The host, LuAnne, communicated promptly and professionally with me prior to the trip and dropped off some home-made soap, which was a very welcoming gesture. I would have to say that the first impression was not as good as it could be, Garden area was overgrown and weedy and garage door was broken. The exterior gardens and lawn could use some attention. The interior was beautiful and lovingly remodeled. The linens were wonderful and overall it was very comfortable. We did have some problems with the coffeepot and should probably be replaced. The view was magnificent and we had a great time!

Thank you Janice for the review, and we're so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the tip about the coffee pot, we've replaced it. (there was a spare in the closet but maybe not easy to spot). True, the gardens this year are overgrown, as we had so much damage to the entry road, driveway, deck and water well, we had a tremendous amount of work done digging up and repairing this spring, we could not get to it. That will be next spring's project. The garage door is not broken however, it was left part-way up about a foot, as it's not electric and easier to lift up. Thank you for the specific feedback, as it's always the most helpful.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The home was charming, beautifully maintained, and even more inviting than the photos. LuAnne was incredibly responsive and helpful from start to finish.We only wish we had more time to explore the beautiful area! We would love to come back and stay again. Highly recommend to anyone considering a visit.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Stewart’s Folie and we’ve enjoyed the experience both times. We brought our two dogs and three children (26, 24, and 21) and we had a lovely time. We love the private wooded trails, the kayaks and proximity to the lake, and the pickleball court. We will be back!

Great Getaway

Very relaxing sitting out on the deck, fishing is great at the dock. Enjoyed evening fires next to the lake. Easy access to Charlevoix.

Fun family vacation

We were able to find this property at the very last minute and it worked out perfectly. The house and property worked great for our family vacation. The boys enjoyed swimming, fishing, and playing in the bonus playhouse. The location of the property was also great to explore the many different activities in the area.

The location was perfect for our wedding in Charlevoix. The remodeled "rustic" look was wonderful. Just wish we had more sunshine and more time to enjoy the amenities and view.

There to visit family. The owners were great in accommodating our family that would visit during the day. We wouldn’t have minded one TV in the house. The doors to the deck were a little sticky and we were afraid we were going to break it.
