About this property

The Pottery at Reverie Gardens is your dream destination!

The Pottery is the perfect place to come and unplug! This two bedroom house with full kitchen and one bathroom located on 2.5 acres of beautiful gardens by the Dungeness River can accommodate up to four people comfortably. Both bedrooms have comfortable queen beds. There is a lovely built in tiled bar in the kitchen for entertaining, and a masa grill for gatherings on one of the two patios. The grounds boast two ponds, surrounded by a variety of exotic and colorful trees and flowering plants. This is a gardener's dream getaway only 3 miles from town, but essentially with an "off the grid" feel. There is a television for watching movies and an extensive library of classic and cult favorite dvds. We are located 1/2 mile from the newly opened Dungeness Trails mountain biking trails. We have four mountain bikes that you are welcome to use, however you will need to bring your own helmets. Come and enjoy the serenity and peace at the Pottery in Reverie Gardens. I LOVE this little piece of paradise. Close to the sights, but a destination in itself. I am thinking about coming back for an extended stay somewhere down the road simply to soak in it’s peace and beauty.

This place was an incredible garden paradise. The owners are so welcoming and left out and offered fresh fruit from their trees every day and gave us a tour of their beautiful gardens. Lots of deer come in and out of the property, hummingbirds, and other fun wildlife. I would highly recommend it for anybody staying in the area.

Reverie Gardens was lovely in every way. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location feels remote while still a short drive into town. There are two units; we stayed in the bigger one (it’s a complete home!) which is at ground level and was great for my elderly mother with mobility issues. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen could have used a few more cooking utensils but was still functional (we ate/cooked in while there), and the patios, gardens, and outdoor areas were beautiful. While not cheap, the price was very fair considering how spacious, private, and peaceful the accommodations were. We are already planning a return trip to Reverie Gardens!

I cannot recommend The Pottery at Reverie Gardens enough. I stayed two nights with my sister and her son who were visiting from Germany. We loved every minute of it. The cottage is lovely and well kept. The garden is magical and an inspiration for budding gardeners like me. The hosts, Susan and Kevin, are welcoming and kind, always ready to share helpful information. The animals are a delight: Lucy, Washington’s happiest dog, is always ready for cuddles, Uni the cat when he is ready for a break from patrolling the garden, the chickens - all unique little characters - fun to watch. I cannot wait to share this enchanting place with my daughter sometime soon. Thank you, Susan and Kevin, for sharing your beautiful garden with us!

I’m a gardener but not in the caliber of Susan and Kevin, this garden is amazing, just gorgeous with so many lovely unique spots to stop, sit and enjoy the glorious view. My sister and I were enchanted. The Pottery is similarly a beautiful jewel, with so many different comfortable areas to take a seat and let your eyes drink in the architecture, eclectic art and furniture pieces or wander out the many windows to the garden. We had wonderful conversations with Susan and Kevin (often while adoring their sweet dog Lucy), they were warm and welcoming and gave us great suggestions for enjoying the local areas. We so appreciated their hospitality and can’t wait to visit again. We found it easy to get in, the kitchen has most things you’ll need for cooking. There was plenty of towels and a nice assortment of toiletries. The beds were super comfortable and everything was very clean. I loved getting up early, making coffee and sitting on the beautiful patio, breathing in the fresh cedar scented air, savoring the garden and watching deer graze nearby. It was heaven.

I really loved my stay at the Pottery at Reverie Gardins! Kevin and Susan were very friendly and helpful hosts. The property is a piece of paradise and the house was charming and cozy. They shared fresh figs off their fig tree with us! I would definitely stay there again!

Had a very relaxing stay. terrific accommodation, beautiful grounds and a friendly owner who gave explanation about the many unusual plants and trees on the property. Also, the very convenient to attractions like Dungeness Spit, Crescent Lake and Hurricane Ridge. Will stay there on any future trips to Sequim.

Garden Getaway

Lovely, tranquil, beautiful setting. Kevin & Susan are delightful hosts. The Pottery house was perfectly set up for our last minute weekend anniversay holiday. We enjoyed cooking, walking the grounds, playing with the dogs, taking multitudes of photos including the deer and chickens of which the later provided a wonderful morning wakeup call! We look forward to staying again.

Meet Kevin and Susan Magner. Susan, originally from West Seattle, has lived on this piece of heaven since 1968. Kevin, from Sacramento, came to Sequim in 1968. This year, 2024, they celebrated 50 years of marriage. With a passion for gardening and creating beautiful spaces, Susan and her husband Kevin have transformed what was once a horse and goat pasture into a beautiful serene setting with two houses and several interesting additional structures. Kevin and Susan are both retired from teaching. Kevin continues playing music part time at local venues. When she is not busy with volunteer work, Susan can always be found with her cats in her flowers in the garden.

Why they chose this property

Invited by her father who had just purchased two pieces of property outside sunny Sequim, Susan moved into a small rustic cabin on the property in 1968 to get out of the city, get back to the land, and "set her soul free."
Except for a year and a half on the island of Maui, she has been here ever since, transforming the property inspired by her love of flowers and plants. As it states in the property description, The Pottery was originally just that: a pottery shop with small living quarters. It has since been transformed into a beautiful and artistic "stove wood" house.

What makes this property unique

This place is heavenly! You will see that the minute you step out of your vehicle and gaze at the variety of trees, shrubs, and flowering plants, as well as the interesting and unique structures. It will invoke in you a deep breath and sense of relaxation.
