WE DON'T LIVE IN A SQUARE WORLD, WHY VACATION IN A SQUARE HOUSE?

Come and experience the unique feel of a round house designed and built by world renowned Deltec Home, Inc., of Asheville, NC. This 2 story home, built on pilings, comfortably sleeps 6 with 2 bedrooms and 3 full baths, washer/dryer and a queen sleeper sofa all located on the first floor. The second floor contains a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and a full bathroom. Also located on the 2nd floor is a 56' DLP TV with a state of the art surround sound system that will provide you with a theater quality experience. From the 2nd story deck you will enjoy beautiful sunsets and see for miles with views of Charlotte Harbour in the distance. A large secured storage area is provided below the home for your convenience. From the hardwood floors, flat screen TV's, granite countertops to the ceiling fans, you will find this home to have a classy yet very comfortable feel.

This Bokeelia home, located on 1.3 acres, is within walking distance to Four Winds Marina, where you can rent or dock a boat while you're here. You can also grab lunch or dinner at The Lazy Flamingo. A public boat ramp and fishing pier are less than a mile from the property. Bokeelia is a quiet, relaxed and tranquil spot which will remind you of what island life in Florida once was. The waters surrounding Bokeelia offer some of the best fishing in the country. You can stay in the back bays and fish for snook, redfish or snapper or head to the flats for trout and mackerel or try your hand at tarpon fishing in the famous Boca Grande Pass. For land lovers, the island offers fine and casual dining, golf, swimming, tennis, biking and shopping. If you happen to miss the big city, take a short 30 minute ride off the island and enjoy historical landmarks (The Edison Home), a family water park (SunSplash), catch a show at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater or shop at one of several malls in Fort Myers.

We have bikes, tennis racquets, horseshoes, golf clubs and much more to help make your stay enjoyable. We also have canoes and a golf cart that are available for an additional fee. Please inquire when you call! Please note...NO pets are allowed!

About Van & Irene Davis

This home is owned by the Davis/Connelly family. We try to use it as much as possible when other folks aren't! We enjoy crusing the island on our bikes or golf cart and love to fish in Charlotte Harbor. We live in Fort Myers which makes this a perfect 'getaway'...close to home but on Island Time! Be sure to check us out on Facebook too!

Van & Irene Davis purchased this house in 2007

Why Van & Irene Davis chose Pine Island

We love the laid back atmosphere of the island and of course the great fishing! We wanted a home that would stand out and get noticed.

What makes this house unique

Our favorite thing to do is go out in the boat and fish. We usually ALWAYS catch something and it is fun not knowing what is on your line until you pull it in. We of course, love to catch something we can eat...trout, redfish and snapper.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for everything. We really enjoyed our stay at your house. The boat worked out great for our little trek to Cayo costa. We left yesterday morning around 10am. We will definitely be contacting you again. The house worked out great for us. (this was an email from the family who spent the holiday weekend at our home)

We like the quick access to water and fishing. We love the view from the living area and watching the pelicans, ospreys, and ibis on a daily basis. The island is perfect for our needs.

Fun Family Fishing trip!

  • 5 of 5

We live about an hour's drive north of the Round House in Bokeelia and I had the opportunity to "check out" the accommodations before we actually stayed there, so let me assure you, the description in their listing is quite accurate. Nicely decorated and having everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms (really nice having 3 bathrooms for of us), we planned and ate there every meal. Sleeping arrangements for 6 is all on the lower level with decks on both. Had a beautiful sunset after the rain both nights. There is access for the two fishing boats we brought (there are two ramps for putting them in very close by) and bikes to ride around the neighborhood. We had a wonderful weekend there!

winter retreat

  • 5 of 5

Spent 3 winter months at the round house and going back next year. Love the ability to walk down the street and put kayaks in or take walks or bike rides for miles. Sunsets and watching the birds at eye level is great. Great semi-quiet island living.

Great place

  • 5 of 5

Perfect place for boaters. The boat ramp is very close, and the property has ample space for parking. We took three vehicles and three boat trailers; parked them all with no trouble. We are all South Florida natives who wanted to get away for a short weekend. Even though we love and appreciate Charlotte Harbor every day, this was a perfect close get away. Matlacha is a special treat to visit with the art shops. Four Winds marina had the coldest beer ever. Wonderful views from every window. The owner was very accommodating as far as check in and out times. We would all go back.
