About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + click clak sofa +single roll away,1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Welcome to the Peaceful Side of Oahu - far away from the crowds at Waikiki. Our one bedroom condo in the Pat's at Punaluu building has it all! You will find a complete kitchen with updated cabinets and stainless steel appliances, a washer/dryer in the unit, a King Size bed in the bedroom and a click clak sofa in the living room. There is also a flat screen LCD panel TV, a docking station for your ipod and wireless internet for your use.

Enjoy your coffee on the large lanai as you watch the sun rise over the ocean. Stroll along the calm, peaceful beach directly in front of the building - literally steps away or take a dip in the oceanfront pool. You can enjoy snorkeling, swimming, playing in the sand or just doing absolutely nothing on this pristine and uncrowded beach.

Our unit is on the 4th floor and is over 700 sq. feet - this is not a studio - this is a true one bedroom with plenty of room. Other units are similarly priced but they are not updated and they do not have a real bedroom. The building has keyed elevators for your protection and an on site Resident Manager.

Haleiwa, Polynesian Cultural Center, Laie and the North Shore are just minutes away along one of the most scenic drives in Hawaii. Close to shopping, movie theaters and restaurants.

If you want to get away from Waikiki but still enjoy all that Oahu has to offer, come to Peaceful Punaluu!

Or if you want to split your time between the best locations on Oahu, we have a condo in Waikiki steps away from beach and a beachfront unit in Makaha as well. Book one or more of our condos for a special rate and get the best of both worlds. Please see vrbo #185512 and #182612

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Such a great place to stay--Room for up to 6 to sleep (we had 5), kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. The balcony is fantastic: such a great place to sit in the morning with coffee or at night with something else. The views are superb, because the ocean is just RIGHT THERE. Donna was helpful ahead of time, and Robin was helpful when we were there. Highly recommended.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Pats in Punaluu twice and it has always been the best. This was a great place to stay. We stayed two weeks this time. We just can't stay long enough. Everything was clean and wonderful. Cooked a lot of our meals and kitchen is great. Owners went out of their way to make sure everything went well. From helping me with my lost phone to offering to put us in one of their other places upon early arrival on Christmas day. This is one of the best family friendly parts of Oahu to swim in the ocean. Our family went snorkeling every day, because the reef is so far out, about 1/4 mile or more, the waters are very calm, clear, and you can stand up in most places. There is a lot to see from exotic fish, sea turtles, sea urchins, sea cumbers, little eels just before dark and never saw a shark or anything dangerous. Unit is very nice, great views from the balcony, took pictures that look like they came out of a calendar. Went with wife and older children, we could watch them from the balcony. Ocean is 40 or 50 feet from building, very private, and never crowded. This is a place we will visit again and again. People are friendly. Just minutes from cultural center, BYU Hawaii, shopping and restraints, subway is almost across the street. Not clouded like the other parts of Oahu, but you are only 45 minutes from all that stuff.

Thank you so much for renting out the condo! This was our first visit to Hawaii and I know it won't be our last. The scenic drive from the busy city was well worth it. My kids enjoyed every single day of our 7 day stay. The Condo was fully stocked with everything the washer and dryer helped out alot! Suggestion to travelers don't over pack we did and regretted big time! The beach was great we spotted a turtle my kids snorkeled and saw reef fish. Fully stocked condo safe secure -views were amazing from front door to back! The country setting was exactly what we were looking for and the convenience of the Polynesian Center was amazing. We got to explore the entire island. Again I recommend this condo to singles couples families. Clean safe secure.. well worth it! We will be renting this unit again in the future! Thank you Donna for your help!

Ideal location for a relaxing vacation

  • 4 of 5

We spent 9 nights here and enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and the owners were very accommodating.

Watching the sun rise thru the palm trees was spectacular. Bring binoculars! Other family members rented units on Floor 1 & 3. I have to say that Floor 4 definitely had the best view.

The beach/pool combination was great. The protected beach had just enough waves for my 8 year old and her cousins (2,7,9) to play in the waves without getting smashed into the shore. We were out swimming during the day Hurricane Iselle passed and the beach felt safe.

The condo building had lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas.

The unit was fully stocked. We had all the kitchen gadgets we could think of, sand toys, beach towels, boogie boards and all the necessities for a little one (portable crib, high chair, etc).

My one complaint is that the pullout sofa is still broken. It may have been my misunderstanding of the ad, but I believed it was going to be fixed. I do not believe the place could sleep 5 people comfortably unless 3 of the people are small children.

A+ Accomidations

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for a week and a half and had a great time. The property was exactly how it was described.

For first time visitors to Oahu, be aware that this is a good drive from Honolulu. It took about an hour to drive to Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, or any other location on the south side of the island. But I would stay here again because it was nice to get away from the mob of tourists staying in the Waikiki area.

I believe one or two bad reviews for this place are simply unrealistic expectation. This is not a hotel. You will not have someone cleaning your place or doing your laundry during your stay. That is up to you. The condo complex is a few decades old and sits right on the beach so the paint is peeling above the shower and the curtain rods are rusting. There are also a few small lizards that can be spotted around the complex at the night. But we kept the kitchen clean and didn't have any problem with unwanted reptile intruders.

Anyone staying during the 4th of July should be aware that the main highway gets pretty busy for the Turtle Bay fireworks display. Either go early and plan to be there all day or stay away and off the roads. We did the later and had a great fourth.

Again, I highly recommend this place to anyone. You will not be disappointed.
