  • A quiet little slice of heaven

"My husband and I came to get away for a few days from the Twin Cities to celebrate our first anniversary. Husband said it was the best vacation he's ever had. The property is lovely, very quaint and well kept with a lovely deck and grassy area with shade, a little dock and very pleasant swimming area with a sandy lake bottom. the screened in patio was great for meals and the deck chairs for star gazing. Used the charcoal grill every night for dinner. Lots of quiet beauty on this small lake. Even had some visits from a curious fox. If you want a quiet comfortable getaway, this is it. Can't wait to come back."

  • Comfortable, cozy, relaxing, refreshing!

"Superior Solitude was the perfect getaway! We were just far enough from it all to "unplug" yet close enough to town/hiking trail when we felt like getting out. The home was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a smooth stay. Bed was quite comfy. The night air was cool and quiet and the only sounds were of the waves lapping the shore. Our pups came with and enjoyed swimming along the shoreline and drying off on the enormous deck where there was always a sunny spot. We did not need to contact our hosts, but their numbers were readily available. Grand Marais is a quick drive up the road (13 miles). Try the APA at Voyager Brewing if you go (and they are dog-friendly). Highly recommend Superior Solitude!"

  • peaceful, very clean, they thought of everything.

"the cabin is very well maintained and cared for. all you need to bring is clothes food and fishing gear, everything else you could need is there. the pontoon with the trolling motor was perfect for the lake. we spent hours catching crappies, sunfish, and bass. was very peaceful, so the name peace of pine is appropriate."
