About Jeff Harbit

I am a transplanted midwesterner from Iowa. I moved to Charleston in 1992 for the climate and to earn an advanced degree at MUSC. I am currently renovating a marsh front house on Seabrook Island that I purchased in 2016. It was during 2017 that I came upon 6 Dune Crest. My wife and I have spent as much time as we can during the summer out on Seabrook Island. We love it out here. I have been renovating homes and renting properties for 20+ years. I'm looking forward to having people stay in my Villa, Seabrook Island is a great place to vacation.. I'm offering the following to my guests.

1) A Year End Guest Appreciation Drawing. At years end, 2 different names of guests who have stayed at my Villa will be drawn from a hat, the lucky guests will either get one weeks future stay or a 3 night/4 day stay, free of charge. Off peak season stay, cannot be redeemed, sold or used by anyone other then the person who's name is drawn.

2) Guest referral program, guests who stay at my Villa, refer my Villa to others and collect a referral fee based on the length of time there referral stays at my Villa. Call for details.

3) Photo Contest. Guests submit the best photo they take out here on Seabrook during there stay. At the end of the year my step children will pick a winning photo. The winner gets a free 4 day/3 night stay. This idea came to me from a couple guests who sent me pictures from there stay.

4) Last minute reservations for days Villa is empty will have reduced rates. Call for details.

Why Jeff Harbit chose Seabrook Island

6 Dune Crest is a very nice, very well kept 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 950 square foot elevated "Treehouse" villa, which was totally renovated in 2014. It is a beautiful, very private villa. It is a short walk to the Beach, Lakehouse and Clubhouse. It can accommodate 2 couples or a couple and 3-4 kids. It has a full kitchen, Keurig coffee maker, hardwood floors, ceiling fans in all the rooms, outdoor decking for sitting around, enjoy the surroundings in the evenings as you relax on the deck. It is a stand alone property with plenty of privacy. It is very economically priced when compared to staying at hotels and motels, which don't have many of the benefits of staying out at Seabrook Island.

What makes this villa unique

Seabrook Island is close to the lovely, historic city of Charleston. The resort is beautiful but private and is seldom crowed with people. The resort and the Charleston area offer plenty of things to do. You can stay on Seabrook and have plenty of interesting activities to do. No need to leave the Island, but if you decide to venture out, Charleston is only 25 minutes away thru an Oak Tree Canopy road.

This villa totals 950 square feet, it is secluded and private. It is a free-standing unit so you are not sharing a wall with a neighbor. The deck overlooks the 18th fairway of the Crooked Oaks Gold Course and offers lovely views of the lagoon and bridge over the lagoon where you will often see alligators sunning themselves or egrets fishing. it is very common to see deer and wild turkeys throughout the Island, at any time, day or nite. One of the most private , peaceful, best renovated and cozy villas on the Island.

Relaxation in paradise

  • 5 of 5

We planned a girl's weekend in place of a bachelorette trip for my upcoming wedding and chose Jeff's place out of the entire Charleston area. It was perfect for the four of us and he provides all the essentials. We found it to be low on salt, but Freshfields is a short drive away, so we picked up a jumbo size of Morton for the next guests :) We thoroughly enjoyed the four bikes and beach equipment located in the downstairs of the rental. One of the handlebars was rather loose, but we drove up to the security gate, and Mr. Lopez eagerly assisted. We took a day trip to Charleston which was about a 30 minute drive. The Angel Oak tree is an easy detour on the way to Charleston. Honestly, our favorite memories were spent on the deck of the rental and exploring Seabrook Island via bike. The amenities are well worth the $25 a day, and when you return the amenity card, you receive $11 back. Pelican's Nest has great food and the bartenders make great drinks as well. All in all, this trip was made very easy thanks to Jeff's place.

Great 1st time at Seabrook Island

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 4 (2 adult/almost adult children) enjoyed our 1st visit to Seabrook and our time at this Tree house villa. The owner provided quick responses. The kitchen was very well stocked - we ate all our meals in and found everything that we needed. We would have enjoyed a cushioned chair in the living area instead of/in addition to the rocking chair & couch, but the couch was comfortable. The only other negative was that the water pressure was a little lower than we were used to at home and the shower heads were a little low, but the girls are over 5'8" & so is my husband.

We used the bikes and they were handy to have on site and included with the rental. We also borrowed a beach chair or two most days. Lots of other items in the room under the house that would be great for families.

It was about a 10 minute walk from the house to beach access #9 and we used that for early morning and evening walks on the beach. Other times we drove to other beach access points. It was fun to try each of them out. Lots of wildlife and quiet space - we LOVED that!

Very Nice Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this treehouse on Seabrook Island. The house worked perfectly for our family of four. They also had books and board games to play. The treehouse is located very close to the Beach Club pool, and the beach walk ins. Not only was the house nice/clean, the owner was very helpful, knowledgeable of the area, and has even offered to ship my forgotten coffee mug to me. I would definitely recommend staying here.
