail Explorers...), but even on the days we didn't have any plans, there was plenty to do here. We also loved the two restaurants nearby and ate there almost every day. Lots of freedom for the always hungry teenagers to get some food or ice cream when they get hungry, I never had to worry about what to feed them next. People in the neighborhood are very friendly and dogs are welcome here! Our 11 years old senior Vizsla dog had a great time going to the beach every day or watching the many bunnies hopping around the yard. Hope to return someday! Thank you, Annie!

Secret Getaway with Beautiful Beach :)

This is an unassuming cottage that has a beautiful kitchen renovation. It is located walking distance from a beautiful private type beach with few people. Which makes it an amazing getaway if you have a book writing project. Anne was very communicative and honest . I will be back again soon. :)

A week of quiet relaxation and lovely walks along the beach.

BayViews is a clean and well-maintained property in a quiet neighborhood where the beach, the town park and two good restaurants are within an easy walk. After you've had your fill of seafood, there are several restaurants within a five mile radius ( I had the best eggplant parmigiana hero at Twisted) and there is always Dave's Fresh Market ( really great). Altho' I did not meet the property owner in person, she was always very prompt at returning my calls and answering questions.

Awesome house steps from the beach

Great property, very clean and inviting. Everything was updated nicely- especially the kitchen. So glad we could bring our dog! Nice little fenced in yard for him to run around. Can’t wait to stay here again- plenty of room for a family!

Beach Getaway

Very simple on VRBO - quick response and easy payment process. We enjoyed the space of the home as well as the proximity to the beach- which was beautiful and relaxing. It was nice having the ability to take breaks and return to the beach later - the weather was great. This was the perfect COVID break - the beach was not busy at all and we basically had a regular spot available each day - our kids had a great time. Thanks..

Sunny, clean, convenient lovely stay!

Everything was great! Booking and check in were a breeze, Annie was a great hostess and I was grateful for her open communication in advance of our stay. We loved the house, great for older teens as the beach and ice cream are steps away. Perfect location that allowed the teens to have some independence but close to home. Beach was quiet compared to other beaches we went to. Rhode Island state beaches and surrounding areas were packed so we really enjoyed the low key privacy at the beach close to the house. House was clean, organized and lots of space for everyone. Loved our stay and highly recommend for families with children of all ages or adults only getaway.

This property is a complete gem! The house itself has so much space to spread out, but is also extremely cozy. It’d be so easy to just stay on the back deck with the grill and lounge chairs for the entire time, but the surrounding area is too amazing not to explore. Mere steps, it feels, to a quiet and pleasant local beach near two great restaurants with plenty of outdoor seating and some seriously great ice cream options, the neighborhood is beautiful and just wandering around is a lovely way to spend a day. The best place for breakfast, though, is PB&J’s, which is about a 15-minute walk up the waterfront road; highly recommend becoming a regular there during your time in this darling community. The house itself was thoroughly stocked and we felt like we had everything at our fingertips. Definitely the best of all worlds if you’re looking for a true vacation!

Exactly what we were looking for!

I rented the home last week. The neighborhood was safe and quiet.This was the perfect get away home vacation during this covid madness. As someone previously mentioned in a review, this place is not a tourist area, and the beach seems to be used more by locals. This made it even better for me since I was super concerned about Covid. The beach and boardwalk was a short walk from the house, 2 minute walk with the adults and a 5 minute walk with a toddler. Communication with the owner was a breeze. Check in was no different. The home was absolutely beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with essential items needed to prepare meals. Annie had plenty of beach towels, linens, pillows, etc. There was nothing extra our family needed. The central air worked well with the exception that the upstairs floor would get warm during the day but at night time it would cool off. The owner does have a fan and in one of the bedrooms an a.c. that worked well for us. This was not an issue for us but it can be a concerned for some who like to nap during the midday. Grocery stores, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar etc are all close by, 15 minutes away or under. Our family look forward to renting this home again.

Great Stay-cation spot

Ann's place was a great place for my family to live in while our house was being renovated. The house was plenty spacious for our family of four and the dog. We loved enjoying the backyard, visiting Iggy's, and biking on the path along the bay. We'll definitely be back in the future!

Terrific time!

We had such a WONDERFUL time at this beautiful house on the beach! Easy check-in.. beautiful, bright, clean & welcoming! The view at sunrise & sunset is breathtaking! 5 minute walk to the beach, boardwalk, restaurants, playground & park! Unfortunately for us, everything was beginning to shut down bc of Covid19. We weren't able to enjoy restaurants or shops but being at Annie's and being able to play in the backyard and sit on the deck & walk to the beach was an absolute paradise. Thank you Annie!

Summer getaway

Great place for a vacation - quiet neighborhood, half a block to the beach. Half a block to Iggy's by the waters edge, a great place for chowder and beach experience. If you like cooking your own meals, nice big kitchen with appliances/utensils, etc. Porch and large barbecue available. Owner was quick to respond to questions/issues we had.

The house was very clean and the owner, Annie, was very accommodating. The beach is a short walk.

The house was very clean and looks like it had been recently updated to include all modern amenities. The private yard is fenced in and there is a nice deck to enjoy the sunrise and sunset from the bay. The central air works well, but a couple of hot nights it was slightly uncomfortable in the upstairs bedrooms. We used the fans in the house to make it tolerable. The beach is very close by and is more of a local beach. The public beach is only busy on the weekend, otherwise you almost have the beach to yourself. There are other beaches within walking distance (no lifeguards) and they are dog friendly. The Oakland beach neighborhood appears to be making a coming back and we felt safe to walk around day and night. There are a few properties in the neighborhood that were not well kept. Otherwise, the neighborhood was quiet and people were very friendly. This is not a tourist area, so finding things to do with the older kids in the immediate area was a chore. However, side trips to Providence and Newport made the week fun. We also explored Rocky Point State Park, which was a short drive away and found the history of the park quite interesting. There are great restaurants and shops in East Greenwich, which is a short drive away. Iggy’s and Top of the Bay are a short walk from the house and are good bets for dinner. Both restaurants are busy, especially on the weekend. I recommend this house for adults looking to “get away from it all” and couples with young children who want a close-by and quiet beach. This is also a good bet for those who want to avoid tourist areas and large crowds. Lastly, our dog loved running around the backyard and daily walks and swims in the ocean.
