This fantastic end unit in Palmetto Dunes on Hilton Head Island has tons of light with great views of the 1st hole of the Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront golf course. It also has the benefit of being close to the beach so you can easily walk or bike for a day in the sand. Both bedrooms open to the patio or a balcony with a golf course view. Outdoor seating for six on the private patio.

Beautiful place to stay with my family ! Hosts were amazing ! I had everything we needed in the kitchen to Eat in. Great location! Walking distance to the beach and you could rent bikes right inside palmettos dunes at Hilton head outfitters. Would definitely come back !

Clean and functional

We loved our stay at Jim and Jenny’s place. It is a well-appointed condo with a comfortable set up. The walk to the beach was very doable with kids and the proximity to the pool within Water Oak made it easy to use. We love Palmetto Dunes and this quiet location was a great fit for us.

Fabulous Stay at Water Oak Condo

We had a fabulous stay at the Water Oak condo. The condo was nicely maintained and had many upgrades. The kitchen was well stocked and we especially liked having a crockpot! Jim was a pleasure to deal with and was very responsive to my inquires. We loved our stay so much that we already booked for next year!

Ideal location in Palmetto Dunes. Easy walk to the beach, tennis courts, golf course and General Store. Quiet community with nice pool. Owners are great to work with - excellent communication and very responsive. Very spacious and comfortable condo - perfect for our family of 4 (including two teenagers). Loft space was ideal. Back patio overlooks golf course. Everything you need for a comfortable stay on HHI.

Perfect location in Palmetto Dunes.

We had family staying at a larger house in Palmetto Dunes. This gave us a little more privacy and space but was still super close to joining up with the larger group. Rented bikes and it was even easier getting around.

Beach vacation

Great property and communication with host. Had everything we needed and more. Our only issue was the check in, the property was not cleaned on arrival for 4p check in but the host was quick to respond to our text and got cleaning staff there within a half hour. The property was thoroughly cleaned. We appreciated his promptness to the issue and his generous offer to buy us a round of drinks. We would definitely stay here again. Great location and we were very happy overall.

The Perfect HHI Getaway

This condo is absolutely perfect for a family getaway to Hilton Head Island! It is stocked with all the necessities to make this your home for your stay. With it situated on the golf course, there are peaceful views and many wildlife sightings. We enjoyed walking to the General Store each evening for ice cream and visiting The Dunes House for a meal overlooking the ocean. This place is a gem and we’ll definitely be back again!

Wonderful condo, amazing location

We had such a lovely time staying at this condo. This is a beautiful home in a gorgeous location right on the golf course in Palmetto Dunes. The hosts have thought of everything to make their guests feel at home. I was overcome by the feeling of quiet and calmness in this spot. The resort is gorgeous and the condo is so roomy and comfortable. Jim and Jenny were thoughtful hosts who made the process seamless. My family and I are so happy we found this home!

Overall experience at this villa was fine. We had some minor issues (wrong size sheets for pull out couch, central air/google nest issues, broken master toilet handle). The host was extremely accommodating in making sure every issue was rectified in a timely manner. Two suggestions would be to add at least 2 more chairs for the kitchen area and another loveseat or chair for living room area. This would accommodate the 8 person villa that is advertised.

Beautiful location and fantastic vacation home

Second year at Palmetto Dunes on Hilton Head. The perfect spot for a family vacation. We stayed the first week in May and the weather was perfect! Jim was great to work with and answered all our questions promptly. Check-in process was easy and the home was well stocked with everything we needed. There are 4 beach chairs, beach toys and 1 bike (which was great as we were able to rent 1 less bike for the week!). If you have not been to Hilton Head Island before, you will not regret it! It is idyllic! A picture perfect vacation and the kids loved it! We'll be coming back for sure!

It’s okay for a very short stay like a week or less!

Outdoor was not at all cleaned and it iwas not useful for us. Electrical plugs are not updated. Dishwasher was a headache. Crockery was mixed and unmatched. Main bathroom exhaust fan was not working.

Palmetto Dunes is our favorite place to stay on the Island. We loved this location! We could hop on our bikes and be standing on the beach in 5min. We could bike to the Robert Trent Jones Clubhouse in less than 10min. The deer are always around the back area as well. Communication with the owners on any issues we had were handled immediately.

Great "Active" Vacation

This stay was perfect for us in that we had everything we needed in both the location and the condo, itself. The property was clean and the neighborhood was quiet, yet we got in great beach days, Pickleball, nice walks, and biking. A perfect combination of recreation and relaxation.

Palmetto Dunes Water Oaks is Amazing!

We have stayed in other Palmetto Dunes property, but really enjoyed this location better. We loved the easy access to the beach and the Dunes restaurant is also walking distance. Jim was great to work with and check in and check out was so easy. There is two large bedrooms and a loft with bunk beds. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, which was nice. The neighborhood is so quiet and the beaches are beautiful. We really enjoyed our vacation at HHI! Can't wait to come back. Thanks Jim and Jenny!

Excellent HHI Trip!

We enjoyed our stay at this VRBO and, as always, our visit to Hilton Head! The location is privately tucked into a grove of Magnolia and Palm Trees along one of HHI’s beautiful golf courses within Palmetto Dunes. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and walked to the General Store nightly for soft serve ice cream! The owners were helpful, quick to respond, and provided an excellent guide prior to our trip. We’d certainly stay here again in the future!

We're a family from Columbus, Ohio who loves spending time in Hilton Head. We love biking everywhere on the island; enjoying the breweries and restaurants; and relaxing on the beach. We've been hosting since the beginning of 2021 and love hearing when families enjoy Hilton Head and our condo as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Both my wife and I have been visiting Hilton Head since we were kids and have continued vacationing there with our four (now grown) kids. We love Palmetto Dunes for it's great bike paths, lagoons, amazing golf and beautiful, uncrowded beaches... as well as being within walking distance of THE General Store.

What makes this property unique

Our condo looks out to the first hole of one of the top rated golf courses on Hilton Head. Close enough to see golfers but far enough to not be noticed. We are an easy and beautiful walk to the beach. And with Hilton Head being so bike friendly, we are an enjoyable ride to Coligny, Harbor Town and countless restaurants and breweries.
