About Robert and Carola
This condo is owned by Greg and Susie of San Diego. My wife Susie and I have been visiting Hawaii since we met. I've always heard of Hawaii referred to as being "Romance and Magic Beside the Sea" or an "Urban Fantasy" - both have always seemed true to us. I've been visiting for all my life and although there have been many changes and improvements, the essence is still the same. Our friends, Robert and Carola Intersimone, are our guest liaisons, so please contact them with any questions you might have. Mahalo (Thanks) P.S. Right below this, it will say on the listing that "Robert and Carola purchased this condo in 2005." That is not exactly right; it just autofills from the "contact field." Sorry for any confusion.

Why Robert and Carola chose Waikiki
Over the many years of traveling to Waikiki it was very easy to narrow the choices to one of the 3 waterfront condo buildings in the main section of Waikiki. The other building had mostly side views of the ocean, while the Ilikai Marina units on the waterfront have a almost 180 degree panoramic view of the water. We are right on the marina so you get to see all the coming and going of boats and outriggers from the marina and the Ali Wai which feeds into the marina. If you look to the right you see all the way up the coast to the Waiani Mountain range and out to Barbers Point. You also see all the comings and goings from the 4 harbors that lie just up the coast for the first few miles - you are directly above the yacht harbor, the sport fishing harbor is next just past the mile long stretch of Ala Moana Beach and 100 acre of fabulous park in front of the worlds largest open mall. Next is Honolulu Harbor, then Pearl Harbor and far up the coast, Barber's Point.
What makes this Condo unique
This condo has one of the best views in Waikiki in a great location. It may be the best equipped condo you can find, with free parking, loads of beach equipment, a fantastic kitchen and lots of extras. This is a real 1 bedroom with sliding door to separate the bedroom from the living area. As one of our guests wrote, visiting this condo, "we felt like we were in a home of a friend" rather than visiting a hotel. It has unique art and furnishings done in island style.

We will be back!
The owners have thought of every detail for making their apartment feel like a home away from home. The only issue is that we wish we could have stayed longer!
Great place and location!
This was the perfect condo to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Waking up to the view of the harbor from our bed was amazing! Robert and Carola were very responsive and if we are blessed with a return visit, we will definitely look into their condo again! Tom and Karen
The condo was everything we expected and more!
This condo offers more amenities than they even listed. The attention to details and location made for a great first time experience in Honolulu. And having the parking included was definitely an added bonus! Any time I communicated with the managers, they were quick to respond! Honolulu was a great 40th anniversary present for us!!
The condo was just as described and in an excellent location! We really enjoyed our stay - especially our views! The whole experience was just perfect and I highly recommend the property.
This condo has absolutely everything you need for a great stay. Very comfortable and we appreciated all the antiques and island/Asian furnishings and decoration. Although we didn’t spend a lot of time in the condo, we were very comfortable when we did. Couch, bed, kitchen, bath are all exceptional.
If you like modern architecture, then this condo isn’t for you. But if you enjoy feeling like you’re in someone’s home, then this is the place for you.
Location couldn’t be nicer and since you’re off the Main Street it is very quiet. And, of course the view is lovely.
We will be back!
One more time
The condo and surroundings were very nice. A lot of the better restaurants witin walking distance in the area were gone and driving to find new ones was challenging . All in all Our stay was very good and enjoyable.
All that Waikiki and Oahu offers is right at your feet in this
incredibly convenient & beautiful unit.
Waikiki has been spoken of as "romance and magic beside the sea," or as an" urban fantasy," Both terms have always rung true for me. Although I travel to all the islands, I always return to my favorite, Oahu and Waikiki in particular. There is an energy in Waikiki that I find nowhere else, and yet if I want seclusion or to go back to an earlier Hawaii, it's all there on Oahu.
In 10 minutes I'm in an incredible jungle rainforest with a short walk to a waterfall and swimming hole at it's base. 10 minutes more and I'm at the top of the Pali looking down at most beautiful view of the other side of the island - currently my favorite view in the world. On clear days you see Kailua and all of Kane'ohe Bay, with it's many reefs and Disappearing Beach out in the middle. If it's raining, even better, watch the Pali (cliffs) as they turn into waterfalls thousands of feet tall.
Last year we stopped counting when we got to more than 30 of these waterfalls on a short drive up the coast about 15 minutes. Continue up the coast and back in time to the Hawaii of decades ago.
Don't miss the shrimp trucks for a bite as you approach the North Shore and the 7 mile miracle known as the best stretch of surfing on the planet from Sunset Beach to the Pipeline to Waimea, before you arrive at the cute town of Haleiwa. Stop and look around town or eat in one of the many restaurants before continuing on to the even more remote areas of Mokule'ia and the end of the road at Ka'ena Point (the point at which the Hawaiians believed your spirit departed this earth), or you can take the turn off just past Haleiwa and head back to Waikiki, less than an hour away.
