This was our second stay at the property and it continues to be absolutely fantastic.

The mountain stream makes a serene setting and the amenities are second to none. This is our favorite mountain place to stay and we have stayed in many over the past years.

Beautiful Cabin on the Creek

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed for 5 nights and loved the cabin more than we anticipated. Every inch or woodwork is original and unique. Very spacious cabin with a full basement that is perfect for movies, games, and hanging out. There is a back porch on every level that overlooks a beautiful creek. The creek is by far the most undersold feature of this property. The water was cold but refreshing and after we took my daughter in the creek on day 1, we couldn't get her out. The creek has multiple sections of very minor whitewater that is perfect for taking a ride in a tube. Overall, we loved our time in this cabin and would recommend it to anyone.

Owner's Response: We are so happy that you guys had such a great trip. The creek is definitely one of the best perks of the property. Being right on the river allows you to enjoy it and still be close to the house. Please plan to come back soon.

The best mountain vacation property we have ever been to!

  • 5 of 5

There are so many things about this property that make it a great place. The home itself is a great design and the decorations are mountains and cabin decor but without that cheap thrift store cheesy look. The creek and creekside firepit and sitting area make this secluded home a place to really relax. It's a place we will certainly return to.

Absolutely Amazing

  • 5 of 5

This vacation was perfect. We are a family of 5, children ages 3, 5 and 7. We loved every single second of this trip. My kids played on the playground out front every morning before we headed out for a day trip. Once we were home in the afternoons we hung out by the river, we fished, walked along it and the kids even got in it one day when it warmed up. We used the fire pit almost every night as well as the hot tub. We watched movies, sat by the fire inside. All around the cabin was perfect.

We loved Ellijay and it was close to many fun activities. We were there in the spring so the Apple Orchards were not open but we hiked Amicolola Falls, fall branch falls, went to blue ridge, Dahlonega. Many things to do close by. We can't wait to return!

BEST vacation rental in the area!

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed several times in the area and this was by far the best rental we've found! The house was spotless from top to bottom and stocked with everything you could possibly need. We were surprised to see they even had black out curtains, professionally installed baby gates at the top of the stairs, and labeled everything so you could find it easily. The layout (3 stories, 1 bedroom/1 bathroom on each level) is perfect for multiple families and gave us privacy when we needed it. Having firewood available for guests upon arrival was brilliant and the gas grill worked perfectly. We loved the kitchen and enjoyed cooking dinner because everything was top of the line: the gas stove was a huge perk, the pots looked brand new and cooked evenly, and the kitchen knives were sharp and sliced through everything like butter (unlike the dull and worn items you usually find in a rental house kitchen). The beds were comfortable, the linens were high thread count, soft, and clean and we slept better than we sleep at home! The house was perfect in every way but what was outside is what made it the best rental we've ever stayed in. The views and sounds from the house of the river are mesmerizing. It was 35 degrees the day we arrived but our kids still stayed outside playing on the playground and on the river rocks until dark. In fact, they had so much fun playing outside they didn't ever use the huge flat screen TV downstairs. The first full day we drove to Amicacola Falls (spent about 1.5 hours exploring and it was so pretty!) then drove to Dahlonega for a tour of the Consolidated Gold Mine (an inexpensive underground gold mine tour that we all enjoyed) ate lunch at Shenanigan's and then drove to Helen. The second day rode The Scenic Railway (do the open car!) then explored the Blue Ridge Lake Recreation Area (beautiful colors!) and ate dinner at the Taccoa Riverside Restaurant (great views and trout). The third day we stayed close to home but did venture out to Downtown Ellijay for ice cream and antiques. Half of our group ate Pooles BBQ (must try the ribs!!) and the other half ate at Charlie's Italian. Both restaurants were fantastic! We stayed for 5 days and honestly wish we had booked for at least 7...we will be back!

There are a lot of fun mountain festivals during the year. A big one is the Apple Festival in the fall.
