The view was definitely worth the ride up! I don't think I have ever experienced so much wildlife on a trip. We heard owls, whippoorwills, coyotes, dogs, chipmunks, and loads of birds. We drove our 4WD truck, but our friends had no trouble in their 17 year old Subaru. The house was perfect for us. It makes me sort of sad that we just bought a camper!
Great cabin! Very clean, great view, and very quiet.
We had a great mini vacation for our 20th anniversary. You definitely need a 4x4 to get up to the cabin but the drive is well worth it. The cabin is very cozy. It's very clean and has everything you need. It's not far from Hendersonville so you can enjoy restaurants or shops. The cabin is also close to Bat Cave and Chimney Rock. I would highly recommend this property and we hope to stay again soon!
Loved this place!
Views were incredible! You do need a 4-wheel drive.
Great views, cozy cabin
Cabin needed a good cleaning inside. Many spider webs in the corners. Cozy cabin with nice deck and great views! Beware of the drive on single lane road, very steep.
Private, Comfortable, Relaxing
Beth was great. She was responsive and made the entire booking / arrival process easy. The cabin is clean and comfortable. The views are spectacular. The gravel road to the cabin is pretty well maintained but they aren't kidding about the need for AWD/4WD to reach the destination. It's steep in places with some pretty cool switchbacks, but not bothersome if you take your time. (both directions) An awesome getaway spot!
A great place to find rest from a hectic world.
Very well maintained. Beautiful views from every window. Comfort of home. You do need to buy all staples. Some people leave odds and ends in the kitchen. The road takes a few trips to get used to the turns and steep hills. Follow directions carefully, met a unfriendly neighbor on a wrong turn. The trip back to town takes 35 minutes due to the time required to travel the unpaved road. But its beautiful and you can travel both west and east easily. The owners were always available to help us. We would stay here again!
