About Richard Alexander
My son Devon and I own Kays Kabin. We live in Chattanooga Tn. My late mother Kaye Perry bought this property in 1998. In Dec. 2007 we tore down the'old' cabin and had Rocky Mtn. Builders-Adam Gilreath and Chris Steele build this new one.I highley recommend them as they are my good friends now. We have a tile business so we were able to do lots of work ourselves. This is our 'Dream Cabin' that we visit at least once a month, with our family and friends. When I try to tell people about Suches, it's hard to put it into words. This place is special, the people are unbelievably friendly. Everyone who comes here loves it and wants to come back. We hope you will too. Thanks for your inquiry! Richard
Richard Alexander purchased this Cabin in 2008
What makes this Cabin unique
The Cabin benefits: Appalachian Trail just out the front door. The Hammock, I can't explain it, you just have to experience it yourself. Memories made around 'The Fire Pit', and early morning coffee while gazing at the fish are unique benefits that our cabin offers.

Quiet Cozy Cabin in Natural Setting
This cabin was definitely a peaceful retreat from a busy daily life and work. That was our purpose and it filled the bill.
Perfect place to stay for a few day of hiking.
Stayed here for a few days of hiking the Appalachian Trail and was very pleased. Cabin was very nice and everything we needed was provided. Would stay again if ever in the area.
The location so close to the Appalachian Trail was perfect for our trip. The cabin's notty pine interior made for a warm and cozy place to come home to after challenging hikes and drives through the mountains. The wrap-around deck was also nice for relaxing or having dinner outside.
One improvement I would suggest would be to install some blinds on the windows, at least in the bedrooms.
Perfect place for a retreat!
We enjoyed our stay at Kays Kabin. Everything was just right for our weekend stay! We loved being able to sit out by the fire pit in the evening to have some conversation. Nice, clean cabin! The proximity to the AT (Appalachian Trail) was a bonus! We took a short hike up the trail and the view was AWESOME! I would definitely recommend this place for a small retreat 6-7 people or a place for a family to get away for a great time together. Only about a 20 minute drive into Dahlonega and pretty much whatever you might need is available there. Great place and great owners!
