Custom built “Accessible Home

In 2018 the owners completed construction of this vacation home on a private road, directly on the Nubble and across the street from the ocean. Enjoy the (partial) ocean views and only a 5-minute walk to Long Sands beach. Short Sands beach and the Nubble Lighthouse are both a 10-minute walk. When you are not at the beach you can enjoy your time outside on the covered deck on the 3rd floor. This home is accessible to each floor via a custom-built elevator. Other accessible features include larger hallways/doorways and spacious bathrooms make it easy to get around for everyone. To maximize the ocean views, this is an upside down house featuring a 1,400 sq. ft. open concept 3rd floor with the kitchen and living room and a 17 x 17 covered deck with a large weber grill. The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances, gas stove, granite counters, large island and walk in pantry and is stocked with all the essentials. The deck from the 3rd floor looks south to long sands beach and west to the beautiful York sunsets, making this a perfect spot to start or end your day. The 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms, one with a queen bed + full bed, the 2nd is a master suite with a queen bed and en suite bathroom and the 3rd bedroom has a queen bed. This floor has a large 10 x 22 common bath with a large soaking tub and large walk-in shower design to accessible and a wheelchair accessible toilet. The 1st floor (ground floor) has a bedroom with a king bed and en suite bathroom. The 25 x 25 garage provides ample space for a large van and for storing all your beach toys. Other great features include: Classic shingle style beach house, Fully stocked kitchen, Washer & Dryer, Hair dryers in each bathroom and make-up mirrors, 8 beach chairs, large cooler and beach umbrella

The house was nice and a nice location. Please consider reviewing towel washing process. Several “clean” towels were not clean. Thankfully they were able to be washed. Also please consider fixing small plastic strip on ground near entry patio. Several people tripped on this. Otherwise we had a nice time at this house. Location was good and house had all we needed for the week. Highly recommended.

This property was perfect, especially for my 88 year old mother. The elevator, handicapped bathroom/shower, and wide walking areas were ideal. The house was very clean and equipped with plenty of towels, kitchenware, etc...It is within walking distance to Nubble Lighthouse, ice cream, beaches and shopping, and had great views of the water across the street. Also, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport are very close, so plenty to do! I highly recommend this house!

Fully Accessible Beach House

We chose this house for its accessibility features so that our parents could join us and the house was indeed well-suited for everyone, especially with the elevator. The location was fantastic, close to both Long Sands and Short Sands beaches and Nubble Light House. The garage had tons of beach gear; the house was spacious; and the deck with the ocean views was perfect. The kitchen was well-equipped and the furniture was very comfortable. The front door keyless lock did not work but we were able to just use the garage door opener. Some of the outlets didn't work and it would have been helpful to have the instruction manual for the Nest thermostat. Overall it was a great house for our family and we would recommend it, especially for the accessibility features.

Family Summer Vacation

This house was perfect for our family vacation. Having the elevator gave my 87 year old mother the opportunity to move about the house with ease. Afternoon happy hours on the covered deck was another hit with the group. The pantry is very handy since there isn't a lot of cabinets. The only minor thing is for a house that size the refrigerator is small. We made lots of great memories!! Thank you

Great Property, Great Location

Wonderful property! Note for wheelchair users: there is a step to get into the front door, but once inside there were remotes for the garage door. The enterence from the garage is step free with a small ramp. There is a significant threshold into the showers, not roll in. There is a standard tub on the first floor that works with a tub shower transer bench if you bring your own.

York Beach Stay 2023

PERFECTION!!!! Superb York Beach location, excellent layout, fastidiously clean, great amenities. Family member had disability and the elevator provided great ease, and assisted with bringing in all the weekly supplies. Home provided gorgeous views, lots of space, clean sheets, towels and so many wonderful and thoughtful beach accessories. It's an easy walk to beach, restaurants and even the lighthouse. Our single complaint is that the master bathroom downstairs had a toilet with LESS and "1" of water, Despite 3 days of rain, we all easily fit inside this beautiful home with lots of space and privacy. we have already booked for next year and can't wait!

Amazing Family Holiday

We had an amazing family holiday with both sets of grandparents and our children. The home was perfect for all the generations giving us a vacation for the memory books for sure! Walk to the beach was easy, the location was fantastic, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything imaginable and plenty on linens ! HIGHLY recommend!!!

Nubble/ York Beach Dream Home

Three generation family beach trip with fabulous accommodations. I didn't have contact with property managers because everything was communicated prior to arrival. All you need for cooking is supplied. We've been going to this area for over 30 years. This is the best house. Third floor living space with 360 degree view. Only suggestion is trim the tree near the deck to open up the view of the ocean. Awesome beach chairs and other beach supplies with a .5 mile walk to Long Sands. Highly recommend. Elevator was essential to haul up groceries and for older generation. Fully handicapped accessible. All rooms spacious. Lower level bedroom great for privacy. Thanks to the designer of this family friendly home. Larger dining table would be on my wish list, seating for 10.

Wonderful

We had an amazing time at this property. Amazing location. Beach, downtown york, and lighthouse and ice cream within 5 minutes driving. Property was clean, exactly as advertised. Quiet street. Not much a view. There is a large tree obscuring much of the view of the ocean (did not bother us at all). Only slight issue we had was that the place was advertised as having 4 parking spots (two in garage and two in driveway). We have rather large vehicles. They were hard to maneuver due to large rocks placed right on the grass next to driveway and our trucks did not fit in garage. Other than that, zero complaints.

Great ADA House, Great Location

House was perfect to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary as my father is in a wheelchair. The location was also great with an easy walk to the beach and shops. Thank you!

Best Beach Trip Ever!

We were in Maine for my daughter's graduation and decided to stay a few extra days at the beach. We had family with us who had never been to York and it was the best vacation. The house was beautiful and provided everything we could need at the beach. Location was perfect, too. Thank you, Heidi!

Great vacation home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was well-equipped, spacious, and very clean. Being right across the street from the ocean, the third floor has a great view. All of the appliances were very nice, the couches were super comfortable, and we appreciated the grill running on natural gas instead of propane tanks. House management was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had leading up to and during our stay. The location is conveniently close to the beach, while also being far enough from the crowds. The area is very quiet at night, and great for families. We would definitely want to return to this property for future trips.
