About RC

I am a Dad with 3 children. I have been going up to the cabin since 1967, and my kids have been going up since they were newborns.

RC purchased this cabin in 1965

Why RC chose Northeast

I purchase the cabin from my two aunts, my uncle and my father when they inherited it from my grandmother after her death. I have been going up there since 1967.

What makes this cabin unique

Very close to the lake. No highway noise. Very private location. Cabin rates high on character and charm. Cabin is a great place to escape from city life and read, talk, sleep, walk, hike, play games, etc.

Cozy

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for our family of 5. Wet weather kept us off the beach, but playing board games and listening to records kept us entertained. Cabin had everything we needed. Location is outstanding (so close to drive to hikes and parks we wanted to visit). Lakeview exceptional. Would love to come back again!

Beautiful Spot

Awesome location on Lake Superior. Cabin was spotless and well maintained. Mattresses were not very comfortable.

Peace and Quiet

  • 4 of 5

This is what I longed for. A quiet cabin on the lake. Lots of hummingbirds, a few loons, and a beautiful moon shining on the lake each evening. The cabin itself is quaint and if you leave your books and games at home, there are plenty in the cabin to keep you occupied (along with some DVDs and even some LPs!). We did not use the loft bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and cook meals. The fireplace was awesome! Mostly it was just a peaceful place but close enough to hiking, shopping and the alpine slide.

Pictures can't capture it

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is the coziest place on earth and happens to be located on one of the best pieces of shoreline on the north shore. Close to a ton of cool things and 150% worth the cost.
