The house was impeccably clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. I meant to bring my own crockpot for one of our meals, but it slipped my mind in the rush to leave home. Thankfully, there was one there for me to use.

What a beautiful property! We gathered to celebrate the wedding of my son. Although the couple decided to have their ceremony elsewhere, we hosted a dinner celebration of the couple. We were surprised by how well stocked with gadgets the kitchen was, making preparations so easy. There were plenty of places for people to enjoy meal and conversation that felt intimate. By day, the creek was a popular place to hike and soak while at night, it lulled us to sleep. The resource book the host provides was well organized with a table of contents and answered every question we had. I especially appreciated the hiking trail descriptions that are on site. I highly recommend this cozy getwlaway.

Writer's Retreat

This is my fifth time bringing students to write creatively in the mountains of North Carolina. This year Helene put a new perspective on the power of nature and the devastation which still remains. 18 students from Spartanburg Day School created and wrote about memories made and putting the beauty of nature in its proper perspective. Diamond Shoals Preserve once again was the perfect stay. The challenges of nature continue to make it more beautiful.

Amazing Vacation

This was an amazing property. Honestly, the pictures do not do the property justice. Our family is all about the outdoors and wanted a vacation spot that accentuated the out of doors. Honestly, our grandkids would have been happy to just stay here and play in the amazing creek the entire time. We actually ended up staying here so they could...from morning until the evening...they were playing outside. The hike to the waterfall was amazing...AMAZING. How often do you get to swim and play in a waterfall. Not to mention you don't even have to leave the property to experience these amazing hikes...and the crowning touch was we met a bear on one of our hikes as well. we certainly did not want to leave...and we will be back...and I haven't even mentioned the outdoor shower!!!

Absolutely beautiful and tranquil property.

The house is beautiful and extremely well stocked kitchen. The surroundings are beautiful and so peaceful. We left one time to go to chimney rock but you could honestly stay on the property your whole visit. Hiking trails are great. We loved the property so much that one of our children wants to get married there. It is easy to get too and we just overall really enjoyed our time. Check out was super easy and we will rent this house again.

Everything You’d Ever Want

We had an incredible time. The property had so much to offer, in addition to the great house that actually held us all (with bunkhouse included). We loved our time here, did 3 of the hikes listed in the book, played in the water and had a disc golf competition. When we found wasps on the property, the owner was quick to send someone out to deal with it. The house was clean and comfortable. We know there’s a great big world out there to see, but we might just keep coming back to this place because we were all so happy there!

Diamond Preserve

Absolutely beautiful place for our large family of 17; waterfalls and trails were spectacular; the house was fully stocked and spacious and convenient to Chimney Rock. We can't wait to book again next summer.

Amazing Spot!

The house was amazing - very spacious, clean and it looked exactly like the pictures. The location was very private which was nice but it was hard to get cars out there (Ubers) so we mainly scheduled car services or buses to pick us up when we left the house. The property manager was very responsive and very helpful! I would highly recommend this house!

Gorgeous Cabin!

This is such a gorgeous and well designed cabin! There was enough space for the whole family. We had a small wedding ceremony where the property overlooks the creek that runs through the property and it could not have been more perfect. Everything was amazing! We can’t wait to come back!

Students were on a Writer's Retreat creating stories and poems to later be published in Griffin .

It was perfect for our needs. The 3 bathrooms with only 2 indoor showers was tricky, but we managed. It would be lovely to have an indoor shower in the bunk house. This was only minor and we plan to stay next year also.

Great Stay

This home was a short drive to Santa Fe and was a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Very clean and all the amenities you'd want in a home away from home.

Best house ever

This house was simply amazing. It is tucked away so you have lots of privacy and is located on the most beautiful river. Our group enjoyed the hot tub, cooking, watching movies, and exploring the property. We will definitely come again!

2nd Family Christmas Here

This was our 2nd Christmas trip here and everyone loves it. There is something for everyone. 12 of us, my husband & myself, our adult children & their spouses plus our 5 grandkids ranging from 4 to 15, and there is always an adventure to be found, hiking to the waterfall, finding turkeys in the field, hot tub, jumping in the swimming hole or just playing games and working puzzles. Great location, Hendersonville is excellent and close by, the pizza at La Strada in Lake Lure is DELISH! and you can always visit Chimney Rock. All around perfect place.

Best House In Asheville Area

Diamond Falls was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in during our family trips. The house had everything we needed from cooking utensils, grilling equipment, and games in the home. We normally go to the parks for our hiking but were wildly impressed with the trails at the house. From the falls to the cliffs, they were absolutely spectacular. The kids also loved to catch trout at the pond and spent hours out there just watching the fish. Even though the weather was cooler in the high 60s, the kids still hit the swimming hole just up the way. Fantastic trip! We hope to be back in the near future.

Small Family Wedding Weekend

We came down from NJ/NY for our small intimate wedding with our family and the property was better then the images showed!! We had an amazing weekend with our family and friends. The property manager was very responsive with any questions we had coming into the weekend. The house was beautiful and we can’t wait to come back one day. We would find something new every day around the property to explore! Quick note: We’re hikers and some of the trails were surprisingly INTENSE so be aware of some steep terrain haha

Peaceful haven in the great outdoors

Wow. This place was incredible and pictures don’t do it justice. Our group had a fabulous time enjoying the fire pit, hot tub and all the hiking trails. Some have some steep climbs but the views are worth it-and to be able to access them from the front door and not having to drive anywhere simply adds to the experience. We were impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was and received prompt responses when we reached out with questions. We left already discussing dates to come back for a longer stay. You won’t regret booking this place!

Breathtaking location, beautiful house!

Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed the amazing beauty of this location. The property manager was very easy to get in touch with. The house was beautiful with plenty of room. The two refrigerators and double oven were very convenient with our large family. Internet access was slow but we were able to use our cell phones. The house was comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation. I highly recommend staying here!

Great vacation property

This was our second year staying at this property. Wonderful place secluded,quiet great fishing hole and swimming hole. The kids are busy all week primarily outside the house has everything you need. The hike to the water falls is a treat. The kids love sliding down the rocks at the bottom of the falls. The trip to the bottom of the falls is not easy but we’ll worth it. The field provides an area for anything athletic. The pictures show as is. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful Home on Spectacular Property

Group of close friends immensely enjoyed Diamond Falls Preserve. The home was beautiful and the amenities offered on the property were second-to-none. We enjoyed the various outdoor spaces and took advantage of everything the home and area had to offer. Would highly recommend to friends and family!

Bachelor Party Perfection

Stayed here with a big group for a bachelor party and it was the perfect location. The home is beautiful and the online listing does not do it justice. The home alone is great but the outdoors/location is what makes it. The creek and the hiking trails are awesome. The hosts are very kind and communicated well throughout the stay. Not sure when I will be back in the area but I would love to stay here again and recommend it for anyone considering the location.
