Welcome to Mallard Cove, your perfect escape nestled in the woods yet conveniently close to everything! This spacious cabin, set on over 3-acres, offers a serene lakeside experience while being part of the popular Tobacco Branch Village.

Enjoy private access to a 5+ acre stocked lake right from the property—ideal for fishing (no license required), kayaking, swimming off the floating dock or just soaking in the natural beauty. You also have a 10-acre grass field with pavilion, BBQ grill, 2 shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pit and babbling brook to entertain the kids, dogs or just enjoy the outdoor space.

Charming Cabin Features:
Main Level: Relax in the cozy 2 story living room with a wood burning fireplace, or whip up a meal in the well-equipped kitchen and dining area. Enjoy the comfort of the master bedroom with an ensuite bath, or take in the fresh air on the large covered porch and front deck.
Upper Level: The upper floor features two additional bedrooms and a shared bath, offering more space for family or friends.
Lower Level: A completely separate apartment with one bedroom, living room and eat in kitchen. This level also houses the washer and dryer. It can be closed off for privacy with a door on the main level.
Outdoor Fun: Grill up some delicious meals on the charcoal BBQ, gather around the fire pit for s'mores and storytelling under the stars, or explore the surrounding woods and lake on our private trails.

Great family vacation

The house was very clean, well stocked and large enough for our family of 5 and dog to have plenty of space. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed swimming in the private lake. The owners are very helpful and it was overall a great experience.

Heaven on Earth

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to gather with family! The house was spacious and comfortable and very clean! We loved the pond and surrounding area! Swimming, fishing, fellowship and a little piece of heaven to enjoy!! We will definitely return!

Very nice house. Great location. The men and kids loved the fishing right down the hill. We were able to park all three vehicles side by side, just back them in. We would rent again.

House is very nice, clean. Communication with the host was great. Unfortunately the internet reliability and speed was not great and we had to cut our stay there short because of it.

Wonderful place

This place was perfect for our family. We had 6 adults 2 children ages 5 and 3 and 2 infants under 2. There were 3 levels which gave each family their own space but also the main level which was great for gathering during the day. Patrick was easy to contact and quick to respond. I would recommend this place for any family gathering.

Beautiful Getaway

The house was very clean and well stocked. The owners respond right away if you need anything or have questions. The location was perfectly centered for all activities. We did white water rafting , kayaking and swimming at lake Fontana, while my husband enjoyed the tail of the dragon. All of which is in close proximity to the house. Our family consists of adults, teens, young adults and everyone had a wonderful stay. We make this trip yearly and I look forward to staying at Mallard Cove again.

Couples get away

This house was very nice. Well stocked with items we might need, no cookie sheet or pizza pan! Location is fantastic close to many things. There is a steep hill down to the lake, a house next door that is really close and a pretty busy road on the other side but over all it was so quiet and beautiful. The owner communicated quickly and were very helpful. We would stay again and would bring more people! It was clean, quiet, close to fishing/hiking with plenty of room! Also for those who care which we did not; there are no TVs in the bedrooms.

Christmas trip

House was nice, clean and overall great for our family. But parking was not good! If you have more than two cars pick another home. Also don’t go in rainy weather. Driveway is very bad and almost needs a 4 wheel drive in good weather. Very steep steps out front and twice as many in back of home. Again home is great but driveway and parking is not

Perfect Getaway for our Family of 8

Loved our stay at Mallard Cove, the home was wonderful and the perfect size for our family of 4 teenagers, parents and grandparents. The home had everything we needed and the Christmas decorations were lovely. The fireplace and rocking chairs on the deck were a fav, also the view of the pond and surrounding area was nice. The home was clean except for one issue, the stove had something spilled in the bottom of it, looked like grease, so we were unable to use it. Thankfully, there are two full kitchens so we were able to use the one downstairs. The hosts were very responsive, I had one question during our stay and they were quick to accommodate. I would recommend this home and would stay again!

Had everything we needed

Parking is a bit of an issue. 1 car is okay 2 is manageable but 3 won't work. The house is very nice, comfortable and clean. Check-in was a bit stressful but it all worked out. I believe the pond has been over fished to the point of there not really being any fish in there which was a bit of a disappointment to some of our party. I would recommend this place to others.

Everything was awesome and quiet! It wasn't too far from everything we wanted to do, we fished, we shopped, we rode some of the good curvy roads. Fishing wasn't all that great because of the full moon. We had a great time overall. Thank you!

I have been coming up here to vacation with my parents since I was a child. Now that my husband has also fallen in love with the area, we decided it was the only choice for our family vacation home! We love traveling and feel that of all the places we have been this is our very favorite place to be when we have time off. The house and the surrounding area provide everything a family might expect when they imagine vacationing in the Great Smoky Mountains.
