The house was as advertised, about a half a mile walk to the beach and maybe a five minute walk to the little store/restaurant. There was a view of the water and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The shower on the main floor is hysterical. The kitchen is very well appointed. I ended up cooking there 2–3 times and everything I needed was there.

Loved every second of it. Perfect house. Loved having 2 bathrooms. The downstairs was great. The deck was huge. Only thing we would add is a BBQ, unless we just couldn’t find it. We loved our stay. Thank you!

Ladies weekend

As a frequent visitor of Dillon Beach I really enjoyed this home in the village. It has a wonderful deck, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen (cutting knives that actually cut!) and reasonable parking access. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Home Base

We had a large group camping at Lawson’s Landing and rented this house to be close to them. The house was perfectly stocked from the kitchen, to the games and even the lanterns for being out at night. It was a great home base for us to come back to and warm up at the end of the day. We felt comfortable and enjoyed drinking our coffee in the morning while watching the waves. The only thing we wished we could have used was access to a washer and dryer. It was difficult with kids to store and manage all of our sandy and dirty items without a way to clean them.

It was very cold in the house, especially downstairs! And, upon arrival, noticed spaghetti noodles in the bottom of the dishwasher! Could’ve used more than two dish towels, as well.

Wonderful Getaway

This property was a wonderful place for spending down time with friends. The kitchen was fully stocked, the fridge was roomy, and it was easy to cook. The porch has only 4 chairs; no tables. Small tables on which to place snacks, coffee, etc would be a nice touch. It was peaceful, but a crowded street. For the price, we would stay again.

Girlfriend trip

The cottage is very cute, beautiful view and a close walk to beach. We had to leave the wall heaters on continuously in order to heat up the house. We enjoyed our stay.

Besides the house being perfect the beach was right there and it was a perfect!! It was clean and not a lot of people. Perfect for a day n the beach.

Comfy Dillon Beach

Seaside Serenity was very clean, comfortable, and was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and seasonings. It felt “Just Like Home.” The location and view were great.

Two nights w family, partner and kids (2 & 5). Great location and walk to beach and market (used a wagon for kids to the beach). Happy the main bedroom was large because we all shared. I felt uncomfortable about my daughter (5) staying downstairs alone in the second bedroom and for the steepness of the stairs (tried a baby gate that was there but the beautiful molding didn’t allow me to secure it). I wish both bedrooms were on the same level. Downstairs was definitely musty, which I pre-read and was familiar w in other homes in the neighborhood. Upstairs and front deck were great spaces. Kitchen and main bedroom were very comfortable and equipped. Front deck was a nice and secure outdoor location for my family. Thank you for allowing us to use your house.

Decent stay but place could use a little attention

Interesting older home that is furnished nicely. The location was nice, just a short walk to the ocean. The house had enough space for a family of four, but the lower level did smell a little musty. The lower level shower did have a very large step to use. We chose not to use it. The kitchen did have nice bright light coming in. The appliances did appear fairly new, but the freezer did not make ice. The driveway would be very tight to park 2 vehicles. A permanent trailer across the road made it difficult to access the driveway. The grill and patio furniture was dirty. I did message the host about concerns with both grill and patio, which i didn't recieve a response back. The patio door is very hard to lock. Some outlets/ switches do not work and some outlets are loose in the electrical box.

an interesting place

The inside has been redecorated in an interesting and cute way. The downstairs is rather dark--okay for sleeping but not where you would want to spend time. The downstairs shower is definitely not for an older person or kids. the front door is a mess and the stairs going up are really steep and the handrails are slippery and would probably give you a splinter if you were falling. There is no safety info in the binder and no instructions on the various heaters and wall units in the home. There is a loud bathroom? fan in the entry to the LR. While we were there, the batteries in the front door lock failed and we were stuck for almost 3 hours waiting for the manager to come and fix it.

Great location - Needs Some Improvements

Admittedly, I am a bit picky when it comes to VRBOs. The cottage is updated and the furniture is nice. The location is outstanding, you can sit on the deck or open the french doors and listen to the ocean for hours. The problem lies with the second bedroom in the basement and both bathrooms. The bathrooms need an update for sure and the lower level bedroom is a bit creepy. It was super musty and with a door that leads outside and a “private area” for the owners it is not a place I would ever put children in or want to sleep in again.

Best Beach weekend ever.

This property was fabulous The kitchen had every necessary appliance, utensil, and more. The decor was lovely and well done. The deck was a great space and furniture when the sun came out. The beds were very comfortable and the wall heaters worked very well. I would have enjoyed a Dillon Beach map in the binder if one is available.

We will be back!

I’ve stayed out at Dillon Beach many many times, in several different houses and this one is one of our favorites! The huge deck with an ocean view was amazing, we sat out there a lot. The kitchen was perfect, beds were comfy. Obviously such a short walk to the beach. We can’t wait to be back!
