Excellent getaway
Very clean, comfortable and functional cabin. Best stocked kitchen that I’ve experienced through a vacation rental. I appreciated the extra notes throughout the cabin indicating how things work. Would stay here again.

exactly as expected
Fantastic stay at a fabulous place. I booked this place as a long ski weekend for a total of three couples. The space was a little small but you don't come to Lutsen to stay indoors. There was enough space for all three of us to have some privacy and two complete bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, and table service or all six of us to sit down to eat at the same time. We had to move stools from the breakfast bar to a table designed for 4 but it worked well enough.

MN winter had the upper hand
The coldest day of the winter thus far was the day we checked in, a high of 8 below zero. When we checked in the cabin was freezing. The thermostat read 54 degrees, with an unwelcome "Do not adjust" taped instruction on the front. Evidently, the thermostat is controlled remotely? We turned on the fireplace but with plummeting temps outside, it was a slow warm up, and upon going to bed we felt we had to turn the fireplace off, and the temps plummeted again. I've been warmer camping.Pipes in kitchen and upstairs bathroom were frozen for about the first 30 hours we were there. My son had a part time job of working on getting the pipes open.To say this is a three bedroom is generous. One of the "bedrooms" is a bed on the side of the stairway on the way to the upper bedroom, just enough room for the bed but not much more. And the bathroom upstairs really qualifies as a half, as it is very small.

Perfect place for our weekend ski trip to Lutsen
We had the pleasure of staying at Little Bear Lodge on one of the coldest weekend in January. The cabin was very cozy and comfortable throughout the weekend, despite the negative temps. The cabin is approximately 6 minutes away from the Lutsen Mountain which you can’t beat! The cabin’s kitchen was very well stock with anything we could need including spices, plastic baggies for sandwiches, and a water heater for those of us avid tea lovers. On evenings when it was too chilly to go out, we enjoyed the games and puzzles that were at the cabin. I highly recommend Little Bear Lodge for any group coming up to Lutsen for the weekend!

Beautiful Respite
This year was our 5th year in a row spending Thanksgiving on the North Shore w our family. While we’ve been going up for the past 30 years, this may have been my favorite place we stayed. Cozy, private, and super relaxing. The host was great and very communicative. Since it was a football fest for the weekend, we did bring our own TVs since they don’t have them but otherwise, I expect we will look to go back here again.

Hiking in the fall colors
The house is wonderful, along with the location. We wanted to hike around Lutsen, and it was a perfect setting. Just enough room with a lovely deck to watch the sunrise and sunset. Loved how close it was to the winery and restaurant at the Lutsen Mountain.

North Shore gem
We absolutely love the Little Bear Lodge! This was our second time staying there and it was just as great as the first time. It has the up north cabin feel but with a modern touch and amenities. It has always been very clean and comfortable. We love how it is off the beaten path, quiet, and in the woods, but still convenient and in a great location. The second floor deck has a great view where you can see Lake Superior. The cabin works great for my family (2 adults, 2 kids, and a dog). Brennan is a great host and we can’t wait to return.

Delightful base for North Shore vacation
We loved our time at the secluded Little Bear Lodge. We spent our weekend hiking to waterfalls, visiting state parks, canoeing in Boundary Waters, and spending precious time with our daughter who lives in MN. It was a perfect weekend. The cabin was clean, comfortable and hosts were easy to communicate with when needed. Thank you.We want to come back.

Family Getaway
We had a great experience at the Little Bear Lodge. My wife and two daughter's (17 & 20) relaxed and enjoyed the coziness and seclusion of the North Shore, deep in the woods and away from the hustle and bustle. The cabin was perfect and a great place to spend a rainy day indoors and not feel guilty about it. Kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner. We loved the 2nd floor deck and enjoyed relaxing and reading while taking in the view of Lake Superior. A very comfortable stay and can't wait to go back.
